"I really liked the layout of this room. The location is super close to Moon Lake, which was convenient for getting up early to snap some peaceful photos. I went at 6 AM, and even the noodle shops were open, though there weren't many people around. Inside the guesthouse, there's a study and a restaurant on the first floor, and a small balcony on the second. The bathroom in my room required going up a few steps, which humorously fit the saying about 'going up for a lucky pee' (a playful Chinese idiom). The small window in the bathroom offered a lovely view of the entire enclosed courtyard, which had a great vibe. This room felt like a 'boudoir,' and the bed inside was very comforting to sleep in. The whole courtyard is in a quiet area but still very close to the main attractions. Overall, a great experience."

"This guesthouse in Hongcun Scenic Area is absolutely wonderful! It has a simple yet elegant courtyard with a strong scholarly ambiance. The owner is incredibly friendly and kind, offering luggage pick-up and drop-off services throughout our stay. They also thoughtfully arranged for us to dine at excellent nearby restaurants for lunch and dinner. Upon checking in, we immediately headed to Wanxing Tower near the guesthouse for stinky mandarin fish and rice with vegetables, which, unfortunately, were quite bland. However, the design of Nanhu Guanyuan itself is very refined and tasteful, and the breakfast spread offers a great variety, perfect for a heartwarming and satisfying start to the day. The guesthouse is exceptionally close to the Nanhu and Yuezao attractions, making it easy to take leisurely strolls in the morning or evening and soak in the beautiful, misty江南 (Jiangnan) scenery. My trip to Hongcun in Anhui was truly delightful, and staying at Nanhu Guanyuan made it even more enjoyable. Plus, the scenic area's parking lot charges a maximum of only twenty yuan for both day and night, which is incredibly good value."

"Facilities: The facilities are good, with everything you need. The room is quite new and spacious. The air conditioning works very well, and the hot water is excellent. The curtains are a bit sheer, so very light-sensitive guests might want to bring an eye mask. Hygiene: The room is clean, and the bedding is clean. There were a few small flying insects at night, so it's best to close the windows early. Environment: The location is truly excellent. It has its own small courtyard, and the window of this scenic room faces Yuetan Pond. Yuetan Pond is right outside, and everything is close by, perfect for early morning photo shoots, haha. Around Yuetan Pond, there are breakfast shops, restaurants, coffee shops, and cultural and creative bookstores, making it very convenient for exploring. The fish lantern parade also comes this way at night. Service: Check-in and check-out were very convenient. The owner is very enthusiastic, provided a travel guide, and contacted us before arrival. They can help with luggage into the village. Overall, very satisfied!"

"The location is simply unbeatable—just a few minutes' walk to the West Gate of Hongcun, and you can even stroll over to Qishu Lake. Exploring the village and enjoying the lake views is effortless, with no need to take taxis back and forth. The hotel environment is quiet and comfortable, and the staff are exceptionally warm and welcoming with attentive service, responding quickly to any requests. The breakfast offers a great variety and tastes very good."

"Opted for this large Huizhou-style guesthouse in Hongcun, and it was a great choice. Its location is super convenient, right near the South Gate of Hongcun. As soon as I arrived, someone from the hotel came out to help with my luggage, which was fantastic service. They also helped me get oriented by explaining the hotel's location on a map of Hongcun and pointed out must-see spots. They didn't leave until I was completely settled in. Following their recommendation, I immediately went to see the evening Fish Lantern show and the enchanting Moon Pond scenery."

"Visiting Hongcun and Xidi, choosing Tanshe made the experience absolutely perfect. The hotel's convenient location makes getting to and from the ancient villages a breeze. The biggest surprise was the infinity pool on the fourth floor, offering breathtaking views of the rolling Huizhou mountains. You get a panoramic vista of mountains, water, and villages, and it's especially atmospheric at sunset, perfect for photos. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the Huizhou-style courtyard offers beautiful scenery at every turn, and the butler service is attentive and well-balanced. After exploring the ancient villages, it's wonderful to relax by the pool, feel the breeze, and wash away travel fatigue. It's ideal for family trips or a relaxing getaway, definitely worth revisiting."

"Had a fantastic stay! First off, the room was pretty soundproof, and the blackout curtains did their job perfectly, letting us sleep in until 8:30 AM. Plus, because of the rain, breakfast was thoughtfully extended until 11 AM, and they even offered a late-night congee service; you could get free congee at the dining hall after 9:30 PM, which was a real lifesaver on a rainy night. The front desk staff were all super attentive, friendly, and polite, and they even offered some helpful tips. The hotel is only a 10-minute walk from the West Gate of Hongcun Scenic Area, and you pass by lots of restaurants on the way, which is really convenient."

"Very pleasantly surprised, I feel the care of home in southern Fujian. Except for the most basic intelligent, open and clean facilities in the house, the boss provides meticulous and thoughtful service from one to the next. Even if there is a large number of people in the peak season, I can take into account every need. The shuttle to and from Hongcun is uninterrupted. Let the Mid-Autumn Festival trip have a lot more warmth. After running around in the day, I spent a pleasant and idle time in the beautiful top floor courtyard with the evening breeze. It is especially interesting that the top floor courtyard also has WiFi in this courtyard alone, and many details are enough to reflect the culture of the homestay. "I brought my mom to climb Mount Huangshan and explore the surroundings. After descending from Huangshan, we came to Hongcun for a visit. Overall, Hongcun wasn't that interesting, but this hotel was a very nice stay. **Location:** It's located at No. 1 Longchiwan, Hongcun Town, about a 15-minute walk from one of Hongcun's gates. It's decent, and since I don't like staying in guesthouses, I didn't choose one inside Hongcun. **Environment:** The family room was super spacious and excellent. The bed was large and comfortable, and the pillows weren't too soft. It was exceptionally clean, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. It even came with a balcony (which we unfortunately didn't get to use). It was pure bliss. The shower was powerful and hot – absolutely loved it! **Service:** The breakfast was good. While it didn't have as many varieties as some larger hotels, it was clean and hygienic, tasted good, and left us feeling full and satisfied. The dining environment was also very pleasant; we didn't experience the noise and clamor mentioned in some reviews. There's a laundry room, which is great even though we didn't use it, and a gym too. Really good!"

The owner is very thoughtful, evident in the room decor, furniture, and choice of toiletries – taste is revealed in every detail. They also provide emotional value to guests, with shuttle service from the scenic area parking lot, welcome fruits, and farewell gifts. The service is also well-balanced. I'd especially like to praise the breakfast and the garden. Although the breakfast is served à la carte with limited options, almost everything is delicious. The guesthouse has a large backyard garden. After a long day of sightseeing, returning and sitting on a rocking chair in the garden makes it feel as if the whole world stands still. The only minor drawback is the poor sound insulation, which might affect light sleepers."
