"Before coming to Hongcun, I didn't have high expectations, thinking it would just be another old village to visit and leave. However, my stay at 'Hongcun Yike Homestay' made me feel that every detail of this trip radiated warmth. Upon arriving at Hongcun bus station, I was unfamiliar with the area and was stressing about how to drag my luggage across the stone-paved paths to the homestay while looking at a map. The moment I called, the owner's enthusiastic voice immediately put me at ease: 'Wait there, I'll be right over to pick you up!' In less than ten minutes, the owner appeared on an electric scooter, swiftly tied my luggage to the vehicle, and cheerfully motioned for me to hop on. We weaved through Hongcun's winding alleys and past bustling crowds of tourists. The homestay was tucked away in a quiet lane near Moon Pond, an excellent location. You could see Moon Pond just around the corner, yet it was peaceful and quiet – truly an oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle. Stepping into the courtyard, I was captivated by this homestay, a renovated Huizhou-style building. The exquisitely carved porch, wooden corridors, and rustic private courtyard exuded the unique elegance and serenity characteristic of Huizhou homes. Inside the room, it was bright and clean. The antique-style wooden bed paired with a soft mattress offered both classic charm and comfort. The night was exceptionally quiet, and I slept soundly. Early the next morning, I opened the window to a beautiful view of the Huizhou-style horse-head walls in the morning light, distant mountains draped in lush greenery, and the nearby sounds of birdsong and fragrant flowers. It truly felt like living inside a traditional Chinese ink wash painting. On the day of my departure, the owner drove me to the bus station as usual, reminding me of other places I hadn't visited in Hongcun along the way. Before saying goodbye, the owner pulled out a packet of chrysanthemum tea from the trunk, handed it to me, and smiled, saying, 'This is our local chrysanthemum tea, take it home and try it.' Holding that packet of tea, my heart felt warm. Staying here truly felt like returning to an old friend's home in Huizhou, thoughtful and considerate in every way. 'Yike Homestay' truly lives up to its name – making one feel 'at ease' (逸) and so content that guests (客) forget to leave. Next time I'm in Hongcun, I'll definitely stay here again."

"The hotel's location is excellent, less than a 10-minute walk to the main attractions. The hotel itself has a serene atmosphere, with a beautiful Jiangnan garden-style setting. You could easily spend a comfortable and peaceful day just relaxing in the courtyard with a cup of tea, without even needing to visit the sights. The cleanliness standards are on par with a five-star hotel, and they thoughtfully provide two types of slippers. The service is very attentive; they offer shuttle service to and from the parking lot, and are both welcoming and discreet. The front desk lady was especially kind, giving detailed directions."

"It's quite close to Hongcun, and there's a small path through the village. The guesthouse has beautiful rose bushes planted behind it. The room was clean and odor-free, and there's an elevator. The only downside is that there was only one mahjong table room and we couldn't reserve it. Parking is available right outside the guesthouse."

"For my 2-day, 1-night trip to Hongcun, I chose Xiyunpan Yue, which is perfectly situated in the core of Hongcun, right on the bank of Moon Pond. This hotel is right next to Moon Pond, so you can step out and enjoy its beauty at any time. I found myself coming out every hour because the scenery changed continuously with the different times of day and weather. During my two days in Hongcun, I was lucky enough to have fantastic weather – clear blue skies, white clouds, and stunning reflections on the lake. Everything was so beautiful, and every photo I took looked like it belonged in a magazine. So, a tip for everyone: be sure to check the weather forecast before you go. Hongcun's scenery is gorgeous, and the hotel was excellent; everything was just perfect. The hotel staff even arranged pick-up and drop-off at the West Gate, so you can book with confidence!"

"Tachuan's autumn was made even more beautiful by this guesthouse. I searched on Ctrip for a long time, worried about hygiene issues, but this guesthouse really paid attention to details and was very clean. The moment I opened the door, the automatic welcoming ceremony from 'Xiao Ai' (smart speaker) was very touching. It's right at the entrance of Hongcun and the price is excellent value for money. The proprietress is very kind, and the young man who checked me in, Manager Xiao Wang, was extremely helpful with excellent service. From picking me up at the station to helping me find a car for my travels, he saved me the anxiety and exhaustion of not having a car in Hongcun. The prices were also reasonable. Anyone worried about drivers getting upset in Hongcun can completely entrust their needs to him. At the village entrance, he even used a small electric cart to help with my luggage. There are Hello e-bikes nearby, so you can go to Lucun early in the morning to watch the sunrise. Thank you for providing such a 'utopia' after my busy work. The hygiene was indeed top-notch!"

"I absolutely love this hotel! It's right on the edge of Hongcun village, just a few minutes' walk away. I'm especially fond of the hotel's decor – it's elegant and stylish. The hotel boasts a very spacious lounge area, perfect for enjoying tea and conversation. It's incredibly comfortable for relaxing, and they even offer complimentary tea, snacks, and sweet potatoes. There are also two adorable cats roaming around! Breakfast is served on the hotel's top floor, which offers breathtaking views, including the morning mist over the mountains. All the staff are very friendly and polite. I originally booked for just one night, but I loved it so much that I immediately extended my stay for another night. Highly recommend!"

The bathroom amenities and bedding are of good quality, and the decor has a charming traditional aesthetic. The complimentary items provided, such as the peach wood comb, toiletries, towels, and cotton-linen slippers, are all of high quality. It feels like you're bringing home a lot of lovely souvenirs after just one stay! Service: The hotel staff are friendly and welcoming, always greeting guests with a smile and patiently resolving any issues. Breakfast is quite generous, and in the evenings, they even provide complimentary chilled mung bean soup and Bingfen (a local dessert) when you return to your room. Environment: The hotel is nestled amidst ancient architecture and traditional gardens. Staying here allows you to truly appreciate the distinctive black tiles, white walls, and blue bricks of Huizhou's ancient buildings. I only wish I could have stayed for a few more days!"

"The courtyard was so inviting, we didn't want to leave! In the evening, when the lights came on, illuminating the grey tiles, white walls, and the greenery in the yard, it was incredibly pleasant to sit down, relax, and chat. The persimmon tree with its red fruit was a beautiful sight. The guesthouse is only a 3-minute walk from the South Gate, so we didn't have to go out of our way with our luggage. The owner even helped us carry our bags. Our room was quiet and peaceful, and we slept soundly until we woke up naturally. It's possible our neighbors were just considerate and quiet that night, so it didn't affect us much. Old houses aren't usually soundproof, but overall, it perfectly suited our slow-paced trip."

When I got back late at night, there was complimentary millet porridge, which was perfect for unwinding after a long day.
