"The hotel has a view of the desert from the room. Remember to ask for a room on the 8th or 9th floor. The hotel is located in the south of the new city and is very close to the Desert Park. All aspects are good and parking is also convenient."

"This hotel is highly recommended. The boss is very generous and enthusiastic. The two waitresses at the front desk are very enthusiastic and attentive. They basically respond to all requests. The room is clean and tidy, with complete facilities. The surrounding dining and shopping are very convenient. It is the best place we have stayed in during our trip to Xinjiang. The hotel is so great, it must be rated five stars"

"Staying at this hotel while visiting the desert was super convenient. In the afternoon, the kids could rest in the room, and by evening, we went off-roading in the desert. Coming back exhausted, it was great to have a comfortable room to shower and relax. The service was particularly good, which I really appreciated. You can't compare a 300-priced hotel to one that costs 500 or 1000, but overall, I felt it offered excellent value for money. My child forgot their glasses, and when I called SF Express, the staff helped me arrange the shipping smoothly. The only minor downside was that the laundry room was always busy with a queue."

"First, the good points: The room was spacious and very quiet. The breakfast was incredibly fresh, especially the fruit – I had the sweetest Hami melon! The service was also excellent; the front desk lady was exceptionally sweet and really showed us the generosity and warmth of the Xinjiang people. The hotel's air conditioning was super effective, providing much-needed coolness in the scorching 50-degree summer heat.
Now for the downsides: The hot water in the shower was never hot. I took a shower on a summer afternoon and shivered from the cold. Later that evening, I had my son take a quick rinse, and even he felt the cold and opted not to wash his hair. Also, the shower floor was very slippery, but there was no anti-slip mat. While there was a tissue box in the room, it was empty. Plus, there were mosquitoes but no mosquito repellent. My son and I both got bitten after our showers. Luckily, I travel a lot for work and always have my own mosquito repellent in my luggage, which I plugged in. Otherwise, we would have been bitten much more. These issues definitely need improvement."

"During the peak time on the way back, I passed by Shanshan and saw a lot of places, and finally decided on the Four Seasons Hotel! The warm and thoughtful attitude of the front desk made us feel warm when we arrived in the early morning. Because we were with two babies, the front desk took the initiative to give us two more bottles of water and disposable utensils for children. The breakfast was also very rich and guaranteed to be hot! Satisfied 👍"

"The reception staff are all very lovely and helpful. We especially liked the 24/7 convenient store built right into the hotel, it had great options for midnight snacks and ice cold drinks. The rooms are nice and the bed is especially comfortable, it could be a little cleaner (stains not the doors and frosted glass of the shower) but it’s nothing that really impacted our enjoyment of the hotel! We would definitely come back and recommend others to do the same if they ever come to visit Shanshan.
Side note on attractions - Kumtag desert is very close and it only cost us a 6 Yuan taxi to get there (we even walked back). If you are specifically coming for the Flaming Mountains or Jiaohe Ancient Town then just be prepared that most group outings are from Turpan North Railway Station (50minutes on the Train) or you can go by car but we didn’t try so it may be expensive as it’s further away than if you stay in central Turpan."

"This is a very nice hotel in a remote small town of Xinjiang. Everything exceeds my expectations.
The room is very large. Although my window view is obstructed by the neon signage of the hotel name, I can get natural sunlight into my room.
Everything is new and clean. I didn't experience delay checking in as a passport holder. I was asked a few more questions than other Chinese hotels.
This hotel offers 5 free washer/dryer for guests..."

"This stay exceeded my expectations. The room was very spacious, and all the home appliances were readily available and easy to operate. The hotel's location is excellent, not far from the desert, just a few minutes by taxi. The biggest plus was the complimentary hotel shuttle service, a thoughtful detail that made a real difference.
