Manting Garden Hotel in Qufu Sankong Scenic Area | Meeting Manting during Urban Vacation The Manting Garden Hotel, located on the west side of the Confucian Temple, is only a hundred meters away from the Wanren Palace Wall. Stay at Manting and experience a true 'urban vacation' amidst the morning bells and evening drums.

"A surprisingly good hotel. First off, the location is excellent. It's a 3-minute walk to Wanren Palace Wall and just a street away from the Confucius Temple. As for the environment, it's a charming Chinese garden style, with all rooms being independent villas or townhouses. Regarding service, after check-in, the butler escorted us to our room. We received welcome fruits, and the butler immediately sent over a local travel guide. We were also able to check out late at 1 PM. The only minor drawback was that breakfast was quite average."

The hotel is located within the Qufu Ancient City, adjacent to the Confucius Mansion and Confucius Temple, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites, which are just a 6–10 minute walk away. All first-floor rooms feature private courtyards, while all second-floor rooms come with viewing balconies, and some guest rooms offer direct views of the Confucius Temple. Built in a traditional courtyard architectural style, the hotel incorporates rich cultural elements including multiple water features, an openwork ginkgo tree design in the lobby, and themed relief sculptures. The hotel houses JW Kitchen, an all-day dining restaurant serving buffet with local Qufu specialties; Zouyuan Confucius Mansion Cuisine Restaurant, offering authentic traditional Confucius Mansion dishes and Shandong cuisine; Jiamu Hall Teahouse, an independent tea-tasting area; and the Lobby Bar, providing delicate Chinese-style afternoon tea. It is equipped with comprehensive leisure and recreational facilities, including a constant-temperature indoor swimming pool with a domed natural skylight, aerobic fitness facilities, as well as cultural experiences such as the traditional Chinese First Writing Ceremony for children, Six Arts parent-child activities, and stone-milled tofu making. An ideal choice for both business travelers and leisure tourists alike.

"The room was great and spacious. Even though it was a twin room, the beds were big enough for four people, including two older children. The hotel's ambiance is top-notch; honestly, you could spend half a day just exploring it. The style is charmingly antique. The food and beverage options were excellent. The barbecue at the Beer Garden was fantastic, and the Chinese food at Confucius Banquet was equally impressive. This was the most satisfying hotel of my trip to Shandong. There were a couple of drawbacks, however. I booked a drop-off service to the station, but when I checked in, they wrote down my phone number incorrectly. I wasn't notified until just before I was about to leave, and when I asked at the front desk, I found out they had swapped two digits. Luckily, I inquired, otherwise, I would have been delayed. The front desk also said it was only a 20-minute drive to the high-speed train station, but it actually took almost 40 minutes. It's definitely something to factor in for timing. Other hotels often include complimentary breakfast, but this one didn't. However, the Confucius Temple is right outside, and there are plenty of breakfast spots nearby."

"There's a convenient parking lot; it's right outside the east gate of the scenic area, quite conveniently located. Because it was the off-season, we were upgraded to a better room. The air conditioning in the room was very warm, there were no unpleasant odors, and the overall cleanliness was good. The hotel staff were also very professional, proactively greeting us and even helping to troubleshoot an air conditioning problem. The only drawbacks were the lack of a dryer for the laundry service; we had to take the laundry back to our room to hang it up ourselves. Also, while other hotels in the same price range offer breakfast, this one didn't."

"I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's courtyard design. It would be even better if they could add a clothes rack or some outdoor seating to the courtyard. The hotel boasts a superb location, right next to the Confucius Temple. The site itself was once a granary, and it's now flanked by a Party School and a Marriott hotel. Interestingly, no buildings in the city are allowed to exceed the height of the Dacheng Hall at the Confucius Temple. Breakfast offers a wide variety. The room's bedding is comfortable, and the bathrooms are spotless. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and helpful; on hot days, they'd always ask if we needed water before heading out. The thoughtful touch of a postcard in the room, paired with a pot of tea, provides a perfect way to unwind after a long journey. From here, you can easily walk to the Confucius Temple to witness its morning gate-opening ceremony, evening gate-closing ceremony, and nightly light show. Food delivery services are readily available nearby, and it's only about 1.5 kilometers from Qufu Normal University."

"This guesthouse is a real gem! The room design is superb, the double sofa by the window creates such a cozy atmosphere—perfect for enjoying a cup of tea and watching a movie in the evening. The value is phenomenal; at this price, it even includes a Tmall Genie smart home system, instantly elevating the stay experience. The best surprise is the elevator—no effort at all when carrying large luggage! The room was impeccably clean, spotless; the mattress was just the right firmness, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The location is also amazing—just a 3-minute walk to the attractions, making travel incredibly convenient. The front desk staff were exceptionally welcoming and even recommended a local gem for breakfast buns—delicious and affordable. Overall, a perfect experience, incredibly high value, a true hidden gem—I'll definitely choose this place again next time!"

Hotel near Nishan Sacredland,Qufu
The Nishan Akademia provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. Visitors to Qufu will find that the Nishan Akademia is a fantastic accommodation choice. Boasting a convenient location, the hotel is just 12km from Sishuinan Railway Station and 48km from Jining Da'an Airport. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Nishan Academy Baihua Valley, Fuzi Cave and Nishan Confucius Temple - Entrance all nearby. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. According to our guests, the location of this hotel is one of the best around. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"I highly recommend the Nishan Academy Hotel. It's a garden-style hotel with a shuttle service from the front desk to the rooms. They also offer shuttle buses to Nishan Sacredland and Luyuan Village. The breakfast is high quality. I suggest staying two nights to have a more relaxed experience. Generally, a butler will add you on WeChat and respond promptly to your needs. We stayed in a mountain-view garden room, and the window view was beautiful. On a rainy day, looking out at Nishan shrouded in mist, my child said, 'It reminds me of a poem: 'Where white clouds gather, there are homes.' The mountain-view garden twin rooms cannot be combined (there's a hanging nightstand in the middle that can't be moved). If you're worried about children falling off the bed, you can use a large chair to push against the side of the bed. I heard that the twin beds in the villas can be combined, but with one room and one small courtyard, ordering two rooms for our trip felt less convenient with two separate courtyards, and it was also more expensive. I really liked the breakfast at Nishan Academy Hotel and their Yatang Chinese restaurant; I found them more palatable than places in Qufu city. I recommend checking room types and offerings on multiple platforms and the hotel's official WeChat account. I prefer the 'room + breakfast for two' package and not the ones that include tickets. Although Nishan Sacredland and Luyuan Village are quite large and commuting can be inconvenient, the complimentary dual-park tickets (usually valid for 2 days, with two entries to Nishan Sacredland and one to Luyuan Village) were generally sufficient. However, unlimited entry tickets offer more peace of mind, and more importantly, they aren't expensive."

"Mandarin speaking staff only. Almost at the door step of Confucius temple which was what we wanted. We were dropped off at the rear entrance of the motel which is the car park. The ground of the car park is in need of repair and we were worried by its look. We wonder what we had booked. The front of the hotel or main entrance was OK though. Reception was modern and simple. There is a wall at the back of reception that layout all the town's attractions with its respective distances; very handy. Room is a standard mid grade motel room, clean and functional. Room amenities is controlled from a small phone like screen next to bedhead. Swipe to reveal function like air conditioning. Heated and self flushing toilet for a motel; unheard of! Tried the buffet breakfast once, never again. The dumpling cafe which is diagonally opposite the rear entrance across the car park is excellent value. Nearest shopping centre is about 1km walk from motel."
