Cheap Hotels in Jiangkou

"We stayed for two nights because the hotel is conveniently located near Fanjingshan. While the location was suitable for our visit, the overall experience was disappointing. The hotel was extremely quiet when we first arrived, and it appeared that we were the only guests during our stay. Unfortunately, the level of service did not meet expectations. On our first night, we requested washing powder so that we could do some laundry. We were told that it had run out and that more would be available the following morning. However, when we checked the next day, there was still no washing powder available. More frustratingly, the staff made no effort to update us on the situation or offer an alternative solution. This lack of communication and initiative was disappointing. The bed was also very hard and uncomfortable. We eventually decided to extend our stay by one more night because my wife was experiencing back pain and preferred not to travel. However, our sleep quality did not improve. At around 6:00 a.m., we were awakened by other guests talking loudly in the corridor and by the constant noise of doors opening and closing. The soundproofing appears to be poor, as noises from the hallway could be clearly heard inside the room. Between the uncomfortable bed, inadequate sound insulation, and the lack of attentiveness from the staff, we did not get the restful stay we had hoped for. ."

"Of all the hotels I've stayed at during my trip to Guizhou, this one was by far the best experience. Not only are the facilities great, but the service is excellent too. Plus, the hotel has a water play area downstairs, which is perfect for families traveling with kids in the summer. Highly recommended and definitely worth it!"

"Amazing room. Complimentary upgrade on arrival. The host’s even helped organised a carshare to pick me up from the train station. The room had all modern features such as button controlled drapes, heated toilet seat, sophisticated aircon units, large tv, a large circular bath, extremely spacious seperate shower room. Best shower I’ve used after two weeks and multiple hotels in China. All details and attention given and cared for. The room and hotel live up to its name of being extremely clean. 5-10min walk to the ticket office of Fanjing Mountain. Host even picked me up from Fanjing visitors centre due to torrential rain. Would love to stay in that room again.e"

"Very very clean room, as clean as those in top class hotels we’ve been to in major cities. It would have been a 5 out of 5 if it weren’t for the (really) dirty elevator and some details in the entrance that needs to be re-considered (such as the fish aquariums lying on the sidewalk by the street, in the middle of traffic and parking chaos, and the overall appearance of the kitchen visible from the entrance, which should instead shine bright and thus needs improvement). We easily gained assistance from the staff on a couple of matters, so good service."

"Seeking a peaceful retreat, I blindly picked 'Yunfuli Hidden Retreat' tucked away in Zhaisha Dong Village for my trip to Fanjingshan, and I was absolutely blown away! The guesthouse's design philosophy is 'return to simplicity,' with its courtyard brimming with plants. The new Chinese-style garden, combined with the traditional Dong stilt houses, makes every photo-op a masterpiece. My favorite part was the tea set in the room; brewing a pot of Fanjing Cuiya with mountain spring water, sitting by the window watching the misty mountains, and listening to the birdsong instantly brought a sense of calm. There's none of the pretentiousness of a star-rated hotel here, only a reassuring 'host culture' and a slow pace of life. It's the perfect place to unwind for the weekend!"

"The hotel is easy to find; I saw it as soon as I got off the bus at Dongmen, just a few minutes' walk from there. The front desk staff were very friendly and recommended an excellent restaurant where I even got a discount. They also thoughtfully upgraded my room upon check-in. The room itself was great – clean, tidy, with smart features, direct drinking water, a balcony, and a huge TV. Even the toilet was smart, with a heated seat. The hotel lobby is spacious and has large, free lockers for luggage storage. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay."

"Nestled by the mountains and river, the environment is absolutely top-notch. The owner is incredibly kind, and the breakfast is exceptional for a B&B. The decor is thoughtfully designed by the owner's family. It's perfect for family trips, team building, or even a solo relaxing getaway. You could easily stay for several days. Most importantly, I found this to be one of the cleanest B&Bs I've ever stayed in."

The facilities are comprehensive and quite new. The front desk staff was lovely, kind, and enthusiastic. She not only recommended delicious restaurants but also gave me the contact information for a Didi driver."

"Over the years, I've mostly opted for B&Bs when traveling. So, when I saw the spacious, stylish, and comfortable common areas at Huanlin, I was truly surprised. For a B&B, such amenities feel quite luxurious. The room itself is large with simple decor, comfortable bedding, and a full set of disposable toiletries. It also features smart home appliances throughout. Everything was pretty much perfect, except for the bathroom door not having a lock. The B&B is conveniently located, just a 10-15 minute walk from the scenic area entrance and the visitor center. The hostess was incredibly warm and welcoming. After our visit to Fanjing Mountain the next day, she even proactively helped us arrange transport to Tongren, cut us some watermelon, and invited us to share their homemade lunch. Beyond her excellent customer service, she was constantly busy with renovations for the outdoor space in the backyard. It's clear she's put a lot of heart into running this B&B, and I believe she'll bring even more wonderful improvements to Huanlin Courtyard."

"The hotel service was good, and the room I booked was decent. The owner was also nice, and parking was convenient. My concerns are: 1. There's nowhere to buy food inside the hotel at night. I had to walk about 1 km to the left to find a small store. I suggest they install a vending machine. 2. The shower area in the bathroom had no light, and the drain was completely clogged. Luckily, we arrived around 11 PM and left by 7 AM, and only I took a quick shower in the morning. Otherwise, I would have had to help the owner unclog the drain! 3. There were a lot of spider webs in the corners. 4. The shelf in front of the TV, meant for putting things on, was crooked and couldn't hold anything steady. 😂"
