"This B&B is located right inside the Dong village, offering a peaceful and quiet environment away from any noisy crowds. The room was spotless, the bedding comfortable, and a full range of toiletries was provided. The owner recommended some authentic local farm-to-table restaurants nearby, where the local dishes were generous in portion and truly delicious. It's very close to the East Gate of Fanjing Mountain, just a few minutes' drive to the scenic area, and they even thoughtfully provided tips for hiking. The courtyard has lots of greenery, and you can see mountain views as soon as you open the window in the morning. Strolling around the Dong village and its drum towers was especially pleasant. It's perfect for us older folks who prefer a relaxed pace of travel; staying here was truly comfortable and reassuring."

"We stayed for two nights because the hotel is conveniently located near Fanjingshan. While the location was suitable for our visit, the overall experience was disappointing.
The hotel was extremely quiet when we first arrived, and it appeared that we were the only guests during our stay. Unfortunately, the level of service did not meet expectations. On our first night, we requested washing powder so that we could do some laundry. We were told that it had run out and that more would be available the following morning. However, when we checked the next day, there was still no washing powder available. More frustratingly, the staff made no effort to update us on the situation or offer an alternative solution. This lack of communication and initiative was disappointing.
The bed was also very hard and uncomfortable. We eventually decided to extend our stay by one more night because my wife was experiencing back pain and preferred not to travel. However, our sleep quality did not improve. At around 6:00 a.m., we were awakened by other guests talking loudly in the corridor and by the constant noise of doors opening and closing. The soundproofing appears to be poor, as noises from the hallway could be clearly heard inside the room.
Between the uncomfortable bed, inadequate sound insulation, and the lack of attentiveness from the staff, we did not get the restful stay we had hoped for. ."

"It might have been the rainy season because the hotel corridors were quite damp, but the view was excellent! We got a free room upgrade from the first to the second floor, and the balcony had a screen door, which was great for letting in fresh air. They even allowed us a late checkout until 2 PM the next day, which was very thoughtful since we went hiking Fanjing Mountain in the morning and could shower afterward before leaving. This hotel was much better than the Anantara we stayed at. The best part was our butler, Xiao Man (007). Since we had just come from Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, we needed to wash two days' worth of clothes, and Xiao Man thoughtfully brought us a portable drying rack! That was a lifesaver, as we didn't have to wait in line at the laundry room to wash and dry our clothes. The view from the balcony was amazing."

"After a strenuous hike up Fanjingshan, we drove to the hotel for a much-needed rest. The front desk staff was incredibly welcoming and courteous, even providing a complimentary room upgrade. A staff member then kindly escorted me to the elevator.
The lobby was grand and impressive. Our room was spacious and felt well-appointed, clearly benefiting from a recent renovation. I particularly appreciated the bathroom's 'three-separation' design (separate wet and dry areas), and the overall cleanliness was excellent. The mattress was very comfortable, and the air conditioning was strong yet quiet. Breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options, truly having something for everyone. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant, where the male server was very attentive, and the prices were quite reasonable.
However, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. All the pillows were uniformly high, which was uncomfortable for me as I prefer a lower pillow, making it difficult to fall asleep. In the morning, when I went to shower, it took over ten minutes for the hot water to come on, and even then, it was only lukewarm. It wasn't hot enough to properly wash my hair, so I just quickly rinsed off and got out to avoid getting cold."

"This guesthouse has an excellent location, very close to the east gate of Fanjing Mountain. The room was spacious and clean, and the large bed was super comfortable for sleeping. The soundproofing in the room is great; even when people in the opposite room were talking loudly and I could hear their voices clearly in the hallway, I couldn't hear a thing once inside my room. The owners are very hardworking; not only do they run the guesthouse, but you can also eat meals there. Their handsome son is incredibly diligent; whenever there are guests dining, he helps serve food and clear tables. I felt terrible when I accidentally cracked a toothbrush cup badly, but the owners both immediately said it was fine and even offered me a new one, refusing to let me pay for it. Thank you so much! 🌹🌹🌹"

"I didn't know what hotels there were in the county town, so I just stayed at this one. I didn't expect to bump into a tour group. The breakfast was average, and the facilities were just okay. You don't need a bicycle in the county town, but I could make do with it. I was just going to climb Fanjing Mountain the next day. The front desk staff was very nice."

"Over the years, I've mostly opted for B&Bs when traveling. So, when I saw the spacious, stylish, and comfortable common areas at Huanlin, I was truly surprised. For a B&B, such amenities feel quite luxurious.
The room itself is large with simple decor, comfortable bedding, and a full set of disposable toiletries. It also features smart home appliances throughout. Everything was pretty much perfect, except for the bathroom door not having a lock.
The B&B is conveniently located, just a 10-15 minute walk from the scenic area entrance and the visitor center.
The hostess was incredibly warm and welcoming. After our visit to Fanjing Mountain the next day, she even proactively helped us arrange transport to Tongren, cut us some watermelon, and invited us to share their homemade lunch. Beyond her excellent customer service, she was constantly busy with renovations for the outdoor space in the backyard. It's clear she's put a lot of heart into running this B&B, and I believe she'll bring even more wonderful improvements to Huanlin Courtyard."

"I looked at many hotels before finally choosing this one for my trip to Fanjingshan. The hotel is a little over an hour's drive from Tongren Railway Station, which was very convenient as I took a taxi from Tongren. It's a ten-minute walk from Fanjingshan, and the hotel offers a shuttle service. It's a garden-style hotel with a nice environment. Since it wasn't peak season, the hotel proactively upgraded my room upon arrival. The room was spacious, and the bedding was comfortable. The room I stayed in the second night had a bathtub, which was very relaxing after hiking. Perfect for a vacation. The hotel also thoughtfully provided us with hiking gloves and offered to bring raincoats when the weather was bad – very considerate! Overall, I highly recommend it and give it a thumbs up!"

"Beautiful mountains, beautiful water, and a kind family. The owner even cooked during the Spring Festival – so touching! 🥹 The rooms were clean and tidy, and because it's next to the mountains, the air was incredibly fresh and comfortable. 😌 The food smelled amazing; we didn't even have time to take pictures before our group started eating! Tourists looking for food in the area flocked here. I recommend the spicy fish with fermented bean curd; the noodles for breakfast were also ”fragrant but not spicy” – the owner's secret recipe. After eating, we had plenty of energy to climb Mount Fanjing. The owner, despite being busy, also took time to pick us up and take us to the scenic area – so hospitable! We'll definitely come back to Tongren again."
