"The biggest surprise of our trip to Pingshan was definitely this guesthouse – I have to give it a huge shout-out! It was newly renovated and opened in 2026, so all the facilities are brand new. Our room was spacious and bright, and the cleanliness was impeccable; every corner was spotless. The location is superb, just a few minutes' drive to Pingshan Grand Canyon, so no need to rush in the morning. My family of four (two adults, two kids) overslept and missed breakfast. The landlady was incredibly warm-hearted and specially cooked a bowl of noodles for each of us. She even thoughtfully drove us directly to the scenic area entrance. It was sweltering hot in the mountains during mid-summer, and we were all drenched in sweat. The landlady then picked us up punctually from the entrance to take us back to the guesthouse. She was on call the entire time, always anticipating our needs and taking care of everything for her guests. The landlady was genuinely friendly and enthusiastic, treating us like family. This trip created so many warm memories because of this guesthouse. I highly recommend it to families traveling with children. Next time we visit Hefeng Pingshan, this will be our top choice! These are my honest feelings, though I did catch 38-degree Celsius weather, which was just too hot!!! I'd suggest coming when the weather is more favorable."

I came to Pingshan Grand Canyon specifically to avoid the peak season. I spent a long time choosing online and finally decided to stay at Pingshui Xiangfeng B&B. As expected, I was not disappointed and the price-performance ratio was very high. The homestay is just a few hundred meters away from the entrance of the scenic area, which is very convenient for catching the first wave of entry into the park in the morning. Although it is called a homestay, its specifications are no less than that of a hotel. There is also an elevator. The disposable supplies are very complete, including toothbrushes, soap, combs, shower caps, shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, toilet mats, and disposable face towels! We had a small meal in the owner's courtyard, and she kept telling us not to clean, that she would do it herself. The service was amazing! They even have breakfast in the courtyard. The lady's stir-fried shredded pork and wood ear mushrooms were freshly made – a Hunan native like myself, I can confidently open my own shop with this skill! She even generously offered her own homemade chili sauce, which I ended up taking home. You'll have to order from her! The owner was always smiling, it truly felt like home. The owner was also very kind; when I asked for coffee, he came all the way from the front desk to grind a cup himself. He even offered to let us pick persimmons if we wanted some.
