To be honest, this phenomenon of villages being densely packed with guesthouses is common in places like Zhoushan too, and as long as there's no noise, I'm perfectly fine with it. The hotel breakfast is very generous; usually, sharing just two portions is enough for an entire family. They also offer different snacks every evening. Renting an electric scooter from the entrance is convenient, and the bicycles provided by the hotel are free. I contacted the concierge in advance to mention my child's birthday, and they kindly provided a complimentary 4-inch cake on the day. So sweet! 🎂"

The bathroom has both wet and dry areas, and the shower water is excellent. The design is reasonable. The surrounding environment is nice, with many places to eat. The front desk staff are very welcoming and even provided a dining guide, which was very convenient. The breakfast is good, with a wide variety of options."

By chance, we stumbled upon Changliu Mountain Retreat. In that moment, surrounded by the mountain breeze, tranquil serenity, distant misty mountains, and lush greenery, I fell in love. It was worth it, and I understood then – the greatest meaning of travel is never about a perfectly executed plan, but rather the unexpected surprises. "The B&B is in a great location, right within Mingshi Garden. There are many picturesque spots nearby for photoshoots, and I saw a lot of people taking artistic photos here. Parking is convenient, and right outside there are several restaurants serving a mix of local and Vietnamese cuisine, which tasted pretty good. The B&B has an elevator, and it's kept very clean. The bedding is comparable to a five-star hotel, and the toiletries are all excellent, well-known international brands. The room view is fantastic, offering an expansive panorama of the fields and distant mountains. My room type even came with a fridge stocked with cold drinks – on a hot day, cracking open an iced cola was incredibly refreshing. Breakfast included freshly made rice noodles, which were quite tasty, as well as milk, eggs, congee, 'malao gao' (Cantonese sponge cake), and sweet potatoes, offering a nutritious start to the day."

A lot of effort clearly went into selecting the items, especially the bedding, which was just the right balance of soft and firm. Even for someone like me who usually struggles to sleep well away from home, I had a fantastic night's sleep. In terms of service, this guesthouse truly lives up to its name – 'hometown,' giving you that warm, homey feeling. The owners and their friends/family are incredibly welcoming and generous, always ready to help. They assisted us with our luggage and even brought us welcome fruits and ginger tea. And the food at the guesthouse is absolutely, incredibly delicious! Especially the roast suckling pig, roast chicken, asparagus, and the small zongzi (rice dumplings) for breakfast – it’s that authentic, humble farm-style taste, truly amazing! The owners also invited us to chat and have a drink together, making for a wonderfully pleasant evening. We truly experienced the simple warmth and hospitality here, making it a beautiful memory of our trip to Chongzuo. If we ever come back to Chongzuo, we will definitely book this guesthouse again!"

Check-in was handled swiftly, with absolutely no waiting time. Moreover, the staff proactively assisted me in booking tickets for the Detian Waterfall for the following day, which saved me a lot of hassle. Throughout my stay, any request I had was met with an immediate response. Their service attitude truly couldn't be faulted. As for the room, I stayed in one with a balcony. It was spacious, bright, spotlessly clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep. The room was fully equipped with all necessary amenities: 24-hour hot water, air conditioning, TV, telephone, and complimentary Wi-Fi access. The Wi-Fi, in particular, was remarkably fast – perfect for streaming videos or gaming without any lag, which was a huge plus for someone like me who relies on constant internet access. The hotel also features a restaurant offering both Chinese cuisine and breakfast. The breakfast selection was extensive, including various porridges, breads, eggs, and more, all tasting quite good. "The rice field view is great, Ming Shi Tian Yuan is a guesthouse worth staying at. Upon arrival, someone greeted us and actively helped with our luggage; the service was excellent. The room was clean and tidy, with complimentary welcome fruits, and the window opened to a beautiful rice field view. The facilities are complete, and the swimming pool downstairs is very convenient. We reported issues with the air conditioner vent noise and a dripping faucet during check-in, and the owner took them very seriously with a genuinely sincere attitude. They offered free bicycle rentals and complimentary drinks from the rice fields, but unfortunately, it was too hot, and we didn't get a chance to use them. Compared to other guesthouses in the same price range, the overall experience was excellent. It's a top choice for a relaxing vacation, and I would consider staying here again if I come back."

"After sifting through numerous reviews and shortlisting a few places, I finally booked this hotel for my parents for 3 nights. It just goes to show that reading reviews and doing your research really pays off for a smooth and enjoyable trip! 😆 The views are absolutely stunning, the location is superb, and the owner is fantastic. My parents were traveling alone, and being a bit older, the owner took wonderful care of them, providing pick-up/drop-off services and plenty of helpful information. The photos were taken by my parents, so their photography skills are, shall we say, 'limited' 😆, but hopefully, they still offer some useful insights!"

"The guesthouse facilities are quite new, with the backyard and downstairs still under construction. The 270-degree glass window offers a nice view, but it's only good from afar; up close, you just see construction below. The hot water was a bit inconsistent, and the bathtub water would get cold quickly, so overall, it didn't feel as reliable as a hotel. Let me emphasize the breakfast: aside from the congee and noodles, everything else was cold. There wasn't much variety to begin with, and even the scrambled eggs with corn and cucumber slices that my child ate were cold. Breakfast officially ends at 10 AM, but we ate at 9:30 AM. All in all, I probably won't stay in a guesthouse again next time."

"I made a last-minute trip to Chongzuo and booked the hotel the night before. It was such a pleasant surprise – a hidden gem! The hotel's location is excellent; it's only 500 meters from the visitor center, and you're surrounded by restaurants like Cha Bai Dao, Mei Yi Jia, and various other eateries. The service was superb. The owner readily helped with parking, making the process effortless. The owner's wife is beautiful and kind, and incredibly attentive to her guests' needs. The rooms were impeccably clean, and the family room had floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning mountain views. The breakfast was plentiful, featuring a variety of grains and cereals, plus freshly ground coffee lattes made by the owner himself – a truly delightful breakfast! Upon check-out, the owner's wife even gave me a souvenir – such a thoughtful touch. I hope this little shop thrives!"
