"Dongjiang Lake is perfect for a relaxing trip. My friend and I compared several hotels before choosing this one, and its amenities and cleanliness perfectly met our expectations. We arrived quite late in the afternoon, and the owner, a truly wonderful and hospitable man, welcomed us as if we were family. I have to commend his excellent service! 👍 The room's floor was incredibly clean – a real treat for someone who loves walking barefoot. The room had absolutely no strange odors and the air felt very fresh. It even had a fresh air and dehumidification system, and surprisingly, their fresh air system is the same brand as mine at home, meaning both incoming and outgoing air are purified. The duvet was very dry, and all the towels and bath towels were disposable, even the toothbrush cups! You absolutely must try their shampoo; I loved it so much I bought a set from the owner to take home – it's really high-quality! We slept in quite late, completely oblivious to the time, thanks to the incredibly comfortable mattress – it turns out it's a Mousse mattress! Crucially, the soundproofing in this place is superb. Even though there's a walkway right downstairs, we couldn't hear a thing. The scenic area is just a short walk from the hotel's downstairs pathway. We didn't get to visit it, though, haha. The hotel is located right by the river, so you can enjoy the misty views from your room, and even from the hotel lobby. I travel many times a year and have a fair bit of experience choosing hotels. Lantingshu is the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in, and its facilities and amenities are the best I've encountered. It's truly a high-quality establishment. Trust me, you won't regret staying here!"

"This stay was fantastic! I brought my kids here for a winter break trip, and the front desk staff was so thoughtful, providing children's slippers and toothbrushes. When we checked out, they even gave the kids a small gift bag with toys and snacks, which they loved. The housekeeping staff was also great, providing extra pillows and blankets for us. The hotel has a gym and laundry room on the same floor, which was very convenient to use. Food delivery was brought to our room by a robot, and I highly recommend the fish noodle soup for breakfast – the Hunan rice noodles were truly delicious! We'll definitely be back."

"Honestly, 100% recommended! If you’re staying in Chenzhou, this is the hotel to pick. The amenities and facilities are spotlessly clean and very new, and the entire staff is incredibly attentive and helpful. Location-wise, it’s a convenient 20-minute walk from Yuhou Street. A special thank you to Miss Zhang (张旭廷) for making my stay so wonderful and making me feel so welcomed. Because it was the low season, I was also treated to a lovely room upgrade (room 6666)! The breakfast was delicious and offered a very authentic taste of Chenzhou cuisine. I would definitely stay here again."

"Excellent hotel, definitely a five-star review! I originally booked the Wyndham, but when I arrived, the restroom on the ground floor lobby had a strong, unpleasant smell, so I searched for another hotel and this one looked good. As soon as I entered the lobby, I was impressed by its light luxury style and sophisticated ambiance. The owner must have great taste and vision. The main entrance design reminded me of the Rosewood Guangzhou. All the different sections of the lobby had a fantastic design. The front desk service was excellent; they upgraded me to a suite, and the floor attendant was also very friendly and welcoming. It was clean and tidy, and the breakfast was abundant. It's just been too hot these past two days; I'll come back in summer or autumn!"

"It's okay! Just like before! Facilities: Alright. Hygiene: Alright. As raindrops tapped against the windowpane, I was tidying up old books. A yellowed copy of ”Andersen's Fairy Tales” slipped out, and from its pages fluttered a clumsily folded paper boat, stained with dried blue watercolor—a ”sailing dream” my grandma taught me to fold when I was seven. I remember it was raining just like that day. We squatted under the old eaves, her rough fingers deftly folding a discarded medicine leaflet into a small boat. She said, ”As long as your heart is sincere, a paper boat can float to the sea.” I believed her, put the boat into the puddle in front of the door, and chased it down half the alley until I tripped over a stone, and the paper boat sank. Grandma didn't laugh at me; she just gently brushed the mud off my knee and said, ”It's okay, we'll fold another one tomorrow.”"

"Traveling to Chenzhou by car, I knew the hotel's location was perfect for getting around. Parking in the backyard was a relief. The room was spotlessly clean, and the bathroom had no strange water odors. The staff were very warm and helpful; any issues could be brought to the front desk and were generally resolved. There were plenty of local food options nearby, right outside the door, and the environment was also good. After a good night's rest, we were ready to continue exploring the next day. Overall, it was a very good stay."

"I found this hotel on Ctrip. It's said to be one of the best five-star hotels in Chenzhou. The lobby exudes the grandeur expected of a five-star hotel. The front desk representative, Xiao Ou, was warm and attentive, always accommodating my needs. Seeing I was traveling with my child, she upgraded me to a quieter room and provided breakfast for my child—such a thoughtful gesture. The room was clean and tidy. While it didn't have the automatic curtains and other features of some smart hotels, the service more than made up for it. The cleaning lady noticed I was doing laundry and brought me laundry detergent. She also provided a variety of fruits every day. The breakfast was rich and varied, including Chenzhou specialties like fish noodles and pig-killing noodles, which my children loved."

The soundproofing in the rooms could use some improvement... Cleanliness: Clean. Environment: The hotel is quite close to the highway exit, which is convenient. Service: The bellboy in the lobby was very polite. When we were leaving, he proactively and warmly greeted us, helped with our luggage, and even brought it to the car. I forgot his name, I don't think I saw a name tag on his uniform. The hotel breakfast was all very clean, and the variety was quite rich."
