"I could definitely see why this hotel has such high ratings. It's less than a two-minute walk from Zermatt train station. The hotel has a cozy Alpine style, and the room was much larger and more comfortable than I expected. It was great to see that both the room and the bathroom were maintained in pristine condition. The breakfast was truly, truly excellent. It was such a clean and well-presented spread that no further explanation is needed. I was absolutely amazed by the breakfast throughout my entire three-day stay. Another great advantage of this hotel is the afternoon tea time (from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM). The coffee, drinks, and soft bread perfectly relieved the pressure of Zermatt's incredibly high prices. This is the best hotel, and I would love to visit again if I get the chance."

"I am travelling with my 80 years old dad and visit Zermatt/Gornergrat for a day and taking Glacier Express in next early morning, this hotel is in perfect location. Just few minutes walk to train station and Gornergrat Railway. Check in is actually happened at the hotel Simi right opposite our hotel. The room is spacious and has everything we need. Also, we have a very nice and big balcony. One thing that I want to say about is the bath tub is too high for us to step in as Asian and for 80 years old man. But overall is good. BTW, there are so many restaurants around and we just went to the Swiss Chalet right opposite our hotel, services and food is really good."

"Check-in is self-service here, but we must have looked a bit lost or stayed too long in the lobby because a staff member promptly appeared to assist us. The staff are incredibly friendly and polite, making us feel right at home. It's conveniently located about 15 minutes from the train station, and at night, you can see plenty of stars. It offers great value for money, especially considering it's newly renovated. I would definitely return for another stay."

From hotel, it is 10 mins leisure walk to cable station to visit Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. Strongly recommended to visit and stay at this hotel."

"The hotel is located directly in the small town, which I personally found more convenient for exploring and dining. The room was just right, offering views of the Matterhorn. It's about a 7-8 minute walk from the train station, though the walk takes you in the opposite direction from the main Matterhorn viewpoints. There was no air conditioning, only heating available, which was perfectly fine during summer as we didn't feel the need for AC."

Breakfast was included in my stay, and it was a great way to start the day. Having breakfast on site makes mornings much easier, especially if you’re planning an early start for skiing, hiking, or taking one of the mountain railways. From a practical perspective, the central location means you can easily access lifts, train connections, and walking routes without needing any additional transport. Everything feels close by, which is a big advantage in a destination like Zermatt. I would highly recommend Hotel Parnass for anyone looking for a well-located, comfortable hotel in Zermatt. It’s a great option if you want to be in the heart of the town with easy access to everything while still enjoying a relaxed alpine atmosphere."

"This seemed to be the cheapest hotel in Zermatt, which was a lifesaver for a solo student traveler like me (even though it was still incredibly expensive!). While it only had basic amenities, including a shower and a bathtub, it was perfectly sufficient for a solo trip. What stood out the most was how incredibly kind the front desk staff were. I bothered them by asking for hot water two days in a row and for an early check-out while they were busy, but they never showed any annoyance and even told me not to apologize. I truly appreciated their help. I'd recommend this place to Japanese travelers (especially students), but be aware that you can hear a lot of noise from other rooms, so if you're sensitive to sound, you might want to look elsewhere."

"At the same price, Pateau Rosa is a room facing Matterhorn, just opposite the cable car, but I just want to book this one. Thinking that there are few skiers in August, this is so biased, it should be upgraded to a south-facing room for me.
