"Great size room! Good bathroom supplies.Tea/coffee facilities,fridge in room and iron which was a bonus. My room view was of a construction crane in this occasion sea view not worth it. Good location, plenty shops/restaurants around. First night was horrible, people drunk banging on doors running up and down corridors, Xmas events were happening in the hotel. I thought St Paul’s bay would be quieter than St Julian’s, I was wrong. It is December I guess. Walls and ceilings thin, could hear everyone! I Didn’t get to use the pool, was filled with small kids each time I went. Spa was expensive compared to other hotels, I used a different hotel at half the price for more treatments instead. At breakfast tables were sectioned off by the windows with sea view and breakfast manager said it was for lunch “because lunch guests complained”. Doing this from 9.30am made no sense and was inconsiderate to breakfast guests. Breakfast was excellent. Good selection and tasty. Reception staff friendly. Pretty Xmas displays throughout hotel. Would I stay again, no."

"Great location if you want to be based in Bugibba, its right by the main square and the seafront. Handy location to access Gozo, Rabat and St Julian’s but a little tedious to get to and from Valletta. Friendly staff all round. Rooms are spacious and the balcony is nice but quite a squeeze for multiple people. Did experience a power cut, a couple bugs in the room and the cleaner entered my room before I had checked out (around an hour before checkout time) but these are minor details considering the price. The “luggage storage” is just leaving your bags in the open near reception and hoping no one takes them - not the best for anxious tourists. Overall pretty decent value for a private room compared to hostels."

"The hotel is situated at a local residential area with a 5 mins walk to the waterfront. This area is on the quiet side with not a lot of tourist. The room is clean and spacious. The pillow menu is good. The room comes with a free mini bar which is good but not sure if it is due to the room types that I have booked. Overall a pleasant stay if you have a car."

"Here are a few polished versions, depending on the tone you’re going for: Option 1: Balanced & Polished (Best for a public review) This hotel is wonderfully dog-friendly and boasts an excellent location. However, we were placed on the 8th floor and could hear loud music from the 10th floor, so I’d recommend requesting a lower floor if you plan to turn in before midnight. The €30 pet fee is reasonable for post-stay cleaning, but unfortunately, our room floor wasn’t as clean as we’d expected upon arrival. Option 2: Concise & Direct The hotel’s dog-friendly policy and central location are major pluses. Just be aware that rooms on the 8th floor suffer from noise carryover from the 10th—book lower down if you're an early sleeper. The €30 dog fee is fair, though the floor in our room could have been cleaner at check-in."

"The Topaz hotel is ok for the price they charge, it definitely isn’t 5 stars but it does the job, could definitely do with an upgrade in most areas, but it was clean, and in a good location, also the staff were friendly, I stayed in a family room on the second floor, it was very nice. My friends had different rooms and those weren’t so great, I would stay at this hotel again."

"First the good hotel clean ,room was clean good size good air con staff all pleasant.now the bad we went as a late booking for my birthday hot food is not hot cold food is not cold its all warm.ai drinks are very limited. But our main gripe is the way the hotel rents areas out to local people areas that a paying guest would expect to get use of ie Small outdoor pool 3 of the 5 days we were there it was used by noisy children for birthday parties so guests could not have use of it.rooftop bar 2 of the 5 nights again no access due to locals using it's more like a community centre should have separate function rooms would not return if I was paid to."

The staff were wonderful, particularly the breakfast girls Julie and Donna who went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable when I was slightly unwell for a couple of days. I would definitely recommend it and will certainly visit again"

"Location was good, within minutes of walking from several bus stops with multiple buses. Extremely convenient when visiting Rabat/ Mdina, Mellieħa and Gozo. Room itself was big and well equipped. One of the towels was a bit dirty and some parts were showing its age but other than that the area was generally kept clean. I felt this was extremely worth the price I paid and would certainly stay here again if possible."
