"It was just perfect. The hotel is new, clean, comfortable. The room is really big and has everything you need. It was a pleasant surprise to get a complimentary mini-bar! I booked this hotel more for an indoor pool and it was really good and warm (not big but ok). Unfortunately, I don't use sauna - it looked also good. I should have paid for the breakfast there - I will do it next time for sure."

📍 Qawra St Pauls Bay, Bugibba

"Location: There is a beach right in front of the hotel, and it is also close to a small bus terminal. Room: Spacious enough for me to stay comfortably with my son. Breakfast: One of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had. Kids’ Facilities: There is a kids’ room where my 4-year-old could play with a staff member, so I was able to enjoy some free time. Swimming Pool: The pool is a bit deep for kids (about 1.3–1.4 m, I think), but the water is pleasantly warm."

📍 Triq Ir-Ramel, San Pawl il-Baħar, Bugibba

"I thought I had booked another hotel..This was absolutely shocking 😲..I had asked for a room with walk in shower which I didn't get till the next morning...The window didn't close in the bathroom either... I was moved the next morning but it' wasn't a great place..they were decorating some of the tools jut it's not for me....I have to say the staff were very good...I asked for a kettle and hair dryer, and got them....The TV didn't work... As you can see by the pictures, it needs a good makeover. The shower cubicleneeds replacing...The balconywas dreadful..couldn't sit out ,evenif the weather was nice. No view ..and as you see..dirty and needs decorating.. Couldn't fault the staff..Extremely helpful, friendly... I personally won't be returning..."

For Rest Aparthotel ★★

📍 Triq Il-Hgejjeg, Bugibba

"I recommend For Rest Aparthotel because of its good location, shops and restaurants nearby. Close to the sea and promenade . The apartment was large and clean, the kitchen is well equipped so you can cook something yourself. The owner was very nice and helpful."

Topaz Hotel

Topaz Hotel ★★★

📍 Triq Censu Tanti, Bugibba

"The Topaz hotel is ok for the price they charge, it definitely isn’t 5 stars but it does the job, could definitely do with an upgrade in most areas, but it was clean, and in a good location, also the staff were friendly, I stayed in a family room on the second floor, it was very nice. My friends had different rooms and those weren’t so great, I would stay at this hotel again."

"This hotel is definitely not 4 star worthy. 3 star is what it should be. The staff were lovely. Food and drinks were great. But the hotel was over packed and busy, which I expected as it was summer holidays but only till you get there do you find out anyone can buy a pass to the pool. Therefore the swimming pool is so busy you can’t get sun loungers and the pool is overpacked with children. Not only this the restaurants are too open to the public. So the restaurants are hugely busy at times not finding a table of 5 for our family with random bits of the restaurant closed off this was very frustrating. The rooms were okay however mine was not sound proofed and next to the stairs so was awoken at 7am to loud clanking up and down. My air-con broke and the tv would turn on when it turned on so I slept poorly. Shower didn’t drain properly. On my final night I washed some clothes and hung them to dry over night, only to find out that the water from the pool above can spill on the balconies above and then drain directly into my balcony, disgusting. Over all for 5 nights I would have payed £400 max not the outrageous £900 I payed."

Soreda Hotel Hotels in Bugibba

Soreda Hotel

"Very mixed evaluation. The hotel is good and very well located, however: - the staff is not often there. We told Maria at reception that our mini-bar was not cooling. Answer, a mini-bar does not cool. We of course had two rooms and in the other, it was completely cold, even too cold. By moving the electrical outlet, it worked. It was reported but no one ever came. - room cards that didn't work three times. Every time we pass, we are told that this happens and the third time, we are told that it is because the tourist tax is not paid. Ironically, we went to reception twice to do this but were told later. - incredible noise in the hotel. The hotel receives groups of young teenagers and they are hellish, we couldn't really sleep until 1-2am. - if you want to reach the reception, pray that your room is with the new facilities. My daughter got a new room and we got a less new one. The telephone did not work and despite reporting it to reception, nothing was done. Otherwise the hotel is good, comfortable, the indoor swimming pool with jacuzzi very good and the restaurant service is excellent. We hesitated with the Seaview and ultimately regretted it. Despite the hotel's good points, we won't be coming back there again, that's for sure."

"Great location if you want to be based in Bugibba, its right by the main square and the seafront. Handy location to access Gozo, Rabat and St Julian’s but a little tedious to get to and from Valletta. Friendly staff all round. Rooms are spacious and the balcony is nice but quite a squeeze for multiple people. Did experience a power cut, a couple bugs in the room and the cleaner entered my room before I had checked out (around an hour before checkout time) but these are minor details considering the price. The “luggage storage” is just leaving your bags in the open near reception and hoping no one takes them - not the best for anxious tourists. Overall pretty decent value for a private room compared to hostels."

"Great hotel,   Affordable,  comfy beds,  balconies,  pool in the summer months,  baths in the room with unlimited hot water,   Can not really find any fault in the hotel for the price I paid (21€ per night in December)  Would recommend 100%"

Pebbles Resort ★★★★
"Pebbles Resort has a lot of positives but also some areas for improvement. Location: The location is excellent. It’s situated near a bus stop where you can catch buses to almost every route in Malta. Buses are frequent and cost only €2 for a two-hour ride. The square is a short six-minute walk, offering plenty of food options. Beaches are just a quick bus ride away, and ferries are also easily accessible. Hotel Facilities: The hotel has two pools: an outdoor one and a warm indoor pool. The indoor pool is very comfortable, but the hot tub was disappointing—colder than the pool and with jets that only work for 30 seconds at a time, requiring constant button-pressing. The towels provided for pool use are old and could use an upgrade. The gym is small and often busy, so timing is key if you want to work out. Food: The food was surprisingly fresh and delicious. Unlike many hotel buffets, the staff at Pebbles Resort rotates trays frequently, ensuring the food is both fresh and appealing. However, the buffet and à la carte menus are separate, which was disappointing. I couldn’t try items like cheesecake or creamed chicken from the buffet during à la carte dining. Rooms: The room itself was nice, with some standout features like the television built into the mirror. The balcony was a good size, but my stay was marred by a neighbor plucking cigarette ashes over their balcony instead of using the ashtray provided. Additionally, the refrigerator never got cold, which was inconvenient as there are no ice buckets in the rooms, forcing me to go to the bar for ice. Service: Service left a lot to be desired. When we arrived, our room wasn’t ready. Despite being the only ones waiting, the staff couldn’t expedite the process, leaving my daughter to fall asleep on the lobby couch—a completely embarrassing experience. The hotel also lacks luggage carts and staff to assist with heavy luggage, which is especially frustrating when traveling with kids and a lot of bags. Conclusion: While Pebbles Resort offers a fantastic location, good food, and decent facilities, it falls short in service and attention to detail. Small improvements, like better towels, functional hot tubs, luggage assistance, and quicker room readiness, could elevate the experience significantly. Rating: 3.5/5"

"Not happy about the fact you have to pay for aircon. We went here for cheap accommodation so we didn’t pay for aircon. It’s a rip off! However because we didn’t it meant the whole stay was uncomfortable. We got no sleep due to the heat of the room, even with the balcony door open there was no air!"

"The room was a good size for just myself would also work well for 2 people. The bathroom was small but again worked well, only down side was the sink was tiny. It had a fridge, tv and kettle which i was very happy about. Also a lift which was great for luggage. All staff were very friendly and helpful. There is an upstairs terrace with pool which was amazing to chill out. The location was great there was plenty of food and shops around and a short walk to the sea. Will definitely return."
