Hotels near Qawra Point Beach in Bugibba

Well, what a great hotel. We arrived on the opening day after a name change from the last hotel name (same owners, different name) We was meant to go to Las Vegas but it didn't happen so we went to Malta. The Hotel was stll being refurbished but a lot of the rooms was open, We was given room 3124 a gorgeous room, with a really nice view. We was shown to our room by Vikky (Viktoria, the Guest Relations Manager) after being checked in by Natalia (i think) We also got a bottle of wine for our long awaited honeymoon as our honeymooon kept being cancelled including the Las Vegas one. As Hilton Diamond members we get breakfast included in our room rate, Breakfast is an expansive affair with far too much to choose from, i went for Salad, i know, crazy right. but topped it off with a nice omelette. The outdoor pool is small but very good, the indoor pool much larger but far too hot for us. Service is great and fast, they was always out taking orders and bringing drinks quickly so you could enjoy more outdoor time. After a few days of being there we asked if we could upgrade to All Inclusive which turned out to be very good, we'd done everything we wanted to do in St Paul's bay so wanted to hang in or near the hotel. All the food is delicious and drinks, although confusing of what was allowed for AI customers, i made the suggestion of having a drinks menu of what drinks ARE allowed as we got a lot of you 'can't have that' A few members of staff made our stay really fantastic and always took the time to say hi and have a great conversation. These include Vikki (GRM) Lorenzo (bar supervisor) Jason in the same bar, always happy, always friendly and Desislav Juniper bar and other staff that we just didn't get their names. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the main Square with a vast amount of shops, bars and restaurants. This used to be the old Dolmen Hotel and they have retained a lot of their staff, it's been nice seeing them adapt to a new system which can be challenging but they will get there in time. At the time of writing this review, there still are building works going on but getting less and less as its all getting finished. Having stayed in several hotels in the area (Dolmen, Seaview, Topaz), I decided to go for the closest to the action for my latest trip. I believe the Primera Hotel has been undergoing upgrades since COVID. The results of these are visible in some areas and in others there is work to be done. All the staff were superb. Friendly, helpful and welcoming. I didn't catch many names, but Njelli??Nellie?? on reception, Clayton night reception, were great. Housekeeping were also polite and very friendly. The room, on the second floor, was quite large and comfortable. The furniture (wardrobes, drawers, bedside cabinets and fridge all looked brand new. The bed was two fairly basic metal frames with relatively poor mattresses, which had very stiff edges so there was no chance of a spread across the two singles to treat as a double bed. The bathroom was again a good size and was clean with what looked like fairly new tiling. The only downside of the bathroom was the ridiculous shower cubicle with doors that don't roll on the runners but must be almost picked up and put into place when showering. The roof terrace again looks as though it has been recently renovated and was a really surprising treat. Wonderfully clean and tidy. Plenty of loungers and a pool that is big enough to have a cooling dip when the sun gets a little hot. A TV plays tranquil music and WC/changing facilities were a nice touch. I would guess there is enough space for a small bar or a pool table up there if the owners were so inclined. I watched the Saturday of the Malta airshow display with a great view over St. Pauls bay. Such a shame that the Sunday was canceled due to the high winds. The location can not be beaten. So many bars and restaurants are within a few minutes (in some cases seconds) walk. Less than a hundred yards to the promenade beach and swimming. All in all I wouldn't hesitate to recommend, on the understanding that The Primera is not perfect but I believe they are working to get there. I for one will be back. Many thanks

On arrival we were welcomed in by a cheerful member of staff who booked us in & showed us to our spacious room on the 5th floor. The next day we had breakfast in the lovely restaurant which set us up for the day in a nice relaxed atmosphere. All the staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. We would definitely stop there again.

The hotel is very clean, very hot outdoor swimming pool. The buffet is very repetitive and not terrible. It is better to eat at the map or outside. The hapy hours is not valid for the buffet. Incredible anyway. Otherwise excellent quality price and cheap drinks.

This is the second time I have stayed at this very special boutique hotel. The hotel is run extremely well with the staff being friendly and efficient, the food was absolutely delicious and our bed was extremely comfortable with beautifully soft pillows. My one criticism is that there were far too many people visiting the hotel who were not residents. On the Saturday and Sunday it was impossible to get a sun bed around the swimming pool and the guests were extremely noisy. One woman who brought a group of friends had won a day at the hotel. For two hours the group conducted a very loud three way conversation in the pool shouting at the top of their voices and had no respect for the hotel residents at all. This sort of behaviour in a small boutique hotel is unacceptable and not what we expected. Sadly due to the above we probably won’t be coming back. I thought I had found a quiet little gem in the middle of Malta, but it has become so noisy and crowded that it spoilt our weekend.

It was my first trip to Malta, so I had to go to major tourist spots, so the location was a bit far, but it was convenient for access to Comino Island and sandy sea. First of all, the kindness of the cleaners was very satisfying. Also, the concierge quickly solved the room corrections and was able to stay comfortable afterwards. Especially the double bed and the extra bed are spacious and comfortable unlike the usual sofabe, so I recommend it to more than three travelers. The balcony has a facility to hang the laundry, so you can dry your swimsuit easily.

It was so good that I thought it was a pity that I only stayed for one night. The Mediterranean restaurant located inside the resort was not very tasty, but the breakfast was very good. It was an English breakfast buffet (sausage, bacon, eggs, etc.), and there was also a little Turkish breakfast menu (ham, cheese, tomato, cucumber). The staff were friendly and the amenities were good~ It's nice to see nearby Bujiba.

We’ve enjoyed the weekend at Urban Valley. We visited with our small dog. Upon arrival they made us feel welcome! Dream, our dog had his own bed, a bucket full of goodies also for him to enjoy! The manager, Adrian is very kind and professional in his work. We enjoyed the afternoon tea at bar area close to the reception, and we were served by Peter, another hotel gem! Pro The location is super. Bus stop just a few meters away, also testarants and ports with many offers for boat tours.. Nightlife walking accessible. Bus station nearby with extensive range offer. Supermarket, minimarkets and other shops. Equipment, and comfort: The beds - mattresses, kiss, ceilings - are very comfortable.. Air conditioning works well and quiet, noise-smooth doors, darkness hangs, coffee and tea preparation, small refrigerator, smart TV, not bright. The view of the pool on the roof is very beautiful. Breakfast is extensive and certainly something for every taste. There are other restaurants in the house to which I can't say anything. The saunas and the indoor pool are a nice extra. The fitness room is large and equipped with many modern devices. Spa offers are available. All rooms have a balcony. Neighbors have not heard, rooms seem not bright. We experienced the service staff very friendly and helpful. Sustainability: There is only 1 towel per person (which can always be exchanged, instead of countless for the roof pool There are no contrasts, only small things. Matraces for large people could be a little longer. The double bed is single beds moved together. Accordingly, with visitor ridges. Sustainability: in the room the small individual packs for coffee, at breakfast the small individual packs for butter, the towels for the roof terrace could be longer. What was really very bad was the noise scenes on the balcony, which was therefore not really useful. Noise came from electrical aggregate or a mega-air conditioning from the house. The view of the side room had side sea view, but also a view of the neighborhood (3rd floor) that reminded a building site. Therefore the offer price for the double room with breakfast of €72 was also justified.

The hotel is a privileged location just a few steps from the sea and near the Bugibba Centre where many restaurants and shops are located - The hotel is a remarkable welcome and the staff of great kindness agree to stay The rooms are large, comfortable, well-equipped and very clean, as well as the restaurant room which includes local specialities - Full breakfast, servi a 07H45 - For dives who have to join the diving-Malta Club 100m before the hour, the boss can prepare a cash, just ask him - extremely attaching staff and a exemplary living knowledge - I feel right now in this Establishment - Remarkable
