GGuest UserJust fantastic. Hermanus is a beautiful little place anyhow but with a stay at “On the Cliff” the trip was topped off perfectly. I’ve never had such an extensive breakfast in all of my travels which really kick started my day. Thank you.

The staff made us feel so welcome. They are exceptionally polite and well informed on the surrounding area. We were provided with a map full of helpful suggestions, and a thorough introduction to the lodge and all it's facilities upon check-in.
The lodge is located right next to Hermanus New Harbour and a few steps from the cliff path, which is well worth the walk.
The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. It opens onto a beautiful, well maintained garden area but a few steps from the pool.
Breakfast was fantastic (reccommend the Full English!), and a lovely selection of breads, cereals, fruits, cold meats, yogurts etc at the buffet.
Truly, no complaints. Would absolutely stay again.

GGuest UserThe hotel is 10 minutes walk from the city center. The hostess helped book a tour to the whales. Sleep cold, but there are warm blankets and electric blankets. The room has a microwave, teapot, refrigerator. Very delicious breakfast, thank you for this separately. We forgot our things in the hotel and the hotel immediately emailed us. The town is safe and we first walked in 2 weeks night.

GGuest UserI liked Baleia. Friendly staff and check-in, even when we were a bit late. Rooms were big and had everything needed. Location and breakfast were good. The only downside is that they seem to have run out of hot water due to a big group staying there. Considering the price, not having hot water was not great, imo. Hopefully this won’t be an issue for other guests in the future.
