GGuest UserAlthough the location is a little inaccessible, that’s how the beautiful view of train coming out from tunnel can be seen. And the inaccessible location is overly compensated by the service, there is TukTuk to fetch you from Ella Town or Ella station when you arrive. During your stay, they fetched us back from Ella town after dinner around 9pm to the accommodation for the convenience. Also upon check out, they sent us back to Ella station. So, you can to enjoy the view in absolute nature without compromising the convenience. Absolutely love the place. Just walking distance to 9 Arch.

QQiongqiongGood for value. The location is very good, it’s at end of the town, convenient to go hiking and the restaurants. It’s quiet at night. The room is very clean. The owner is friendly. He gave us a pot of tea to welcome us when we arrive. Also he provided us the bus schedule information and advices for the time in Ella.
It will better if there is a kettle so we can try Ceylon tea we bought.

SSwatiKWe had 2 nights in Hotel Onrock. It's a nice hotel and the staff go out of their way to make you comfortable. The breakfast was good. The only thing is that the hotel is located quite high up, and the walk-up is very steep. Other than that, all was good.

GGuest UserThis hotel is beautiful and modern. Location is great, easy to get to restaurants and shops outside of the hotel.
Staff have been very attentive and helpful. They clean the rooms promptly. The laundry service is great. The staff even ran to help us push the car up the hill when it was stuck.
Room service food has been very good too, their devilled chicken and pizza were the best.
Highly recommend staying with Te Dalu if you are visiting Ella.

LLisa_AThis is the fifth hotel we have settled in Sri Lanka and, frankly, the best. A nice smell of fresh tree, clean, pleasant rooms, high ceilings and good air conditioning. And the main thing is blankets, not all hotels have blankets.
We were met very welcoming, treated with coconuts.
The only minus in this hotel is the hearing of neighbors. Very thin walls and at night are particularly uncomfortable, especially if neighbors lie late to sleep.
The breakfast was very delicious and we were offered to try a delicious traditional breakfast from acute coconut straw with vegetables - very delicious.
And here is a good coffee and very delicious ginger tea.
I will definitely return to this hotel, it turned out to be a great addition to our visit to Ella.

GGuest UserThe hotel is on the hillside, with a good mountain view, the room bathroom is super large, the only room that is not damp in the 20 days of living in Sri Lanka, if there is air conditioning, it will be perfect.
 It is more than 20 minutes' drive from Ella Town.  Ella is mostly sloped . It is basically a curved path to various hotels and homestays. It is very suitable for  people who want to be quarantined for a few days to live for a few days. I especially want to praise their service team. A few simple warm and friendly local boys, they really want to be good to every guest staying, thank you for the delicious breakfast.

AAntonChThe staff were friendly, and breakfast on the rooftop with a green view was an absolute delight. The breakfast itself was delicious, with fresh juice and fruits. The room was standard and clean enough; we could hear street noise, but that's common in many city hotels we've stayed in. The WiFi was a bit weak. I accidentally booked the wrong date on a non-refundable rate, but they kindly changed the dates for us. I would definitely stay here for another night. Thank you!

TtorinessKeeping in mind this is a 3 star hotel, the positives are the rooms are big with a balcony looking out at amazing views (ours anyway), and the pool is clean and quite big also with amazing views and a concrete elephant water feature!!! The location of the hotel is pretty good too - far enough from other properties to be quiet but close enough to Ella main drag that you can walk in 10-15 minutes or pay a tuk tuk driver double the rate of Colombo to get to and from. The big negative for us was that despite being told upon checking in that the room would be cleaned every day, it was not. And I was told the reason why was that we didn’t hand in our key for it to be done - which seems bizarre after staying in hotels for decades and not being told to or having to hand in a key in order to get a standard daily room clean. The insinuation that it was our fault for not handing in a key (not that we were told to do so on checking in) was extremely irritating. Food was ok but overpriced so we ate elsewhere (lots of options). There were lots of little things in the rooms that could be easily addressed to make them nicer - definitely not having ripped old bath towels, and removing an empty TV bracket from the wall (like a TV used to be there but not anymore - or was it just our room, who knows). All these little things add up to I really think the room rate is too high - but we are here in the high season so maybe that’s just the going rate.

GGinbuHowwanThis was the most perfect hotel I stayed in during my trip to Sri Lanka; it definitely deserves a five-star rating.
We booked an executive villa. Downstairs was a large bed, and upstairs were two slightly smaller mattresses. The electric curtains opened onto a nearly panoramic glass balcony with views of the tea plantations, the Three Arch Bridge, and passing trains.
The mini-bar was complimentary, with dozens of tea bags and four free glass bottles of water. Alcohol and other drinks were chargeable.
The swimming pool was beautiful and photogenic, like an infinity pool.
Definitely choose the option that includes dinner. Dinner was a five-course à la carte meal, very delicious and unique, but drinks were not included. Breakfast also included a very special crispy egg bun. The path to the restaurant offered many beautiful photo opportunities.
The only downside was the abundance of mosquitoes. The only two bites I got during the entire trip were from mosquito bites I received while sleeping here at night.
