Staff service is very good, very professional.
Ski rentals are available at the hotel, which is cheaper than ski resorts and other ski resorts.
Ski tickets at the hotel are also available at discounts.
There is also a special car transfer, when you see everyone waiting for the bus in a long queue, your special car is already waiting for you at the door, when it snows, feel warm.
It is only a 5-minute walk to Yuehou Tangyu Station and 7-11.

Very clean homestay inside and outside
The boss is very nice and kind
The breakfast prepared is a traditional Japanese breakfast, which feels very delicate and delicious.
The location is opposite the bus stop sign. It is very convenient.
You can also walk from the place where you are soaking. It is recommended to have the opportunity to stay again.

A truly enjoyable stay with beautiful views and a wonderful atmosphere
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The view from the room was amazing, and the Japanese-style room added a special touch that made the experience feel authentic and relaxing. I also loved the library and the overall cultural atmosphere of the hotel -- it created a calm and inspiring environment.
The movie experience offered by the hotel was a great addition and made the stay even more memorable. Breakfast was also excellent: very nice, beautifully presented, and delicious.
Overall, it was delightful stay, and I would love to come back again.

The hotel's location is excellent. You can see the Yuzawa Grand Hotel nestled on the mountainside right from the west exit of Echigo-Yuzawa Station. It's about a 5-minute walk, though the large, steep slope at the hotel entrance requires careful walking, especially after a snowfall in Echigo-Yuzawa and when pushing luggage, to avoid slipping.
We booked a Japanese/Western-style room, and the hotel gave us a room on the 7th floor of the South Wing, directly facing the station. The views were absolutely superb, especially the distant mountains after a snowfall – truly the 'Snow Country' I'd imagined. The room had two beds, and a futon was set up in the Japanese-style area, making it perfect for families with two children on a ski trip.
There are two onsen (hot springs) on the hotel's first floor, and the open-air bath is particularly memorable, especially when you catch a heavy snow while soaking outdoors. An unforgettable experience!
The hotel exudes the charm of an established onsen hotel, with attentive and meticulous service. Yukata and towels are changed daily. Although the facilities show their age, they are still perfectly functional, especially the in-room mini-bar/sink area, which was convenient for eating bentos in the room after skiing each day. Oh, we didn't book breakfast or dinner; we got all our meals from the convenience store inside the station and nearby restaurants.
The hotel's excellent service was also evident in many small details, such as the free rain boots at the entrance and the weather forecasts for various ski resorts. I particularly recommend the ski rental shop right outside the hotel; they have a great attitude, reasonable prices, and the ski gear and helmets are all very new.
In summary, it was a very satisfying stay in every aspect. If I come back to Echigo-Yuzawa during the ski season, I will definitely stay here again!

The owners were extremely accommodating. Their stated transport service from the homestay to the ski resort was 8am - 10am and 4pm - 5pm but because it was not very busy, the owners offered to drive us at 11am. They also sold tickets that were discounted and brought us to rent ski equipment for about half price of the hotel’s. The room is also spacious but modest. The owners speak mandarin as well so it was nice to have someone translate for us at the rental shop. This is a very good budget friendly option.

1. If you need to book a shuttle, after exiting the station gate, turn right and you should see a tourist service center. It looks like a ski gear and coffee shop from the outside, so you'll need to go further inside to find the counter. Then you can tell the counter staff that you want to book a shuttle to this hotel. If you really can't find the tourist center, you can also call the hotel directly. Then, go to the East Exit and look for pillar number 9. The shuttle, with 'denkiya' written on it, should arrive in about 15 minutes.
2. Once you arrive at the accommodation, if your itinerary requires booking a shuttle, the staff (the 'auntie') will usually tell you to book later in the day, not too far in advance, regardless of whether you want to book for the evening or the next day. This is probably because many people book too early and then forget the time, ultimately missing the shuttle. So, if you don't speak Japanese and they don't let you book right away, it usually means they prefer you to book closer to the actual time.
3. In the public bath, you must take off your clothes before entering; do not wear a towel. Grab a small stool, wash yourself while sitting down. After you're clean, wash the stool thoroughly, rinse it, and return it to its original spot before getting into the bath. This is because if you stand to shower, you might spray water into the bath or onto other people, so always sit down to wash.
4. After skiing, you can just take your ski equipment directly down to the first floor and leave it there. If you rented it here, you can properly return it to the staff (the 'old man') after you've finished skiing for the day. If you return it immediately, he might ask 'finished?' because he'll assume you're done skiing for the day. So, if you plan to continue skiing, just leave it on the nearby rack. For other rented items like helmets and shoes, take them to the drying room.
5. I personally highly recommend their breakfast; it's quite delicious and not too expensive, definitely worth trying.
6. The costs for breakfast and ski equipment rental are settled all at once when you check out. Only the ski pass requires immediate cash payment.

Such a cozy place! Free laundry and hot drinks were much appreciated. There is a fireplace in the common area and a storage room for ski/snowboard equipment. I topped up for the meal plan and the food was great, but the cooking amenities are sufficient for those who wish to bring ingredients and cook their own food.
Only thing was that the mattress was a little thin, but I only stayed 2 nights so it wasn't really a big issue to me.

The guesthouse's location is incredibly convenient. In the mornings, you can enjoy a stroll in the nearby Takizawa Park and see the dam and waterfall. The guesthouse staff are very friendly, and the Japanese breakfast is fresh and delicious, offering slight variations each day, which truly shows their dedication to providing a great experience. Guests can also access the hot springs 24/7 for their convenience.

The Japanese-style house also has a small living room, which has no curtains and no elevator. It's okay since it's on the second floor, especially since I had a small suitcase. There's also a hot spring bath; you can't shower inside the room, you can only use the hot spring. But that's just right. It's nice to force myself to soak in the hot spring every day. The hotel is 500 meters away, and there's a small waterfall that looks like a reservoir. The park is beautifully landscaped. I really hope to stay here again.

The room is spacious but ordinary. The room heater is old and traditional that made the room very dry and uneven temperature in different parts of the room. The water heater is not stable and sometimes it will shut down. The bed and pillow is uncomfortable. The hotel just beside the main road of village and our room windows are facing to the road, thus it is quite noise in the morning especially when it is raining or snowing. To be concluded, the room made us uncomfortable. Not recommended.
