Benjaminsim87Omori has a rich history as a Ryokan. The interior is homely and vintage! Like it’s frozen in time in the 1980s. The lounge has a panoramic view of Mount Akagi and several other mountain ranges. you can sip sake or wine from paid dispensers while you find your zen. The Level 8 outdoor bath is awesome and spacious. Views are awesome and the air is refreshing. Omori is right next to the Ikaho bus station as well as the Ikaho Ropeway. Just a 5mins walk to the stone steps as well. Even though the nearest Kombini (Famimart) is a 15 minute walk away, they have their own minimart. Breakfast was well crafted with hand-picked local Gunma produce. Awesome!!!

Anonymous UserThe rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the area is close to a hot spring shopping street.
The public hot spring bath was also extremely clean and spacious.
Free parking is available, which is great for travelers with cars!

Kinchoro is the more exclusive wing of Fuikuichi. The rooms come sight private onsen and it’s similar to most 10 tatami rooms.
The service from the staff is good. They are almost invisible when you don’t need them but will magically appear when you need help, during meal times and check in/out time.
The food unfortunately seem to be so so only. I didn’t find it spectacular, and in fact fringing on being a bit too inventive. Otherwise, all okay.

Location of the Ryokan is excellent and very convenient. Service is fantastic from valet parking, front desk to in room dining. However, the property is very old and the dated. As the walls are thin, noisy neighbours made it difficult to sleep.

The service is very good, we booked a Japanese-style suite, the room is very beautiful, the scenery outside the window is very good, but the toilet is very smelly! ! ! ! It will stink to the room, this is very bad, the only big drawback! ! Breakfast is generally the same, dinner is OK, no work. The toilet in the room is really stinky, I won't go again next time 😭

abolishsThe correct name of the hotel is Matsumoto Tower. The service of a family-run Japanese-style hotel must be impeccable. Each room has a dedicated receptionist. We are not good at Japanese, so we arranged an Indian waiter who understands some English (it seems Family-run Japanese-style hotels are gradually becoming international). The tatami room arranged for us is super large. There are two main halls and three toilets of 70 or 80 square meters. There is no problem for eight people; one night and two meals are exquisite. Dinner is kaiseki cuisine, breakfast is Japanese buffet; there are open-air natural hot springs (iron brown hot springs) on the 8th and 2nd floors of the roof. The bubbles before and after meals are very comfortable. The hotel has a free bus to Ikaho Hot Spring Ishidan Street (Matsumoto The lady enthusiastically recommended us to ride, and his English is good); in short, a very good experience.

The room felt a little outdated, but it wasn't a problem especially for the stay.
You can barely hear footsteps from other rooms or voices from the hallway.
However, the staff were very nice, and I liked the variety of rice buffets.
The staff at Viking were also very nice and easy to ask questions to.
There are many kinds of buffet from breakfast, and some hotels pretend to have many kinds and have the same thing in several places, but here it was all different kinds.
There was also a corner where you could make seafood bowls.
I felt like I was able to get excited from the morning.
It was a hotel that I would like to visit again.
Another thing that was really nice for me was that they had an extension cord in the room.
I think most hotels don't have a place to charge your phone, so sometimes it's a bit far away to charge your phone, or you can't reach the alarm clock next to you when you go to sleep, but they provided an extension cord so I didn't have to worry about that. .
It took less than 10 minutes to walk to the stone steps.

SHUThe room is big, the living is very comfortable and the service is good. There is a certain distance from the scenic area. The main reason is that the entrance to the gate is uphill, so it is a bit troublesome. Take the bus and get off at the stop in front of Shiduan Street in Ikaho Hot Springs.
