I have relatives nearby, so I stayed overnight in Fukuyama City, which was a good starting point for Onomichi - Shimanami - Imabari - Takamatsu Castle. I don't have any photos of Fukuyama, so I'll post a photo of Takamatsu Castle."

Stopped for a night here during our roadtrip and we wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel is a traditional ryokan and the lobby is nicely decorated with some really old furniture.
Breakfast is delicious with local fish and ingredients, I wish we had order dinner the night before.

Guest UserIt was cold, so I went to sleep with the air conditioner on, but it seems that if you ask for a blanket, they will lend one to you free of charge.
There were no problems or issues.

この宿泊施設が、どのような運営になっているのか説明してくださり、町の人たちで運営されていることを知って、とても親しみが湧きました。
食事はついていませんでしたが、元日でも対応されている近くのカフェを予約してくださり、イタリアンのコースをいただくことができました。
古民家をリノベーションした宿泊場所は、ワンフロアを広く贅沢に使うことができて、とても居心地がよかったです。
時間があるときに、町全体の雰囲気をゆっくり味わいに、また来たいなと思いました。

The location is great, not far from Fukuyama Station. The front desk staff were very attentive. The rooms were spacious, and you could even choose your own pillow. There was a large public bath available. The breakfast was simple yet delicious and filling. Overall, it was fantastic! I would definitely book this hotel again next time~~~ I highly recommend it!!!

It wasn't a big facility, but it was a very good inn with a view of the sea in front of me. The food was delicious and I was able to relax by serving it in a private room. The hot spring was warm for a while, probably because of the quality of the hot spring that warms my body. The view from the open-air bath is the best. I would like to use it again if I have a good location to stroll around the city. The staff 々 was also nice.
The structure in the inn was a bit complicated and I was lost to return to the room several times 😂

Easy walking to the hotel from Fukuyama station. The Castle near the station can be easily accessed by walking ( not too tough for me who has a knee issue). I could see Toyoko Inn at the top of the Castle ground.Also the cathedral.

Guest UserThe breakfast was delicious. When I stay at a business hotel, I prioritize a hotel with a large public bath and sauna.
At Candeo Fukuyama, the sauna was good, but the water temperature in the cold bath was high, estimated at 25 degrees Celsius, and it was disappointing as it wasn't very refreshing. I wish it was at least kept below 20 degrees Celsius. I hope they improve this.

Guest UserThere is a convenience store about 5 minutes walk away, and shopping facilities and restaurants about 10 minutes walk away, so I think you will be able to spend there without any problems. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis, but there are free areas, and since I only use the shower when I'm working, the plan without a shower in the room was not a problem. The facilities are old, but considering the price, I guess it's acceptable. Thank you for your help.

Very good, it is an adult hotel, free breakfast. Parking is available downstairs. However, it is an adult hotel. After entering, there is a vending machine-like thing to pay for, and no one can contact the accommodation throughout the whole process. Need breakfast to call
