GGuest UserBefore going to Venice, I agonized for a while over where to stay – the island was just too expensive. On the drive from the Dolomites to Venice, I suddenly stumbled upon this Crowne Plaza online, and it was perfect for a self-drive trip! Commuting to Venice every day wasn't far at all. The accommodations were excellent, exactly what you'd expect from an established chain. The breakfast was also fantastic, especially the cakes and pastries. Plus, just a few kilometers away, there was a local family restaurant serving authentic beef in vinegar sauce.

XXChenI stayed in a single room for one night in December 2024. Google Maps showed it was about a 7-10 minute walk from my location. A very friendly front desk attendant assisted me with check-in.
It's evident the hotel has been established for many years, but it has admirably kept up with the times, with noticeable upgrades to its hardware and facilities. The bathroom's patterned tiles were a unique touch, and even the ceramic soap dish and toilet paper holder highlighted an unexpected level of sophistication.
A key point for light sleepers to note is the hotel's proximity to a railway line; guests should gauge their own sensitivity to noise.
I opted for the breakfast, which was €8 per person. As there are few dining options nearby, I highly recommend pre-booking it. The buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of options.

GGuest UserReally enjoyed my stay at Hotel Donatello. The staff were very kind and accommodating, I arrived early and they arranged for my luggage to be stored and delivered to my room. Room was very clean and the bed was comfortable

GGuest UserThe hotel was spotless , friendly staff , breakfast was ok but the eggs & bacon were cold or Luke warm every morning - we were very disappointed with the spa been under renovation for the first 2 days which was not communicated to us prior to the stay , if we were aware of this fact we would have cancelled the stay as the reason we picked this hotel was to enjoy the spa facilities on offer - wouldn’t rebook this hotel !

GGuest UserThe room is spacious and the continental breakfast is quite rich. Convenient location, next to the train station, walk to the center of the old city for ten minutes. The entrance train station is also a lot of bus stops, you can take to the far St. Anthony Church, River Valley Square, and then walk back, about 30 or 40 minutes.

GGuest UserAlthough it is located in the old city, it is convenient to visit the old city attractions. It is old-fashioned, but it has fallen into decline. The room price is a bit expensive, but it can't keep up with the pace of the times. The attitude is not concave, and it inadvertently reveals arrogance and indifference. I didn't pay attention to booking a triple room, and was arranged at the end of the corridor, which is similar to a youth hostel. The network is not covered... Fortunately, it was only a night on the way, and I checked out early the next morning.
