This hotel is like a glitch in the Matrix when compared to other accommodations in the Bromo area. The interior design leans into a charming retro aesthetic rather than feeling genuinely old, and all the hardware is very well maintained. From the suite balcony, you can enjoy stunning sunset views with the volcano's silhouette. The garden design is also fantastic, evoking an 'Alice in Wonderland' dreaminess – I highly recommend taking a stroll through it. Service is good too. The only downside was the breakfast quality; it was rather ordinary, with limited choices and not particularly refined. Both the local dishes (though honestly, Indonesian food isn't known for its gourmet quality) and the baked goods were quite average. I suggest they could really improve their Western baked goods selection.

During my stay in June 2026, the hotel is about 80% completed. Please understand that the hotel is doing their best to provide a comfortable experience. Most of the facilities are up and running and I am pleasant with the maintenance of the place. Kak Widya helped me a lot during my stay. Where ad-hoc transport is required, you may wish to speak to the hotel staff to arrange for the alternative Ojek ride services. It costs IDR 50,000/way (cash and exact change only) and it is your only mode of transport around the mountains. Avoid bringing in multiples of IDR 100,000 as there are no money changing services available.

The facilities are Home Inn-level, but its advantage lies in its proximity to Bromo, saving you the hassle of traveling back and forth to Surabaya. The service is excellent; breakfast is served until 11 am, and they even call the room to remind you when it's almost closing time. They can also help you book a Bromo sunrise tour by private car for 800,000 Indonesian Rupiah. The service is great, and the Jeep even has a name tag. There's a 24-hour front desk. Ctrip says there's no one at the front desk after 11 pm, but don't worry, they'll wait once you've booked.

Since the volcano trip was a last-minute decision, I searched for hotels on Ctrip based on their high ratings. This one had a high score, so I chose it. Without further ado, here's my review: Facilities: You guys are really tight-lipped! The sheets and blankets were damp and not dry at all, but nobody complained. It was hard to sleep well at night, and I was prone to catching a cold. Being in the mountains, there was no air conditioning, and hot water was unavailable. Cleanliness: Cleanliness was acceptable. I didn't see many mosquitoes all night, but the twin room was a bit small. Environment: Many places were rusty, indicating poor management. The atmosphere was a bit eerie at night. The swimming pool was unusable due to moss growth. It was a mosquito paradise. The restaurant was average; the beef burger buns smelled stale, so I wouldn't recommend it. Service: The only area I can highly recommend. The service was good. They offered to pack breakfast for those who needed to get up early to watch the sunrise. They have a private car service from the airport, but it costs 900,000 Indonesian Rupiah. I recommend contacting the front desk via WhatsApp beforehand to check if they have a car available. The driver was quite professional. In summary, if you're very particular about accommodation quality, NO! Definitely don't choose this one. If you're a special forces tourist, just looking for sunrise and don't want to worry about much, then it's an option, because it's really hassle-free. I think there are other good hotels to choose from in this town; this one is a bit pricey.

The room was very spacious, which is becoming quite rare these days. The hotel also has a large garden with lots of greenery, making it peaceful and relaxing. The fresh mountain air was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The property feels like an older hotel that is gradually being renovated. We booked three rooms, and while room 220 looked much better maintained, room 230 (the mountain view room at the end of the building) had visible mold on parts of the ceiling. The staff were kind enough to offer us another room, which we appreciated. However, mold is something that really needs attention, as it can affect guests with allergies or respiratory sensitivities. Another area for improvement is the towels and bath mats, which looked quite worn and should be replaced for better hygiene. Overall, the hotel has great potential with its spacious rooms, peaceful atmosphere, and beautiful garden. With better maintenance, especially addressing the mold issue and replacing old linens, it could become an even more enjoyable place to stay.

It is not like before when I stayed the first time in this place. They offer a lot of fun activities like buggy car rides, enjoying gelato, and swimming. But this time no more buggy car, no more gelato. The swimming pool is still okay, but due to the rainy season, we stay away from doing it. Not many activities we can do. I stroll along in the morning. The security was approaching us, not allowing us to walk on the pathway. They told us that the golfers will start to use that area. So what the hell am I doing here in the resort? What makes our stay inconvenient is mosquitoes in my room.
