The owner was very friendly and welcoming, recommending many local delicacies. The price of the Mount Bromo tour we booked at the front desk was significantly cheaper than with other travel agencies, and the service was reliable and smooth.
The hostel is perfectly located in the heart of the city, making it convenient for everything. Most restaurants, convenience stores, and shopping districts are within walking distance. The local night market is right outside, bustling with activity at night, making it easy to find food and drinks, without having to worry about getting around or finding food.
The rooms were clean and meticulously maintained, with beds changed after each guest. They also provided towels, a locker, and a lock, ensuring a secure stay. The shared bathrooms were also clean, with shampoo and shower gel provided, and hairdryers available for free at the front desk. The attention to detail was truly thoughtful. A simple breakfast of bread, bananas, and hot tea/coffee was provided in the morning, perfect for replenishing energy.
Overall, this is a great value hostel with a prime location, attentive service, and a friendly atmosphere, perfect for backpackers and travelers who enjoy immersing themselves in local life.

AAnonymous UserNot a very good experience as we clearly said that we wanted a non-smoking room but got placed in a room on the smoking floor. They said they don't have any other available room and can only move us to another room tomorrow (we stayed for 2N). We ended up staying for a night in the room and all our hair and clothes had a residual smell of smoke. The worst part is the only way they could ”compensate” us is by spraying a very strong smell of artificial coffee room spray that ended up making us felt worse with all the strong smells and chemical stuff combined.

GGuest UserThe hotel is old but in a good way, means all the hoteliers are well trained & friendly, very reliable too. The location is very strategic, not too far from the main part of the city, but not too close that you get cramped up every time you leave the hotel. It's on the main road, not difficult for online taxis to reach. Parking's not huge, but enough for the guests (in my opinion, the parking's way better than any other hotels i've seen down the road).
The hotel room is old but clean, in my opinion. The bathrooms are clean & spacious. Although some of the furnitures shows its age & the locks are worn out, all the areas are super clean.
One thing that is most memorable is the body wash! Love the body wash, so fragrant!
If you're looking for a getaway & simply for rest, this is a hotel for you. This hotel might not provide cable/netflix, (there's still wifi dont worry) or facilities like the gym, BUT this hotel works for me who's looking to rest and relax.
This hotel feels like a trip down memory lane, just like malang. Very nostalgic in the best way possible

GGuest UserI stayed here for 4 nights. For a budget hotel with affordable prices in the center of Malang, this place can be recommended. The staff service was friendly (especially Mr. Alfon as the Hotel Manager, Dyan and the night receptionist, as well as the female staff at the restaurant whose name I forgot).
The location is strategic, close to Alun-Alun, KFC, McDonald’s, and the Kayutangan area.
The room was quite clean and comfortable — I recommend choosing the deluxe type at the front section.

NNancy YousThe guest house is new, clean and all the rooms smell good. It's very good in the room but the minus is the place on the roadside and it's difficult to park the car. The room is not so sound that cars, drones and ambulance sounds very loud in my room 308.kamar Next to my noise is like moving a mattress Because it is struck with the wall of my room. And was disturbed again when in the morning around 06.30 around Pesona Guest House there is such a loud dangdutan music. So in conclusion, the room and facilities are very good but the noise outside makes me unable to sleep .. and thank you for sending BF Maryam bread and hot tea. Maybe in the future, it can be given a kind of silence so that guests who want to rest after a day can rest without noise outside. Thank you for the charming guest house 🙏

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is located next to the main road in the city center, which is very convenient to find. It is about one kilometer away from the train station. There are many restaurants on the road above the train station.
The hotel room is standard and big enough with a bathtub, but it's too old and poorly maintained. It looks a bit dirty and needs to be renovated.
