"I recently had to cancel my reservation at The Fairhaven Hotel due to an unexpected illness, and unfortunately, my experience with their customer service has left much to be desired. Despite reaching out promptly to explain my situation and request a refund, I was met with a firm refusal. The hotel’s cancellation policy was not flexible enough to accommodate my circumstances, which was quite disappointing. I understand that policies are in place for a reason, but a little compassion in times of need would have gone a long way. The hotel itself may have great amenities and a lovely atmosphere, but my experience with their handling of cancellations has overshadowed any positive aspects. I would advise potential guests to carefully consider the cancellation policy before booking, especially if there’s a chance that plans may change unexpectedly. Overall, while I cannot speak to the quality of the stay, my interaction with the hotel regarding my cancellation has left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. I hope they can improve their customer service approach in the future."

"Very good stay experience, the hotel is located in the center of the hotel, with a sea view outside the window. One of the bosses is a Chinese woman, communication is convenient, the hotel is very warm and caring. Our suite with a separate kitchenette for simple meals and a separate wash and dryer is very convenient for children sailing every day."

"The hotel was very clean and appeared to have been recently renovated. It is conveniently located within walking distance of Weymouth Station and directly opposite the beach. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily return for my next holiday."
