Very Good
YYanguanThe guesthouse owner, Susan, even gave us fruit. The surrounding area is a bit complicated, near the train station, located in a row of residential buildings further inside. However, this building stands out from the rest of the complex; its exterior and interior are relatively ”normal,” unlike the surrounding buildings which are mostly abandoned or unfinished. Stepping into the building from the bustling street, it becomes much quieter. Our family room was spacious and fully equipped, although we didn't need to use the kitchen or washing machine. There were two bathrooms, which was incredibly convenient.
Kkaijiao1meihuaThe only downside to this hotel was that my room had a side view of the Nile, otherwise everything else was great, including a lovely little balcony. The location is excellent – not only do you get a view of the Nile, but it's also close to the pool, dining options, and hot air balloon bookings. Magic Horizon is just across the street, and King Tut's is upstairs in a nearby alley. There are two Chinese restaurants within walking distance, and Luxor Temple is also walkable if you're up for it. The breakfast was very good. Although the elevator is small, it's pretty normal, not one of those run-down versions. The shower and bed were both good.
GGuest UserThe hotel is on the west bank of Luxor. You don’t need to get up early to go hot air ballooning in the morning. You don’t need to take a ferry to cross the Nile to go to the Valley of the Kings and Habu City. There were only a few of us, and the hotel staff were very welcoming to us. The hotel has a small garden and the environment is very quiet. However, the hotel's breakfast and a la carte are not very delicious. It is not recommended to dine inside the hotel.
__CFT010000000799****The room wasn't big; it was a bit cramped for two people with their suitcases. However, the room was clean and cozy, showing that some thought had been put into its design and decor. The staff were also very helpful; they emailed me to ask when I would arrive after I booked the hotel. The restaurant upstairs has a view of the Nile River, and there are also restaurants downstairs, which is very convenient. It's also convenient for visiting various attractions in the Valley of the Kings.
JJeneJAfter the craziness of Cairo it was nice to walk into a place that felt more relaxed and homely. The staff were all very kind. Best part about this place was the food. The cook went above and beyond to cater for us. Very large portions at a reasonable price. Would recommend if you’re after somewhere more budget with a homely feel.
HHa_16Although we arrived earlier than the check-in time, we were shown to our room immediately. The bathroom was spacious and clean. We used towels and towels we brought with us, so we're not sure if there was body soap or a hairdryer.
LLongjun RenThe location of this hotel is average, about 5 minutes' drive from the pier in the city center, but it takes 15 minutes to walk. There are no special businesses or shopping places nearby. There is a KFC across the road and I had two meals there. The hotel was renovated about 20 years ago, so it has a very shabby luxury feel. The hotel's elevator also needs to be opened manually, which is very nostalgic and not modern at all. But it is also a hotel that meets the basic requirements.
GGuest UserIt is a fabulous raw and Rustic location in theHeart of Luxor. Just for an local life experience, we moved from exotic beach hotel accomodation to this Hotel. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly!! Best part was the Terrace, It is amazing. The photos we shot on it were simply mesmerising!!

Overall we enjoyed our stay in Happy land Luxor!!
NNiudahongIt costs 50 Egyptian pounds to take a taxi from the train station. It's not bad. It's opposite the Hilton. The hotel staff is quite friendly. The breakfast is simple. It's cost-effective. However, the hot water needs to be left for ten minutes before it is hot. The floor is still not that clean.
放放浪旅It's close to the station, but the road to the hotel is not well-maintained (this is true throughout Egypt), so if you have large luggage, it might be better to take a taxi. The hotel will arrange anything, including felucca, balloon, and transfer to the ruins. I had already booked the balloon and transfer to the ruins, so they arranged the felucca, but the time... I think the time was a little early. I came back just as other tourists were going out to the Nile to watch the sunset... To be honest, I think I would have been more satisfied if I had directly negotiated with the boatman along the Nile at the time of the scenery I wanted to see.
Hot water came out well and the water pressure was perfect. The only amenities were bar soap. There was no hair dryer in the room. I used one I brought with me, so I'm not sure if I can borrow one from the front desk. There was a bathtub, but it wasn't cleaned. In fact, the drain was clogged from the beginning, and my hair got mixed in, which was awful. The refrigerator was very cold, but I wonder if the air conditioner is controlled by the front desk? It didn't turn on even when I pressed the switch, so I asked the front desk and they turned it on for me. There is an elevator.
The clogged bathtub was the worst, but the hotel staff were all so kind (I told them I needed glue and they went out of their way to buy it for me!), and it was the only relief I felt in the rip-off town of Luxor lol. Thank you for your help.
