Hotels with Breakfast in Potsdam

First of all, we have to say that the room was neat and clean. The breakfast was also fine and the location was great. However: We booked a suite with a city view for 4 days. We got a smaller (mini) suite facing the inner courtyard, which we hadn't realized until then because we were given a ”suite” when we checked in. It was only after three days that we realized that we hadn't actually gotten the room we had booked - unfortunately too late. In addition, although we had a small kitchen with a refrigerator, dishwasher, kettle and microwave, there were no plates or glasses, which we had to ask about at reception. The hotel says that it doesn't clean the room until after the second night. This wasn't a problem for us and so we prepared the room accordingly after the second night so that the cleaning staff could work without interruption. In the evening we realized that no one was there. The reception was so full that we couldn't let anyone know. We also assumed that someone would come on the third day at least. The next morning we put up a sign on the door asking for cleaning. In short, no one came again. When we finally went to reception, we were told that this was an external service provider who had carried out the cleaning according to the documents, which of course was not the case! Other guests had also complained about this. Since we had already paid and therefore could not get a refund, we were treated to a drink at the bar and a chocolate bar for breakfast. So our ”suite” was not cleaned once in 4 nights, let alone the trash can emptied. The highlight was when checking out, when I was suddenly asked to pay a bill. After I told them that I had already done this in advance, the receptionist said that this was just a blocking of the amount but that I still had to pay the regular amount. What surprised me most was that the amount did not match my booking at all. When I pointed out again that I had already paid, the receptionist said he had confused me with another guest and that I could leave...

Very good breakfast. Good location. Parking is inside of hotel, but limit spots(8). Parking on the street (hotel front door), is free from ~6pm-8am. Other time will be 1.5 € ／hour.

The surroundings are relatively quiet, the room is clean and tidy. Two people checked in, and there was only one pillow and a small quilt at first. After calling the front desk, it was delivered quickly. Compared with the Holiday Inn I stayed in a few days ago, the elevator does not require a card, which is not safe enough, there is no electric kettle, and no USB charging port. So although it is a four-star hotel, there are areas for improvement in management details and decoration details. I guess it is also because it is quite old.

Das Hotel ist sehr modern und auch sehr ruhig leider kühlt die Klima nicht so ganz aber ansonsten alles perfekt. Frühstück ist auch ganz vielfältig.

Clean and tidy,

The layout of the room is reasonable, the apartment bathroom I live in is quite large, larger than my colleagues, so there will be surprises when choosing the room type and the appropriate high price.

The hotel is super located: walking to the Park Sanssouci, to the DB train station and to the bus stop. The rooms are well equipped and clean. Breakfast for 14 euros is rich. The parking is short (deep garage and parking places before and behind the house; cost 8 Euro per night). Then there is also a shortage of room at breakfast if the majority wants to breakfast at 9 a.m. on Sunday. The service is effortful and friendly.

Potsdam is very close to the train station, just across the bridge, the traffic is very convenient, the snow is beautiful every day, the breakfast is OK... the price is very high. The winter sunshine is very short, it is dark at 3 pm, and it is dark every day.

The room is not big, it is OK
