I'd been dreaming of visiting Guifeng Ancient Village for four or five years, all the way from northern Fujian to central Fujian. Finally, I made it! I hadn't checked hotels beforehand, but when we were almost there, we saw a B&B and chose it without hesitation. The service was fantastic, and I immediately called and joined the group chat to arrange everything. The drive up until 9 PM was like an adventure! The owner said he'd be waiting for me downstairs to take me on a small trail. Hahaha, I said, ”Don't worry, get in the car!” He joked, ”You sold me out and I didn't even know!” 😄 Then, after ten minutes of driving, wow! The ethereal scene before me captivated me! Then we were taken to Zhuangyuan Tower! In southern Fujian, there's a Mid-Autumn Festival tradition of playing the game of ”bo bing” (a card game)! I was immediately tempted to win! Zhuangyuan! 🏮! What captivated me most was that the room number I liked was the same as my phone number, 777. 🏮 Everything was perfect. 😌 This is truly a simple, peaceful village, devoid of any commercial atmosphere! It's even produced many celebrities! It's really a great place to produce talents! The Cai family ancestral hall of Chinese writers and calligraphers is here! The mountain road is long ~ it's really worth a visit! The boss lady and the boss are also very nice people. Their home is at the highest peak! Life is about climbing to the highest peak! See the best scenery🏮

The room is exactly like the picture, what you see is what you get, the whole room is filled with spring water, and it is only about 200 meters away from the opposite side of Dajin Lake. The boss is very enthusiastic and provides breakfast in the morning. If you want to eat here at noon or evening, it is highly recommended. It is delicious and affordable, and the price is reasonable.

I am very satisfied with the service. Because I was on a business trip and didn't have a car, and local transportation was inconvenient, the front desk lady drove me there personally, free of charge. She was serious and meticulous, and highly recommended.

Before commenting, considering not to bring too much personal emotions, I decided to stay again two months after leaving the hotel. Facilities: The hotel facilities are remarkable, but don't compare them with the requirements of first-tier cities. I personally feel that they are still okay. Hygiene: Very clean, the aunt who cleans the room is friendly, thumbs up! Environment: Downtown area, convenient. Yong'an is where I was born. It can be said that I left my hometown, took root, and returned to my hometown. The surrounding environment is also friendly. Service: The service of the hotel's housekeeping department is great. I like all the room service including the front desk staff👍 The most ”exciting” part is here, and the key point is: it is not recommended to dine in the restaurant on the 2nd/3rd floor of the hotel. The service attitude of the catering department is really bad (note⚠️ I mean the dinner restaurant catering. The aunts who provide breakfast and cook flat meat rice noodles and noodles are super enthusiastic)! The story started when the hotel front desk informed that the restaurant was full that night (during the Spring Festival), but you can go to the restaurant to order dishes and have them delivered to the room. The waiter took us to the director of the catering department to order food. The director's reaction to the guests was to sit in his office chair and say, ”I'm busy and don't have time” (she can't even stand up in front of the guests, and can't do the most basic etiquette. How did she become this director? A relative?!) We didn't care much, and the waiter could only go to their manager. The manager gave us a menu. After looking at the menu, I found it a bit difficult (personal taste is used to authentic Cantonese cuisine, after seeing the mixed dishes on the pad). After the manager of the catering department heard me and my father say something, she suggested that if we feel that it is not suitable, we can go to the restaurant on the corner of the first floor. We immediately asked if the restaurant downstairs was of the same level of food, and the answer we got was: ”It's almost the same, our employees eat there.” But when we got downstairs, we were dumbfounded 🙄 a dimly lit small stall with worrying hygiene conditions. I really can't understand that a so-called four-star hotel catering manager still has such a poor understanding of customer needs when repeatedly asking guests to confirm whether the food is of the same level. We can only go back to the restaurant again and ask if we can introduce a nearby restaurant of the same level. The attitude of the waiter in the catering department was cold and impatient: ”Everywhere is full now, there are no seats, such as the old Yong'an in the street, Xi Xiangfeng, which are of the same level, but there should be no seats.” At that time, I was really angry. I thought, how could a four-star hotel have such a poor service in the catering department, especially during the Chinese New Year. The family had not been back to Yong'an for more than ten years. They went back happily to visit their relatives, but encountered such a bad thing. Afterwards, we also reported this situation to the hotel front desk, and the director of the housekeeping department also apologized to us (again, this matter has nothing to do with the housekeeping department), and proposed to send yogurt as compensation (I don't know if there is a tradition in domestic hotels to send yogurt to settle the matter, but we strongly refused), sister, I really don't need it. As guests, we are more inclined to believe that if this kind of catering service is not improved, it is equivalent to directly smashing the hotel's signboard, and a good housekeeping department will be implicated. Finally, we went to ”Xin Xiangfeng” for dinner. There is no harm without comparison. The catering service is enthusiastic and the dishes are well cooked. Next time I go to Yong'an, I will probably consider other four-star or above hotels. But I still want to say sincerely that apart from the issue with the food and beverage department, the entire stay experience was still good, and I would like to thank the housekeeping department and the front desk staff in particular. I'd heard about the new five-star hotel in Taining and was really impressed upon arrival! The hotel is built into the mountainside, with the lobby and restaurant on the 7th floor. The guest rooms all overlook the lake, offering lake views that cascade down the hillside, somewhat reminiscent of the Shanghai Sheshan Wonderland Hotel – very unique. The rooms are spacious and well-designed, with a large bathtub in the bathroom – I loved it! The bathroom also features a separate shower and toilet. It was a wonderful vacation with my best friend. The hotel was clean and tidy, and the service was attentive. The air conditioning was pre-set for dinner, making it warm and cozy in the freezing Taining. For lunch, we ordered a simple meal at the restaurant. The food was delicious, especially the fried rice and the mixed fruit and pork belly – a perfect combination. The staff and chef even came to check on our preferences, which was very thoughtful. I forgot to take a picture of the afternoon's special 9.9 yuan coffee, but it was such a great deal! The coffee was authentic and incredibly fragrant, and it even came with a glutinous rice cake – such a high-value meal! I'm worried they might be losing money. 😘💪 In short, this trip to Bajian was totally worth it! 👍👍👍

This time, my friend set a parent-child room. 4 people lived in a very comfortable room. The beds were quite big. There were prepared hot tea, fruit, tea set, drying racks, charging cables, etc. in the room, which was very convenient. The staff of the whole hotel are very good, and the contact is more Manager Yuan. Thank you Manager Yuan! Manager Yuan is very good, responsive, answering all questions! Thanks also to the master Jiang who picked us up to the train station, very enthusiastic! I had a lunch and buffet breakfast at the hotel. The buffet breakfast was very rich, the ingredients were fresh and the taste was great! We travel during the day, and we go to the gym to play table tennis, run at night, and have a blind box for supper to eat, praise! It is also very convenient to take a taxi to the surrounding scenic spots and counties, very satisfied! Next time I want to bring my parents to travel, I also live here!

The hotel pictures are authentic and reliable, and I will add a few more. Deluxe rooms are larger than standard rooms and have an extra wardrobe. The hotel is pet-friendly and has easy parking. There are many places to eat, drink and have fun around, and it is also convenient to the Confucian Temple and the pedestrian street in the city center. There is a bus at the door. The room is big, clean and has no odor. The central air conditioning is powerful and the bed is comfortable. There are sofas and coffee tables, which is very thoughtful. The front desk service attitude was very good, the service was gentle and drizzling like a spring breeze, and they even gave me a flower on Women's Day. The cleaning ladies are very dedicated. The breakfast was also satisfying, with freshly cooked rice noodles! There are also porridge, soy milk, milk, eggs, fried dishes, staple foods and fruits. The hotel is very cost-effective, buy it with your eyes closed.

Overall, the place met my expectations. It was a bit worn down, visible water damage in the shower, but nothing that looked gross or nasty to me. Overall, for what I paid, I was satisfied with it. Breakfast was VERY underwhelming though. Don't expect much. It is very bare bones. Food is almost all gone around 8am and not replenished, so arrive by 7am-730am if you want anything to eat. But I'd recommend just getting food elsewhere. Location is quite central to SanYuan District and is only a few minutes walk away from the riverside walkway/park.

A pretty good place if you want to be central to Ninghua County sights. Just one point I would like to make: we asked the front desk for a suggestion for a decent place for dinner. The woman on duty said she knew nothing about the area—so left us completely on our own to find a place. I view that as poor service by the hotel—failing to realize how much it helps customers who are new to a city if you can give them a few suggestions for where to eat.
