Just checked out of this hotel and couldn't wait to share my experience! [Grinning face] As a newly renovated hotel, I was pleasantly surprised from the moment I stepped into the lobby. It perfectly embodies a 'New Chinese Aesthetic' with meticulous attention to detail everywhere. The hotel's overall design is incredibly tasteful, blending New Chinese style with modern simplicity. The public areas are spacious and bright, with art pieces and greenery perfectly placed to create an elegant yet cozy atmosphere. The front desk staff's smiles and efficient, professional service instantly put me at ease. The room itself was quiet and comfortable, freshly renovated with no strange odors, and the details were spot on. The bedding was incredibly comfortable. Although it was a bleak winter scene outside the window, the room was warm and spring-like, with soft lighting and a well-thought-out layout, making for a truly relaxing and pleasant stay. Then there's the tranquil beauty of the Yalu River in winter – I had a river view room, and the vista was excellent. Even though it was winter, with bare trees on both banks and a quiet, desolate landscape, it only highlighted the clear and deep beauty of the Yalu River. Under the winter sun, it shimmered with a cool, serene glow, creating a unique sense of calm and openness. But what truly touched and delighted me was the thoughtful 'souvenir' the hotel prepared. It wasn't the usual candy or simple stationery, but a bone china plate featuring illustrations of the Yalu River Broken Bridge and the scenery of North Korea across the river. It was full of local character and historical significance – a keepsake I could take home. This level of thoughtfulness goes beyond simple accommodation; it reflects the hotel's respect for guests' feelings and local culture, making it feel truly precious. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area; I'm sure you'll also find your own moving experience here.

The hotel is conveniently located, just a 10-15 minute walk from the train station and Broken Bridge. The facilities are excellent, including a smart toilet, washing machine, and dryer. The room is quite spacious and comfortable. They even provide good quality Ador shampoo and conditioner. The hygiene is top-notch, and the service is great. The breakfast offers a wide variety of options and is self-service. I highly recommend it!

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel extremely welcome and comfortable. Their hospitality, warmth, and willingness to assist made our experience truly memorable. The location of the hotel is excellent — very convenient for exploring Dandong’s main attractions, including the Yalu River area, and there are many shops and restaurants nearby. The surroundings are lively and pleasant, making it easy to explore the city on foot. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The facilities were excellent, and the hotel provided everything we needed for a relaxing family stay. The breakfast was also very good, with a nice variety of options. As a foreign guest, I especially appreciated the effort made to provide a comfortable dining experience. We were travelling with our family, including a young child, and the team was very considerate and helpful throughout our stay. Their friendly attitude and attention to detail gave us a very homely feeling. Overall, this was one of the most pleasant hotel experiences we have had in China. A big thank you to the entire team of Holiday Inn Express Dandong City Center for making our visit to Dandong so enjoyable. This hotel is located near the Yalu River. We booked a room with a view, and from our room, we could see the Yalu River and the Broken Bridge, which was a beautiful sight. I have to commend the parking attendant, who was incredibly enthusiastic and helpful. Since it was peak tourist season, parking was difficult. The attendant tirelessly ran around in the hot weather to help us find a parking spot. He suggested that it would be best to park the car once and then take a taxi or walk, as it would be more convenient. However, because we were going to the Museum of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea with our child, we opted to drive for convenience. I really should have listened to the attendant's advice and taken a taxi, because parking was indeed very challenging… Thankfully, when we returned to the hotel later that night, we managed to find a parking space just in time.

The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathroom facilities were in good working order, with stable hot water. The location is convenient, making it easy to find food and get around. The service was warm and attentive, and overall, it offers good value for money. I had a pleasant stay and would definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip.

The hotel's location is decent, not far from the attractions, and super convenient for dining and shopping. There are plenty of parking spaces, which is great if you're driving, but it's totally unmanaged and chaotic! No one helped with luggage, which is pretty shocking for a supposed five-star hotel that can't even manage that basic service. Breakfast was quite good, and the room was spacious. Cleanliness was just okay, but the facilities were comprehensive. One thing really annoyed me though: when checking in, the front desk gave us complimentary hot spring tickets. I took my child, and no one mentioned at the entrance that children needed tickets or specified any age/height requirements. But when we left, they said my child had to pay. I asked the front desk, and they said the free tickets were only for adults. Honestly, it wasn't a lot of money, but it just left a bad taste. I paid over 700 for the room, and then to nickel-and-dime over a 29-yuan hot spring ticket for my kid? It just felt petty!

The hotel is very close to the railway station, 10 min walk to the promenade, Broken Bridge and Piers, there’s a small park next to the hotel with dancing fountains and illuminated street at night ( looks wow!), easy to reach restaurants, stores and shops, where you can buy goods produced in DPRK. Before talking to the receptionist , better get ready your phone translator if you’re not fluent in Chinese, they didn’t seem very friendly and hospitable, the house keeping lady was more hello-hi and smiling, helped me to find the dashboard in my room to switch the lights:). By the way , the toilet surprised me with warm mode and some more functions you’ll check by yourself ( especially ladies:)). Breakfast….even for Chinese locals and hotel rating it looked poor and not delicious.Perhaps, it’s only my opinion, but I was disappointed and left the hotel restaurant half hungry.The hotel room is quite cozy and spacious, the mattress is not soft , but comfy for sleeping.Recommend it for short stay, 2-3 days, but for budget travelers, it’s not the option. Booked tents but there are cabins on site Add money to upgrade to cabins. The weather on May 1st is still strong. There are mountains and waters around. It is very pleasant. The boss said that the maple leaves in autumn are better-looking. You can consider coming again in October. The cabin has a complete range of indoor appliances. Water heaters, smart toilets, geothermal air conditioning, hand-made coffee and tea in the stove are very pleasant. Of course, outdoor camping inevitably has some emergencies, such as small bugs, bad nets, or broken electric curtains 😂 Normal heart ～ Since you choose camping, you can feel another life! The only uncomfortable thing is from breakfast. The breakfast is delivered by the eldest sister. It is very good. Each breakfast is heavy and full. But the two of us can't eat too much. We asked for a bowl of porridge, two steamed buns and some pickles. The eldest sister said that there are salted duck eggs. I said yes, the eldest sister asked a few and I said if I could come two. When the eldest sister was going to get it for me, a fat little brother next to her pulled his face and said no, he could give one. At that time, I was particularly defeated. Our accommodation, the electric curtains are broken, the net is broken, and there are small bugs. We all endured it because a salted duck egg depends on the face of people. Please standardize your breakfast, okay! If you can have one and a half salted duck eggs, please print them out and stick them in a clear position instead of asking us on the spot. Finally, say you can give one. If the boss wants to do service for a long time, he has to keep up. It is fun to spend money. It is not to see other people's faces!

This hotel was perfect. Walking distance from everything, the staff were extremely friendly, and the room was clean and nice. The only thing I can think of was that my tv didn’t work, but that could have been my fault because I never asked for help with it.
