Hotels with Breakfast in Chiayi County

The check-in was slightly unpleasant stating i only book for two but I clearly indicated 3. All that sorted when I understand that it was all sorted. The view of this place is absolutely amazing! Crazy beaufiful. However, if you're accessing this place via public transport. It is a nightmare getting off Bus 7322 and walking up is too much to managed 😫 Wish the hotel would have provided the transport for pickup at least to make the price worth paying for as it was a bit steep. Nevertheless, the view can't compare and truly put you on cloud 9.

The hotel is located near the Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum. Some rooms offer views of the Southern Branch. The staff are friendly and courteous, enthusiastically recommending nearby restaurants. The hotel has complete facilities, a variety of affordable dining options, and an exceptionally clean outdoor swimming pool with views of the Southern Branch. Today, March 17th, the lifeguards were very friendly and chatted with guests, making us feel right at home. This stay was truly memorable and will be our only choice for accommodation when visiting Chiayi...

Are all hotel rooms in Alishan small? This 10-something square meter room definitely isn't worth the price. There's no heating or air conditioning in the room. I saw vents and a central control system, but they weren't on? This wasn't mentioned when booking. After I booked, I received an email saying they don't have AC. It got a bit cold in the middle of the night, and they wanted an extra 200 for an additional blanket after I checked in. Is it normal to charge extra for basic comfort like staying warm? And a major issue: the hotel doesn't have an elevator. I saw a guest staying on the fifth floor struggling terribly with their luggage.

From the moment we checked in, we felt such warm and friendly hospitality ☺️. The room view was absolutely beautiful~ We especially loved the room's balcony, where we could listen to the birds, gaze at the lush tea plantations, and enjoy some wine with friends while waiting for dusk to arrive – it was incredibly relaxing ❤️❤️❤️. The room was very clean, and the bed was extra large and super comfortable~ Especially the breakfast included with the stay; it was a very traditional ********* congee that made us exclaim how much we missed it! It tasted just like Grandma's cooking from childhood~ Everything was so satisfying. Thank you to everyone at 'Palms Clap' and the staff ❤️❤️❤️ We will definitely be back!

This is one of the few newly renovated, clean, and comfortable accommodations within the Alishan area. The location is unbeatable, the electric blankets are a thoughtful touch, and the service is friendly. They even offer a shuttle to the bus station. The poor soundproofing and the walk to breakfast are definite drawbacks, but for the convenience of watching the sunrise within the park, it's still highly recommended!

Our stay in the family room at Fenqihu Hotel truly exceeded expectations! The room was much more spacious than I imagined; we could spread out our luggage with plenty of room to spare, which is a huge plus for families traveling together. The beds were incredibly comfortable – I fell asleep instantly, getting that much-needed relaxation during a trip 😌. What I loved most was how clean the entire place was. There was no dampness or stuffy smell, which is quite rare and impressive for a mountain area. It was also very quiet at night, ensuring a perfect night's sleep. Waking up to a full mountain view outside the window, with super fresh air, felt like an instant recharge 🌄. The staff were also very friendly and approachable, patiently helping us with any questions we had. Plus, the location is incredibly convenient; it's just a few minutes' walk to the old street, making it super easy to enjoy local food and take photos. Overall, this hotel is highly recommended for travelers looking to relax and conveniently explore Fenqihu. It's absolutely perfect for families, and I would definitely love to stay here again!

It’s a 10 mins walk to the nearest convenience store and eateries near to Xiding bus stop. The path gets quite dim and quiet at night. What’s nearby is mainly the “Tea and Mist Trail” - entrance to the trail is 2 mins walk from Dafang. The nearest bus stop to Dafang is Lincuo (3-5 mins walk away), which is not a major stop i.e. you can get off the tourist shuttle bus but you can’t board at Lincuo bus stop. The nearest stop to board the bus is Xiding. The room was fairly comfortable, but we were far from impressed with the aesthetics. Functional wise, It would have been useful to have a clothing rack in the room. While the room is spacious, the bathroom is rather cramped. Breakfast was simple and individually served, at the rooftop lounge which offers a great view of the mountain range.

After reading other reviews, I was prepared for the worst, but it wasn't as bad as I expected. The pros are its excellent location, just a 5-7 minute walk to Alishan Railway Station. There's parking right in front, which is great for those driving. The breakfast restaurant they partner with is also really good! 👍👍👍 The downside is the poor soundproofing; you occasionally hear footsteps or people talking. However, since I was so tired, I fell asleep quickly, so it didn't bother me much. 🤣🤣🤣

The hotel's hygiene was pretty good; I didn't notice any dirty spots, and the duvet in the room was comfortable and warm. However, the soundproofing in the room was really bad. I could hear everything from the toilet flushing next door to people showering and even sneezing 😂. The hotel's location is a bit out of the way. It's situated lower down among a cluster of hotels and is the furthest from Alishan Station. Getting there involves walking down stairs or a slope, which means every time you go from the hotel to the station or out for a meal, you have to walk uphill, which is quite tiring 😂. Also, there's no elevator, and even though it's only three stories high, those with large luggage should be aware.

This room is basic but located at Alishan which makes it easier if you want to catch the morning sunrise. Would need to walk down if arriving by the Alishan train as there is no shuttle service provided to and from the station. Breakfast was located at another building within walking distance of the hotel. Clealiness was average and room was small but sufficient for a nights' rest
