"Hotel service was very bad. Rooms were not clean. Although We asked slippers twice, they didnt bring. There was A construction going on nearby. It was so noisy.
Absolutely awful experience – avoid at all costs!
I’ve stayed in many places before, but this was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever been to. Some of the staff were incredibly rude and couldn’t care less about the guests. They acted like they were doing us a favor just by being there.
The bathroom, especially the toilet, was unbelievably cramped and dirty – completely unacceptable.
Honestly, this place doesn’t deserve a single star. It was a waste of money and time. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone – even walking past this hotel would ruin your day. Stay away!
The only thing I can say positive was location."

Great
GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The breakfast was very good. A special thank you to the staff at the front desk – they responded to all requests instantly. I checked out early in the morning, and they provided a packed lunch. The only minor point is the slightly steep uphill walk after a long day out.
ÖÖzgeCeylanThe location is very good.
A small tip: in case you might not notice, if you are going by walking, not driving, using Google Maps directly may take you the long way around. If you contact the host, they will show you the back entrance, which takes you straight to the Baščaršija center in just 3 minutes.
The place was clean, comfortable, and very warm. We were very satisfied throughout our stay. The hosts were also kind-hearted and lovely people. I’m very happy to have met them.
I wish all a happy days
AAToiStayed here for one night before an early morning flight and had a really lovely stay. I honestly didn’t realize until I arrived that Hotel Baškuća had been featured in TIME’s World’s Greatest Places 2025 and National Geographic Traveller’s European Cities Collection 2025; such a nice surprise and very well deserved.
The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk to Baščaršija (the old bazaar), which made it very convenient for exploring Sarajevo even with a short stay. The room was very cozy, clean, and comfortable, and the amenities were all thoughtfully prepared. Everything felt well-kept and welcoming.
I had to leave very early for my flight, so unfortunately I didn’t get to try the breakfast, but I heard from others that it’s excellent.
Overall, a very pleasant stay and I’d happily recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Sarajevo especially if you want somewhere comfortable, charming, and well located.
IitravelrussiaI liked the hotel. It is quite cheap and housed in beautiful building. No lifts, and you might have to climb to the second floor (friendly staff helped with the luggage). Hotel parking too small, an alternative - easily accessible, but way overpriced public parking, probably the most expensive in Sarajevo. Cannot recommend hotel if you travel by car
GGuest UserPresident Hotel has a perfect location,-Just 1-3 minutes’ walk to the Latin Bridge and Old Town,
-5 minutes’ walk to the cable car station,10 minutes’ walk to the Yellow Fortress,
Transportation costs
€20from/to the airport,
€12from the main bus terminal,
Also, Hotel staff will help call a taxi for you. They are so nice and polite.
5 minutes’ walk to the ,airport bus stop
The breakfast offers a good variety of food,The room is clean and spacious, with plenty of space on both sides of the bed—perfect for placing chargers, phones, handbags, etc. The overall room size is generous
GGuest UserIncredible hotel with very kind and welcoming staff. Nice and large rooms with an incredible view of the forest, a very unique experience. Would like to extend a thanks to Sanin for making the best hot chocolate I've ever had, and Mladen for serving us in the three times (!!!) we used the downstairs restaurant which had probably the best pizza I've ever had. I never use the restaurant in the hotel but this was seriously exceptional and had plenty of options. I ended up ordering Pizza Trebevic twice on two separate days. The breakfast options were good too.
Special thanks also to Mellisa at the front desk who let us check out late because our flight was late in the evening and greeted us with nothing but kindness, and booked us taxis as we needed.
The only problem you might have with the hotel is that the location is high up in the mountains. Cab drivers probably won't be very pleased to take you up easily and you will feel guilty that they drove so far for you. The hotel is basically in the middle of nowhere but the hikes around the area make it worth it. On the map it looks like it is not far from the main town but it is really far compared to other options. Go to this hotel if you intend to hike often but just bear in mind that you are high up in the mountains, far away from the old town center
GGuest UserThe hostel's location is excellent, right next to the main cathedral, with all the best sights within walking distance. There's also a tram stop nearby. Everything is very convenient, but the only drawback is the unqualified staff. I also encountered a common problem in Bosnia: if you book a hotel and pay by card (Russian), you might be asked to pay in cash upon check-in. I had to spend a long time proving that I had paid for my accommodation. Be prepared for this, or book without payment and pay on arrival.
GGuest UserThe hotel room is very large, the breakfast is rich in variety, the room is clean and warm, and there is a balcony. You can see the beautiful mountain view through the window. It is only a few minutes away from the Latin Bridge. I am very satisfied with choosing this hotel~
FFarahain750We came early because of the train schedule. The receptionist is very helpful to checked us in early and gave bigger room to us.Location is just behind the sarajevo train station but you need to take cab because of the hill. It has wifi and elevator. They accepted card payment.Easy to carry big luggage. No public transport around but the receptionist always helped us to call taxi
