The hotel was clean and tidy. The front desk staff were incredibly patient and helped me print my travel tickets. The surrounding area is very convenient for dining, shopping, and transportation, with a supermarket nearby on the ground floor. The breakfast was rich and varied. Both the subway and bus stations are very close.

I was genuinely 'shocked' when I walked into the lobby – stunning Japanese design, spacious, and an elegant atmosphere that just washes over you.

The hotel is located in Minato-ku, right next to the US Embassy, making it incredibly quiet and beautiful.

Beyond the daily room cleaning, they also offer turndown service – they'll lay out a bath mat, leave chocolates, and even beautiful origami cranes and turtles.

Each day, you get a set of THREE mini-samples (cleansing oil, face wash, toner, moisturizer, and cotton pads).
They also provide a complimentary packet of rice crackers & peanut snacks daily.
Soft drinks in the mini-bar are extra, but the prices are reasonable: 500 for a canned drink, 700 for a beer.

You absolutely MUST experience the swimming pool and sauna/bath facilities; they completely blow away any high-end bathhouse in Beijing. The pool is unbelievably clear!

This hotel is located in the heart of Kyoto's main business district. The rooms on the Higashiyama side offer a direct view of the Kamo River and the eastern mountains, making for an excellent location. The hygiene is impeccable, and the service is very attentive. What's particularly noteworthy is how surprisingly good value the breakfast is. For 3800 yen per person if purchased separately, the buffet offers a rich variety of delicious food. For those of us who often feel a lack of vegetables when eating Japanese cuisine, the unlimited salad bar here is an absolute delight. Several types of small fish and the tofu soup were also unexpectedly delicious. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Kyoto.

The hotel's service was truly excellent. A dedicated staff member escorted us to our room and patiently answered all our questions. The facilities are quite new for Kyoto, and the rooms are spacious. We had a large king-size bed (the kind made from two singles joined together) which was at least 2.4 meters wide. The hotel also has its own small garden, which was lovely for a stroll after breakfast. The location isn't far from anything; we mostly took taxis, which cost around 1100 yen per ride. The breakfast was a bit surprising – it was an American-style set menu. While it was well-prepared and refined, it felt a bit odd to have American breakfast at a Japanese hotel. One drawback was that I booked through Trip.com, and we were assigned a room on the third floor facing the road. We could hear car noise at night. Since we were only staying one night, we didn't ask to change rooms. The hotel's service was truly excellent. Absolute jem starting from the great location and Stunning views. We had a renovated room which was absolutely amazing with a lovely French vibe to it.
Fantastic breakfast with a vast variety of cuisines. Spotless and sparkling. Very friendly service eager to help. I am grateful to a concierge helping me with an airplane ticket situation. Staff’s English is on a decent level. I would totally recommend this hotel for a memorable stay in Shanghai 😍
