Although the room dates back to 2016, it's in great shape overall, and the bathroom is incredibly spacious! Breakfast was also excellent; they even served Shin Ramyun, which I've never seen at other hotel breakfasts! The hotel is quite close to Weihai Park and the 'Big Photo Frame.' However, a notable drawback is that water tends to overflow easily in the bathroom, making the floor quite slippery, especially if you're wearing shoes. Getting to Hanlefang requires a taxi, and traffic can get very congested during dinner hours.

This is Weihai's State Guesthouse, and as expected, the location is excellent. The room facilities were surprisingly good; we even got an upgrade to a room with a partial sea view, which was fantastic. The hotel staff were incredibly enthusiastic – from the lobby manager and front desk to the floor attendants, the friendly doorman, and the restaurant staff – everyone demonstrated exceptional professionalism and a genuine passion for service. It's clear the entire hotel is incredibly well-managed right now! Our stay was extremely comfortable and added significant positive emotional value to our trip. This is definitely a hotel we'll choose again next time we visit Weihai.

I was very happy with the room. The staff at the front desk, both the young ladies and gentlemen, were excellent. They were very helpful and proactive in solving any issues. The aunties at the restaurant were also lovely, and the food was delicious. I was very, very satisfied. When I checked out, they even thoughtfully looked after my luggage.

Here's my objective review of this stay.
Pros:
1. Upon check-in, a staff member helped me with my luggage from the lobby.
2. My child lost a toy accessory in the room during our stay and we couldn't find it. When checking out, I asked the staff to look for it again when cleaning the room. In the afternoon, the hotel informed me that they had two teams search for it and finally found it. I'm very grateful, and they even helped arrange for it to be sent back to me with payment on delivery.
3. During one of the cleanings, they left two extra bottles of water and a note, indicating they noticed formula milk powder in the room and that more water might be needed for mixing it.
4. The male staff member in a black suit I met in the hallway and the female cleaner I met the next morning greeted me very politely.
5. During breakfast, a very tall manager and other service staff saw me with my young child and proactively offered to cook the noodles longer and even brought them to my table. When I mentioned that the yogurt was gone, they responded and refilled it very quickly.
6. The room has a great view, offering panoramic views of the beach and the pier.
Cons:
1. There were no Little Prince children's amenities or daily yogurt, which I had read about in other reviews.
2. The non-smoking floor was a joke. There was always a smell of smoke in the hallway, and there was an ashtray full of cigarette butts on the windowsill in the hallway right in front of our room. After I moved it to the trash bin near the elevator, a few hours later, a plastic box full of cigarette butts had replaced it in the original spot. After I reported this to the hotel, their only response was that the guest across the hall was smoking in the corridor and they had aired it out, with no other action taken.
3. The provided baby bed rail couldn't be fixed securely and was ineffective. At our request and prompting, they brought ropes to tie it down (at the previous hotel we stayed at, the bed rail was already tied and secured before our arrival).
4. During the mid-stay cleaning, they didn't notice clothes dropped on the floor, and the duvet was just folded haphazardly. However, they did proactively drain the water from the bathtub.
5. The hotel room card could open a door leading to the beach, but we weren't informed about this. We only found out from a passerby.

Guest UserFirst, the good points: the breakfast was excellent, and the location is absolutely superb! You step right out to the sea, and the view from the window is fantastic!
Service: The service was great. They provided fruit daily, and even offered late-night snacks (though I only redeemed it once, it was truly amazing!). When ordering takeout, a robot delivered it to my room, which was a fantastic experience.
Cleanliness: Spotlessly clean. A big thank you to the cleaning staff who worked hard every day!
There were a few minor drawbacks, but they didn't detract from the overall excellent experience:
1. We booked a Business Seaview Room, which should have been on floors 16-20. However, when my family checked in earlier, they were given a room on the 15th floor, right next to the elevator, which was quite noisy. This might have been because my family checked in about 10-20 minutes early and the room wasn't ready. But later, they upgraded us to a Family Twin room, which was a nice little upgrade, and I'm very grateful!
2. I felt the 'seaview' was more of a partial seaview. I couldn't find corresponding photos for the room when I booked. Perhaps the 'Scenic View Room' offers a more direct seaview, but this was still very good.
3. When we checked out, around 12 PM, they called to ask if we had checked out. This was a bit strange because we had left much earlier. However, these are minor issues that didn't affect the overall experience.
4. I hope they will provide clearer descriptions for seaview rooms in the future, especially for partial seaviews. PS: I absolutely love seaview rooms! I've traveled to many cities and almost always choose a seaview room.

Guest UserI stumbled upon this hotel with a floor-to-ceiling sea-view window room online and immediately fell in love with it. So, I took advantage of the three-day Qingming Festival holiday to visit Weihai. I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, and the actual experience was fantastic!
From the hotel's **exterior**, it felt like an older four-star, but once I entered the lobby, the overall impression was very neat, clean, and bright. You could tell that the hotel put effort into maintaining its facilities. The staff were also very enthusiastic, even calling a day in advance to confirm my itinerary and preferences. The **service** was excellent.
Since I arrived quite late on the first night, after 10:00 PM in Weihai, I booked a **standard king room** for the first night. It offered a street view, not the sea. The room was quiet and very clean, perfect for a good night's rest.
On the second day, around 9:00 AM, we moved to the sea-view room I had been looking forward to. I booked the **Deluxe Sea View Terrace King Room**. The room was still very clean and quiet. The interior decoration was on par with a five-star hotel (though the walls were a bit patchy and could use a repaint). Upon entering, there was a bathtub, and then the super large floor-to-ceiling window and terrace came into view. In front of the window, there was a soft sofa, which was incredibly comfortable and relaxing for drinking tea or coffee – it just made me so happy. The view from the terrace was also stunning; the sea was very clear on sunny days. In the evening, you could watch the sunset from the room. What could be more romantic than that?
The **breakfast** restaurant was a sea-view restaurant with a huge floor-to-ceiling window. Outside, there was a trestle bridge, the sea, and seagulls – the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. The breakfast selection wasn't super extensive, but it covered most Chinese breakfast essentials, and the taste was good. For a four-star hotel, it was really impressive.
The **location** is in Huancui District, not far from attractions like Torch 8th Street. There are also many good restaurants nearby. Downstairs are Jinshatan Beach and the Jinhaiwan Trestle Bridge, where many seagulls hover.
The hotel has an elevator that goes directly to the beach, and guests are given an exclusive wristband. For families with children who want to play in the water during summer, it's very convenient – you can go straight back to your room via the elevator to wash up after playing.
Overall, the accommodation experience was excellent! Full marks, highly recommended!

Guest UserI asked for a non-smoking room, and I think that the hotel did give me one. But there is something everyone should know about who goes to China. Many still smoke indoors, even near kids. No room is truly free from smoke, I imagine. My room had a weak smell of smoke, and that scent was in all the places, from the lobby and lifts to the corridor. Still, the hotel staff were friendly and kind throughout my stay. Talking to them may be difficult if you do not speak Mandarin, as most staff know a little English, but a translation app helps a lot. They were all kind and happy to help. This was my first trip to Weihai, and the trip was for a friend’s wedding in one of the hotel’s halls. So, the spot was quite good for the event. If you go to Weihai just to see sites or other fun spots, you might want to look at other places to stay. That said, the hotel has a sweet sea view and parks by the sea, which is nice for a slow walk and some clean air.

BumaicaipiaoI just had to write this review because Dennis from the front desk was absolutely amazing! My stay exceeded all expectations, and I have to give it a full five-star rating. The room was spotless and dry, with no unpleasant odors, and the bathroom had plenty of hot water. All the facilities were well-maintained. Dennis provided incredibly thoughtful and attentive service, treating guests with such a warm demeanor that I felt right at home throughout my stay. The hotel is in an excellent location, with convenient transportation and plenty of amenities nearby. The environment is quiet and peaceful, making it perfect for both leisure and business travelers. Seriously, the cleanliness, service, and amenities were all impeccable. I've already saved this hotel and will definitely be staying here again!

Guest UserThis hotel is right by the sea; you can literally step out and be on the beach, and even watch the ocean from your bed. The front desk lady was very thoughtful and reserved a room for us in advance. We even received a small gift when we checked out. Highly recommend for couples! [Heart emoji]

Guest UserThe room was spotless, the service was excellent, and breakfast offered a generous spread. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. The hotel is perfectly situated directly across from the beach and a pier, with plenty of great bars and cafes in the vicinity. In the evenings, we enjoyed dining on the beach while listening to music, and even witnessed the most stunning sunset. There's also the popular San Shan Tian, an internet-famous cultural and creative shop. My entire experience was truly delightful.
