Hotels with Bars in Sliema

Fantastic 5* hotel. From the reception staff to the concierge, the kitchen staff and housekeeping, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The hotel is beautiful and clean and just a 5 minute walk to the main road where all the shops are. The breakfast was fulfilling and we were spoilt for choice. Loved my stay here!

Great service-clean hotel This is the first review I have written for a hotel The hotel was great !the reason I am writing this review is because of the hotel staff. This was an first visit to Malta and with their help.suggestion and gudisncs we had a great experience. Our room was quite opacious and enough storage for a phot stay.It was another clean .Breakfast was excellent If returning to Malta ,we will stay at The window hotel again!

A staycation while living in Malta. The room was not too small, so it didn't feel stuffy at all, and the view of Valletta was perfect! The outdoor pool was especially pretty, and the breakfast was also good because there was a lot to eat.

Good size rooms, very clean and comfortable bedding. Good breakfasts in the form of a very generous buffet. Pleasant hotel swimming pool dug into the rock by the sea with an outdoor bar and snack bar for lunch. Very satisfactory stay overall. However, a new decoration of the common areas and restaurants seems desirable to me, because for the moment the hotel is certainly comfortable and of good quality but without charm.

After much deliberation for location and hotel for our stay in Malta we chose 'The Regency Plaza, Sliema*' and after a fantastic week here we know that we chose well. Very happy with the hotel from the reception - happy to help with anything and everything, baggage storage (until our room was ready), our room, the bed, the view, the pool (outdoor one is blooming cold but who cares!), the breakfast choice to most importantly, location! It's important to know that *Sliema is massive and where the ferries go from. This hotel is quite a distance from there (although easily walkable) and is actually situated in Exiles Bay (Bus stop is actually Antik - right outside the hotel) a much quieter and prettier area. We were put on the 5th floor and were so glad as the views were superb and also the outside noise isn't as intense, but the sliding door to the balcony is very effective at cutting out the noise anyway. I loved to sit and watch the world go by early morning and evening - people jogging, walking, taking dogs for a walk or the may electric scooters whizzing by. We had no trouble sleeping nor did we hear any other noise (like music or road traffic etc). There are a couple of nice bars/restaurants opposite the hotel and directly out of the hotel entrances (yes, there are two receptions and entrances) is a pizza place (which you walk through to get in) and a Costa Coffee shop. Our room was a reasonable size and had all the amenities we needed - safe, hairdryer, plenty storage, a nice shower (but you do have to pay extra for coffee making facilities) but the toilet took forever to re-fill after a flush - a tad annoying but nothing I'd really moan about. The shower had some marks on the grouting but overall the room was very clean and the maids came everyday. Bed was comfortable and blackout curtains ensured a good nights sleep. Breakfast was a very, very typical European hotel offering. Cooked sausages, bacon, eggs, beans, tomatoes etc. Plenty choice of break, fruit, meats and cheese. Lovely fresh cooked warm croissants with a choice of jams, chocolate sauce and more. Coffee and juice via machines and waitresses very efficently cleaning up after you as soon as you are done, so no clutter of plates on tables etc. As mention, the top floor swimming pool was excellent but really cold. We found this both bracing and refreshing on the warmer days, plenty of sunloungers, a pool bar and mutliple level seating (as there are two sides to the hotel, you can cross over). We got a 7 day bus travel card for €21 each and we used them to death as it is so simple to get anywhere on the island by bus. They are clean, frequent and convenient. The bus stops are right outside the hotel for either direction. They can get full during 'rush hours' but that's always part of the charm of travel by bus we find! The location of the hotel we found was perfect, not only for bus/ferry travel but for bars and restaurants and even swimming. There is a wide pedestrian boulevard that

Location is good. It’s close to ferries  and restaurants. The amenity is must-have things such as hairdryer, mug, glass, coffee, kettle but no drinking water. However, the unacceptable thing is that there is a stranger man using keycard (from whom???) and entered my room while I slept there. Luckily he went out of my room and asked is the issue solved? But actually I never reported any issue. this is 4 night-stay and this shocked event was on second date. I ask reception to check the camera and he promised will get back to me with detail. However they don’t. No official apology from hotel and no update until I check out. I asked reception upon check out but advised no idea and depend on management team, maybe a mistake from the team about keycard? This is ridiculous for their actions and how professional they are. I do not recommend this hotel as they did not care guests at all. If that day is a th ief , I can’t imagine!!

The original Victoria Hotel was closed for a while and was tied up in a new hotel next door (PALACE). I heard that it is a hotel operated in the same place as PALACE. You must have just been lucky. Ligament opposite the church. The facilities were really good. Breakfast was also dinner, but dinner and taste were delicious in the 9th floor lounge. The view was beautiful. It's a pity that all the pictures haven't been uploaded. There is a large supermarket right around the corner. The bus stop was also a 5-10 minute walk. The people at the desk were kind. There was no problem with staying in Jegicho English. The lounge on the 9th floor is highly recommended (Thai beef salad around 9 euros) Beach sandals and towels can be purchased at a reasonable price at a store near the beach, so it was a place where you can enjoy swimming in the water casually even if you come empty-handed. 我原来预定的宾馆是暂停营业,据说,这家PALACE酒店和我原来预定的酒店(Victoria)?开业的, 属于高档的。 Former Taiwanese 员很热情, 我预定的房间是带阳台的, 房间又大又干净, 属于大又干净, 里面严个述述, 早鸥热情.的公交车站用不了10分钟, 也就是海边,走到哪里都是完美的景点。这家附近有大型超市, 购物也很方便。

We spent 8 nights here. Averagely priced for what it is, location is good and rooms are basic but clean. However I had a terrible experience with the manager on the last day as the the electricity went out in the hotel. This happened the day before too but came back after maybe 2 hours. This time no electricity or AC for over 14 hours and when I complained at 2am as I needed to pack my bags for my flight in 2 hours and my room is in complete darkness and it was unbearable heat the manager/director told me “what do you want me to do about it I’m in bed” - he handled the situation very poorly and expected guests just to get on with having no lights or AC with no indication or solution to the issue as it was out of his control. After a long time over and back arguing his case that the power outage wasn’t his fault and this happens regularly in Malta, so what was he to do about it, I was eventually refunded for that one night. I understand it was a power outage on the street but they way the manager handled it was terrible. Didn’t care about the guests in the hotel. The night staff Oscar was great showed a complete understanding of the situation and sourced a torch for us to try pack up our stuff in the room. But for the experience with the manager I would not return to this hotel.

This is a hotel I booked for a vacation in Malta. There are frequent ferries from Sliema to Valletta, so it's easy to get around. But if the weather is bad, you have to take the bus for 30 minutes. I saw the infinity pool and made a reservation, but due to construction, I wasn't able to use it even once during my 2-night stay.

The location is pretty good, the staff are very helpful and nice. General condition of the hotel is good and pool is a nice space. However, there were a few key negatives. There are no safes in the rooms which is shocking, considering what they are charging. It means you have to carry all valuables with you. Breakfast is basic, and generally not kept warm I.e Lukewarm eggs. Our room had little natural light. Rooftop pool bar no longer open. Also they have random rules about not walking through the hotel after 6pm in beach wear, or with luggage which is problematic as it’s based over two buildings.
