Beautiful hotel with excellent customer service. My request was granted promptly, which I really appreciated. The room was clean, tidy, and very comfortable, making my stay feel like a home away from home. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made sure everything was perfect throughout my stay. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and will definitely be booking again. Highly recommended

Stayed for three nights, no complaints! The location is convenient, cleanliness is good, and the service is welcoming. The deluxe double room (single occupancy) was spacious enough for two people to open their luggage. The option to store luggage after check-out is a thoughtful touch.

My flight was severely delayed and so I did not get to the hotel until 4am. I had rang ahead and a very pleasant lady said she would make sure the reception staff were aware. I arrived and checked in, which was very smooth. My room was ready and very familiar to me as I am always given that room. The bed is extremely comfortable, but so high! I am only 4'11” and I always have a problem actually getting on the bed. I use my cabin bag laid down as a step. I always feel confident at this hotel as a solo traveller.

The hostel is in a great location, very close to the city centre and within easy walking distance. The cleanliness was okay overall, although the extractor fan in the bathroom wasn’t working properly, so the room felt a little damp. One very positive detail was the hand soap and shampoo provided, they smelled amazing. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the common area is comfortable and cosy. There is no kitchen, but coffee and snacks are available. There can be some noise from the other rooms and from doors being slammed. I was a little unlucky during my stay because there was a children’s football team staying at the hostel. They were quite noisy late at night and early in the morning, knocking on doors, shouting and running through the corridors. Of course, this wasn’t the hostel’s fault, but unfortunately it made my stay less enjoyable. Overall, I would still recommend this hostel, especially to women travelling solo. I felt safe and comfortable during my stay.

It was good but had to change rooms because the AC was not working and it was the hottest day of the week! We walked in and it was like a sauna. Got moved to a different room with the AC finally working and it was good, but the bathroom sink wasn’t draining the water well and it took a while for it to go down. Good selections of breakfast! And they allowed us to stay 1h more before checking out.

The hotel is conveniently located near the train station, but it’s quite a walk to the main attractions. The reception staff were very friendly, and the service overall was excellent. However, the hotel itself feels a bit dated and could use some renovation.

Ideal location right by the train station. Hotel room was lovely, beds comfortable, shower warm - large spacious room. Mini bar also. Hotel staff friendly breakfast was available at extra charge but did not have it. Would stay here again.

If you have an early morning flight to catch this hotel offers excellent value. The hotel is just a mere 5 minutes walk away from the main terminal building.

The location of the hotel is right opposite St James’ Park stadium, which is perfect as we were there to watch Newcastle United Football Club’s matches. It is easily accessible to every area of the town and also walkable to the city centre and the train station. We very much enjoyed our stay at the Sandman Signature Newcastle hotel and would recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Newcastle!

Myself and my partner stayed at this hotel for 3 days. When I booked it, I never realised it had one part at one side and the other part across the street. If you book your standard rooms your hotel is across the road. The standard double room was 'cosy'. There wasnt a great deal of space but we were out the majority of the time so it was fine just for a place to sleep. The location is good, definitely a student area and the hotel offer earbuds for the noise. We stayed through the week and being honest we didnt find it that loud and most places were closed and quiet for no later than midnight. I do imagine it would be very different staying at the weekend. We used west Jesmond metro to get to and from the city centre, the hotel is about a 8 minute walk from the metro, the are very frequent also, so all in I think it took no more than 15 mins to get right into the city centre. So the room in general was ok, our room had a bit of a smell coming from the drains, which wasnt very nice so we had to buy a spray for the room. The main issue with the room and the hotel is the heat!! It has just been 28 degrees in newcastle and outside was cooler than the room. We bought chocolate and it melted in a cupboard. They do give you a fan but being honest, it did nothing. The window was also small so no air really got in from that either. It made for a few uncomfortable nights sleep! Overall the cleanliness was ok but just far to warm.
