"Booked this hotel as I stayed before in some Ibis hotels.
When came to check in the person from reception asked us to wait until he checks the room.( it was around 4pm)? I assume room was meant to be checked before. Took him about 10 minutes or so. Took the keys room was nice, comfy, minimalistic If i can say so.(i would have a mini fridge).
In about 20 minutes while we weregeting ready to go out AC stared to lick quite badly. When went downstairs told the same person at the reception he only nodded ( I mentioned as its for the interest of the hotel as everything is geting wet, floor, wall).
After we came back, enetered the room was quite hot as the AC was off. Couldn't turn on, tried to contact reception through the WhatsApp number that is offered in the room ( saying phones are such a 1980's), no one answered after about half an hour tried to call the same number, again no answer. Tried to call the hotel, went through the AI.
Went downstairs in the end to ask how to turn on the AC. Person at the reception said it is off from them and he can turn it on for me, which he did. After about 1 hour i had to go downstairs back to ask to turn it off as the water dripping was getting on my nerves and the AC could not be turned down either from the room. At least I was given a fan that helped to solve the issue, and I was told to complain in the morning if I need.
Another thing I want to mention is that therr is no ice in the hotel, as when i went downstairs and asked for it been told they dont have any, neither fridge is available in the room.
So my fathers treat away was unfortunately ruined by the hospitality of the hotel.
At least weather was good."

POOL was very good and nice to have this in hotel.
Breakfast was excellent with vast variety of different options, we enjoyed this .

Stunning hotel, great location. Everything was fantastic. Small thing is room 109 has a small frosted window with no view. When opening it opens to a dirty mucky roof. We did not leave it open as vermin might enter the room. We also mentioned it was a 40th bday but no extras not even a note.

Anonymous UserRoom on first look wasn’t as well maintained with markings on the wall. Tea, coffee and biscuit were provided but some packaging were already opened (wasn’t sure if this was an oversight but I did not need any of the items so did not matter to me) . Bed was however comfortable and toilet shower pressure was good. Location of hotel is a short walk to the beach which was convenient. Did not try the breakfast but it looked really good.

rcf2780Lovely staff, very clean, good location and great buffet bfast. I had requested a quiet room and ended up being right next to the lift, so didn’t get much sleep. The mattress/pillow werent very comfortable, and the hotel was boiling. Other than that, great value for money.

Guest UserWe were looking forward to our two night stay at the Mirimar hotel as we had heard some good things about it as a venue for weddings etc. Unfortunately our room was adjacent to fans outside so we had to keep the window closed at night. The floors were very squeaky and it was quite noisy during the evening time from above us. The bed was large but most uncomfortable. Too hard for us so we had to sleep on the duvet doubled over. The reception staff were really kind and pleasant to talk to and always acknowledged us when we passed by. Having said all that, the room was very clean if rather tired looking. Would we stay again? Probably not unless we could afford a suite overlooking the sea.

Nice hotel, not far from the beach. Breakfast was good but was only until 9.30am. Rooms were nice, spacious and clean we had a balcony room with lovely views of the beach, the rooms were quite hot and no A.C which is needed in hot weather. The outdoor pool is heated but no indoor pool for when the weather isn’t good. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Great location, only 10 minutes walk from Bournemouth train station. I only stayed one night for a meeting I had the next day. All member of staff were very friendly ,courteous and polite!
The property shows its age but the room are spacious when compared with other three star hotels like Travelodge. Its off the main road and very quiet in the night.
I've opted in for breakfast, however, to be totally honest for the cost of £14 I expected to see more options - its very basic.
However, all in all I had a good experience and will visit again!

Guest UserWe just wanted a reliable, welcoming, safe and CLEAN base for one night at a fantastic price and we got exactly that here at Laguna. It was no- frills, eg no fridge in room ,or edgy decor and no bonus toiletries ...but that is exactly what we didn't need! It was a basic but spotlessly clean room with all the essentials you need for a good night's stay; 2 freshly made beds, an unsuite with hot shower, towels and flannels for 2, a tv with remote, WiFi, tea making facilities and a lockable door with 24 hr security. The welcoming host was friendly and efficient and we were very confident we had chosen the perfect place for our budget. We were within walking distance of the beach and town, with a handy late night shop just a few minutes walk away. This time we didn't experience the rest of the facilities available, such as the swimming pool, games room or bar/ entertainment..but it was good to know they were an option. Thanks for making our trip an enjoyable one Laguna; we planning returning in the future.

Guest UserWe came here for a relaxing weekend. We had just that. The staff were lovely and so helpful. Especially Jean-luc the duty manager. The room had a lovely sea view. On the right Bournemouth pier and to the left Boscombe. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Yes there was a fridge. The bed was comfortable. And linens were changed daily. We used the sauna and the indoor pool. Also all very lovely. We had no problem with parking either. A short 15- 20 min walk to Bournemouth pier. Stopped along the way at a lovely beach bar/restaurant. We even extended our stay because we were having such a lovely time. We will definitely be back. Thank you to the staff for making our much needed break away as lovely as it was!
