The hotel is convenient between Locarno and Lugano but is not in the city but there are a few good restaurants nearby. (Especially Mezzaluna da Rosi & Andrea)
The train station is just in front of the door and with the Ticino ticket you can get in the hotel you can use the OpenV in Tessin for free.
