"We stayed for a couple of nights, and found this perfect for our needs. A relatively small hotel but nice spacious rooms with decent facilities. Comfortable bed and armchairs, and a generally quiet spot. (We were on the top floor). Only downside was a large TV which relied on a small internal aerial, which doesn't make for great reception with digital TV. Far from a deal breaker for us but worth knowing."

"Being in a peak area, this standard is quite satisfactory. The only discomfort is that there is no elevator, the stairs are relatively narrow, and it is troublesome to get up and down large luggage. Breakfast is made a la carte, the taste is much better than some buffet breakfasts, and the service staff are also more enthusiastic."

"It feels like a family hotel. The owner and his wife live on one end of the house and the guests live on the other side. The whole atmosphere of the hotel is very warm, the rooms are clean, tidy and beautifully decorated. It really makes you feel like you are home. We stayed in a family room on the second floor, with a small courtyard in the back. The children happily built two snowmen in the back. The location of the hotel itself is right next to the highway. But it's not a main thoroughfare, so it's not noisy. Richard's Second Bedroom Manor, Edensol Town Bakewell, the main attractions in the wind area are all very close, within 15 minutes' drive. The slight drawback is that except for the Robin Hood Club restaurant it operates, there are no other shops around."
