Castle Inn by Greene King Inns

Staff were very pleasant and room clean and warm, however the room opened up onto the pavement. If we opened the door you could knock someone walking along. The room was also right next to the car park, great for dropping bags off. The blind for the window was not sufficient for the street light and kept us awake alongside the noise. Rooms are available above and are more part of the Inn. I would suggest asking for one of these if staying.

here is avery nice bar in the ground floor.Room is also nice and with enough space. Position is fantastic just close to the Bakewell Bridge. Easily for parking and walking aroind the town. One disadvantage is Here are some truks go through the bridge.So In the room it will be a little bit noisy.

Popped in to have a bite to eat and drinks . Service was excellent, friendly staff and manager . Food was delicious. Very clean . Hazy day . Be happy to visit again and again

When visiting Bakewell the Castle is always on our pub list to visit. It's always busy, but is a place with a nice relaxed atmosphere. We ordered some food with the assistance of Mary-Ann, who was brilliant. We both ordered pies and were not disappointed, they were spot on. Overall it was a great experience, good food, good beer at a reasonable price and served by great staff. Thanks Mary-Ann and the team, we'll be back.

Beware .. parked in the carpark for a drink and got a parking fine. Appealed as no clear signage on the tables that we needed to register car. Very disappointed as staff unable to assist with my appeal as said couldn’t provide cctv evidence that we were there even though sat near the cameras. Also said couldn’t get me a copy of the till receipt. Paid the £60 and disappointed I couldn’t get assistance as a genuine paying customer. Won’t be returning.

Great sleep, excellent breakfast, included, friendly staff. Excellent location. Not really any passing traffic noise either. Room a litle small but no problem. Would stay again. Definately!

Food was good all staff but one were friendly. Male member of staff was rude and offhand. Warning a can of coke was £4.15.

You cannot reserve a carpark place but we had no problem getting one whenever we returned after a day out. Room was great and even had a fan supplied for this hot spell food menu was good and our meals were great. Perfect base for visiting local area and lovely town and river walks for evening strolls.

This is a lovely pub and the food was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean but basic. The bed had crisp white sheets on and was comfy. I’d use it again for a one night stop over.
