This hotel is located at No. 16 Anban Street, offering an excellent location with a comprehensive range of amenities nearby, including large shopping malls, convenience stores, and numerous restaurants featuring Xi'an specialties. It's also very close to the Bell Tower and Drum Tower – just a short walk to the right after exiting the hotel. What's more, there's a direct bus to the Terracotta Warriors right downstairs, which is incredibly convenient. The hotel rooms are clean, and the service is great. Staying here was super convenient, with a subway entrance right outside – getting around was an absolute breeze and stress-free. The breakfast was a delightful surprise, featuring authentic Xi'an specialties. The Roujiamo (meat burger) tasted incredibly genuine, and the dry-tossed noodles (Saozi Mian) were delicious. The spread was also very rich, making for a truly satisfying meal. The front desk service was warm and attentive; check-in was efficient and thoughtful, and they even provided a city map. This was by far the best hotel I stayed at during my trip to Xi'an. I upgraded myself from the Sofitel to a Luxury Premier Room at the Sofitel Legend, and it was absolutely worth it. The room layout was well-designed, featuring two bathrooms and a separate walk-in closet. The amenities were exquisite, with high-quality towels and bath towels, and incredibly comfortable bedding. The room was also very well soundproofed, making for a peaceful stay. For breakfast, there was a great selection of buffet items and à la carte options. Most importantly, breakfast was a quiet and undisturbed experience. The butler service from Fancy, Erics, Aaron, and Leo was exceptional. They personally delivered all my food deliveries to the room, and whenever I returned to the hotel, they would greet me and even press the elevator button for me. I was thoroughly impressed. It truly lives up to its reputation as the top luxury hotel in the Sofitel collection. This will be my first choice for accommodation the next time I visit Xi'an.From€54

This hotel deserves a five-star review! It's located right in the heart of Jiefang Road, with direct access to the subway and easy transfers, making it incredibly convenient for visiting the City Wall, Bell Tower, and Yongxingfang. The lobby is grand and elegant, and check-in was efficient and quick. My room was spacious and bright, with complete facilities and amenities. The bedding was soft and comfortable against the skin, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep without any disturbances. The bathroom was clean and odor-free, with a wet and dry separation and a full set of toiletries. The overall hygiene was spotless. The hotel's amenities are comprehensive, including a gym and parking. The front desk service was prompt and responsive to all requests. Both the hardware quality and the soft service reflect a high star rating, offering exceptional value for money. Next time I'm in Xi'an, this will still be my top choice. I had a very satisfying stay at this hotel. The location is incredibly convenient; I could walk to all the niche attractions and photo spots, like Xiangzi Temple, Yongning Gate, and Defu Alley, without any trouble. The Star butler service was very thoughtful, providing all the hotel information I needed. Hotel is nicely located near Huiminjie @ Muslim Quater.
Everything about the stay was pleasant except for the wifi. The connection was extremely slow. I needed to get some work done, and in the end my hotspot worked much better.
Another issue was the centralised aircon system. During winter, it kept blowing warm air and the room felt quite suffocating. When I asked for help, the reception staff simply advised me to switch it off. Even with the aircon turned off, the room still felt stuffy.
For those arriving by Didi, use the hotel’s main address from drop-off. If you use the “allocated” address shown in the app, the driver may drop you far from the actual hotel entrance and you’ll have to navigate the rest on your own.
Overall, the stay was fine but these issues made it less comfortable than expected.From€23

This hotel boasts an excellent location. You can reach it directly by taking the 603 bus from Xi'an Railway Station and getting off at Xihua Gate. It's within walking distance of the Bell Tower and Muslim Quarter, and both transportation and dining options are incredibly convenient in the surrounding area.
I was very satisfied with the service attitude; check-in was swift, and they offered hot tea, which was especially warming on a cold winter day. The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a great separation of wet and dry areas. The room temperature was just right, not too hot. They also provided purified water dispensers in the hallways, elevators, and courtyard for guests to drink.
The breakfast was quite rich, featuring Shaanxi's specialty 'saozi noodles' (minced meat noodles), and the watermelon and dragon fruit were of good quality and very fresh. After eating, I discovered celery 'maifan' (steamed wheat rice with vegetables), and I tried some – it was delicious! I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Xi'an.From€22

Location: The hotel is located south of the city center. There's a bus stop right outside, making it quite convenient to get to the Bell Tower and Muslim Quarter.
Facilities: The lobby and reception area have an artistic vibe, showing a clear effort in creating a pleasant atmosphere. The mattress was great and comfortable, but the pillow was uncomfortable and gave me a stiff neck.
Cleanliness: It was alright. Everything being black made it hard to tell if it was dirty or clean.
Service: Make sure to use the 'Do Not Disturb' sign, otherwise, the staff will knock on your door early every morning, which is incredibly annoying. However, if you leave without pressing 'Make Up Room', it definitely won't get cleaned.
Also, the more expensive 'Superior King Room' is actually far less comfortable than the cheaper 'Comfort Deep Sleep Room'.
The last picture shows a rip-off tobacco shop in the Muslim Quarter. Avoid it at all costs! They charge double the price of outside shops, clearly targeting tourists!From€26

We stayed for two nights, checking in on Chinese New Year's Eve and checking out on the first day of the New Year. Driving was super convenient; it was a short drive off the ring road. The underground parking felt really upscale. All the hotel staff politely greeted us with 'Happy New Year.' Our room was quiet, spacious, bright, and clean. They had already made up the sofa bed, which was perfectly comfortable for one person. My only minor regret was that the executive room didn't have a smart toilet. Since my child is under 12, both breakfast and the lounge dinner were included, which was a great deal and solved our dining dilemma for the holiday. It was nice not to worry about food while we were out exploring. The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk from the TV Tower subway station, and there's also a bus stop very close by, which is handy.From€75

Although the decor is a bit dated, the room feels spacious with high ceilings. All the furniture is made of solid red oak, and the bathroom is entirely stone, which adds to the comfort. The front desk waived the mini-bar fee, which was a nice touch. The hotel's location is excellent, right across from the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, and the parking lot has fast charging stations, which is great for electric vehicles. The breakfast was plentiful and the price was good. I saw a 3-star review complaining about a simple breakfast – I wonder if they were an emperor in their past life! Staying at Wyndham during the Chinese New Year, we were greeted by an uncle dressed in Jinyiwei (Imperial Guard) attire who enthusiastically opened the door for us. A kind lady in a black suit then proactively guided us to check in, and the front desk attendant even gave us some Guoba (crispy rice snack). Although there was a minor issue with the room initially, it was quickly resolved. In fact, there were many wonderful and enthusiastic hotel staff, like Kiko, Zhao Jiaxi, Liu Ye, housekeeping staff Wang Ni, and many other unnamed service personnel who were all excellent. Every staff member we encountered would proactively greet us and were always ready to answer any questions. The breakfast was also very generous with a wide variety of options, including many Xi'an specialties, and the restaurant service was excellent. Plus, the hotel is right next to the Grand Tang Everbright City, allowing us to get there before the crowds. However, there were some minor drawbacks, such as the mattress being too soft, which wasn't ideal for my back pain, and the pillows lacking resilience, causing neck discomfort after prolonged sleep. Selected Dessert Mystery Box (delivery time 21:00-21:30, please be patient during peak hours like weekends and holidays): This was a bit disappointing, as shown in picture 8.
Facilities: I've stayed here many times, and this time I specifically chose a game room because my child wanted to play. Coincidentally, it was the same room we stayed in before! The environment is always good, and soaking in the hot springs is very convenient. This year, they even added safety railings to the hallways, which is a thoughtful touch.

I rarely leave reviews, but today I'm making an exception to give everyone a reference. I've had the Huaqing Yutang Hot Spring Hotel on my radar for a long time, and I finally visited this week – it was absolutely worth the trip.
First, the location: it's inside the Huaqing Pool 5A scenic area. This is a five-star hotel with five-star service. You get to enjoy the same hot spring water as the imperial concubines! I tried the private bath; it was well-sanitized, the water quality was excellent, and bathing was incredibly comfortable and relaxing. Sipping on the snow pear and tremella soup provided by the hotel made it even more delightful!
Next, staying at the hotel includes unlimited access to Huaqing Pool, which is a fantastic value. We also used the complimentary travel photography service provided by the hotel to take photos in the scenic area – the results were stunning! The travel photography is definitely a major bonus for this hotel. The makeup artist was quick and skilled, and the photographer's follow-up shots were superb. The final photos were as good as those from a professional studio! We received three complimentary photos, all beautiful, and I even purchased a few more to keep as a lovely souvenir for my family. Thumbs up to the photography team!
Finally, let's talk about the hotel facilities: free parking and a shuttle service that comes whenever you call – how many hotels can offer that? The interior decor of the hotel is excellent. There's a book bar with high-quality books; I was amazed to find a complete set of 'Jieziyuan Huapu' (The Mustard Seed Garden Manual of Painting) there. This truly is a quality vacation!

I stayed in the Qingtong six-person room, a single-family villa, recommended. It has two floors. The living room on the first floor has a sofa and TV, a bedroom with a bathroom, a kitchen and a small dining room with a refrigerator and water dispenser, and a large outdoor dining table. Next to the dining table is an outdoor pool. There is an indoor pool next to the living room. On the second floor are two bedrooms with bathrooms and a mahjong room. There is nothing to say about the facilities. You can add hot spring water by yourself at any time. You can go to the big garden at any time. There is Xiaoyu Hot Spring there with more pools. And when there are many people, it is no problem to sleep two people on the sofa in the living room. You can ask for extra quilt. Returning to Beijing from Sanya, my child insisted on a detour to the Xi'an W. This isn't the first time; we were the ones who flew here specifically for a roujiamo last year. I wouldn't say it's unprecedented, but getting stuck in a 12-hour traffic jam on the sixth day of Chinese New Year just for a plain bun, I imagine ancient people and future generations would find that quite rare too. We finally arrived at the hotel at 10 PM after being stuck all day, exhausted and starving. The hotel's room service was quick and convenient, and a hot bath washed away all the day's fatigue and bad mood. There was no way we were leaving after just one meal; we had to let the kids eat for at least two days. Then, on the seventh day, we were treated to an amazing snowfall. We didn't go anywhere, stayed for two days, and ate five roujiamos. Please, whatever you do, don't change the chef at the breakfast area who makes the roujiamo – my daughter says she wants to come back again in the summer! 😞From€150

This was my first stay at the Sofitel Legend Xi'an, the only Sofitel Legend property in mainland China under Accor's luxury brand. The hotel boasts an excellent location at 319 Dongxin Street, Xincheng District, Xi'an, close to many historical sites like the Bell Tower. The People's Mansion complex at 319 Dongxin Street houses four hotels: Sofitel Legend Xi'an, Sofitel Xi'an on Renmin Square, Grand Mercure Xi'an on Renmin Square, and Mercure Xi'an on Renmin Square. The surrounding area is well-equipped with amenities, making transportation incredibly convenient.
After the founding of New China in 1949, to meet the needs of official foreign接待, the Xi'an People's Mansion was established in 1953 in the ancient capital of Xi'an. It was then the largest, best-equipped, and highest-standard foreign affairs guesthouse in the Northwest region, initiated and overseen by the leaders of the Northwest Military and Political Committee. In the early 21st century, with the deepening of reform and opening-up and the flourishing tourism industry, under the unified leadership of Shaanxi Investment Group Co., Ltd., the People's Mansion entrusted Accor Group Hotel Management Company to professionally operate and manage the hotel cluster within the complex. Significant funds were invested, initiating a continuous upgrade and renovation project that lasted over ten years. This ultimately resulted in the creation of Mercure, Grand Mercure, Sofitel, and the fifth and only Sofitel Legend hotel in the world located in China.
To the east is the Sofitel International Convention and Exhibition Center, which officially opened after 2000. This center features a pillar-less grand ballroom, 11 multi-functional meeting rooms, and a specialty Chinese restaurant. To the west is the Sofitel People's Theater. The theater, built in 1954, was renovated and upgraded after 2000, becoming an important venue for political and cultural activities in Shaanxi Province and even the entire Northwest region. From 1953 to 1974, the People's Mansion was not open to the public, with its main entrance guarded by Chinese People's Liberation Army soldiers, conveying both a sense of solemn strictness and an intriguing mystery of that era. In 2014, Building 1 of Xi'an People's Mansion completed its refurbishment. Building 1 of the People's Mansion stands in the heart of the ancient capital, carrying the city's glorious memories since 1953. It once served as an important venue for receiving state guests, and has now been magnificently transformed into the Sofitel Legend Xi'an, retaining its historical heritage while exuding a new brilliance of French elegance and contemporary luxury.
The Sofitel Legend Xi'an embodies luxury that is never ostentatious; it is subtly hidden in meticulously crafted details. We firmly believe that true respect goes beyond magnificent spaces and lies in a refined response to lifestyle.
The Sofitel Legend hotel has eight floors. The basement houses the spa, the ground floor features the lobby, with the front desk on the left, along with a swimming pool, a museum, a fitness center, and the Roman Holiday Italian Restaurant. The second floor offers meeting rooms and a business center.
The hotel offers four types of suites: a 61 sqm Premier Suite, a 98 sqm Luxury Premier Suite, a 133 sqm Imperial Suite, and a 183 sqm Chang'an Suite.
The 61 sqm Premier Suite is well-designed, with a quiet and comfortable room and fresh, pleasant air. Upon entering, there's a living room with a minibar, followed by the bedroom. Beyond the bedroom, there's a bathtub and a separate wet and dry bathroom with a shower.
The hotel staff were professional and enthusiastic. During check-in, they proactively introduced nearby attractions and transportation routes – highly recommended!From€173

And I absolutely have to rave about the hotel's buffet restaurant – I loved it so much, the food was delicious! The breakfast selection is massive, so much so that you can't possibly try everything. The Roujiamo (meat burger) was fantastic, and they even had Japanese-style onsen eggs, which was a delightful surprise. Here's a review of my recent stay:
1. **Pre-Arrival Contact:** No one contacted me before my arrival.
2. **Butler Service:** This hotel doesn't offer butler service.
3. **Kids' Breakfast:** When checking in, I asked the front desk if they could provide a complimentary children's breakfast, but they couldn't.
4. **Hotel WeChat:** I asked the front desk if the hotel had a WeChat account. They informed me that they don't use WeChat for communication and that guests should call the front desk for any inquiries.
5. **New Year's Eve Dinner:** We booked the New Year's Eve dinner for 2888 RMB. The value for money was just so-so, but I guess that's expected for a holiday. They did have a raffle, and it seemed like everyone won a prize, which made up for the value issue a bit.
6. **Post-Departure Contact:** Someone finally sent a message to check in after I had already left.
7. **Executive Lounge:** The executive lounge was quite good, but everything else was just average.
8. **Management Presence:** While having dinner, I saw the restaurant manager. During the day, I also saw the Director of Rooms on the first floor. It seemed like all the other senior executives might have been on holiday!
9. **Stay Duration:** We spent four days and three nights in Xi'an for New Year's and stayed at this hotel for three nights.
10. **Breakfast:** I didn't eat breakfast, so I can't comment on it. My child ate my portion. I don't usually eat breakfast anyway, so whether or not a complimentary children's breakfast was offered wasn't a big deal for me.
11. **Comparison with Other Hotels:** My next destination is Kunming, and I'm staying at a Four Points by Sheraton. Even before arriving, the reservations staff actively contacted me, which is a stark contrast to the Ritz-Carlton Xi'an, where no one bothered to reach out.
12. **Location:** The hotel is located in the high-tech zone. Although there's a subway station right outside, it's quite a distance from the city center, so we had to take taxis everywhere.
13. **Nearby Amenities:** There's a shopping mall next to the hotel, and a Starbucks can be found by exiting through the back door on the first floor.
14. **Future Stays:** For someone who only stays at the Ritz, I'd probably stay here again next time. Otherwise, I might consider newer hotels like newly opened Courtyards, Element Hotels, or Marriotts. Newly opened Courtyards are usually quite good!From€139

Breakfast was decent, and all the staff, though a bit older, were exceptionally friendly.From€24

Man Xin Changanli Hotel Xi'an Bell tower was a gorgeous and modern hotel. The room was beautifully designed in warm colors and there was plenty of seating area--including a cute little tatami sitting area. The windows were floor-to-ceiling, with automatic curtains that move with a slight tug. The staff were very friendly. The view outside the window is an interesting picture of the city wall, but it wasn't very pretty--just the brick wall and little bit of the events on the top. The beds were too firm for me, but I'm used to softer beds. My friend said it was fine for her though.
Despite how beautiful the room is, I would not stay there again. The temperature in the room would not go below 29c, even with the air conditioner turned on. When asked if they could come fix the A/C, the staff said this room was more ”natural” and people don't really use it, so there wasn't anything they could do. We had to open the windows to keep cool. Additionally, the air conditioner was so loud that when I first heard it, I thought someone was rolling a cart down the cobblestones outside the hotel window. It was almost as loud as the construction happening directly outside our window.
Speaking of the construction, it didn't start until 7 or 8 pm at night and went through until 3-4am. Couldn’t close the window without turning the room into a hotbox, so it was extremely noisy between the sounds of the machinery and the workers shouting over it. I'm a light sleeper, so it was nearly impossible to sleep.
Between the heat, the noise from the air conditioner, and the noise from the construction, I got almost no sleep during my three day stay. So it's a lovely hotel, but it's too noisy and uncomfortable.From€47
