One word. Excellent. Marvellous customer service. Service orientated hotel. Location is good too as it’s located exactly at nanjing pedestrian street with access to metro line 2. Special credit to Justin Wu during my check in. Fast check in and voluntarily upgraded us even without us requesting. Kudos for great attentive attitude. We were also given late check out as my flight back is late at night. Appreciate his understanding. Smooth check out process too especially with a sweet young beautiful lady named starry cui. Can converse well in English too. Gave us a complimentary plushie which makes a great memorable gift. Will definitely stay in crowne plaza if I am to drop by Shanghai again

This year, we decided to book our New Year's Eve dinner at the Radisson, and to save ourselves the hassle of traveling back and forth, we decided to stay there as well. JUDY called me a day in advance to ask about my room preferences, which eased my anxiety and built up my anticipation for the stay. We booked a Deluxe Suite, facing south towards People's Park, offering a really great view. The room was very tidy, with a living room and bedroom, and a standard double bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub, but no bidet. Although the hotel isn't new, it's clear that the room facilities are very well-maintained. The shower brand is Radisson's own, and it worked quite well. Room service is also worth mentioning; their response time was very quick, and they offered turndown service. We also received complimentary welcome fruits. The hotel's location is excellent. You don't even need to go outside to access New World City directly, making shopping and dining very convenient. We had lunch on the 8th and 9th floors of New World City for the past few days. Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street is right outside. On New Year's Eve, we went to Nanjing Road and the Bund, experiencing Shanghai's New Year's atmosphere up close, which was a rare treat. The breakfast was very plentiful, and I was pleasantly surprised to find my favorite crystal cakes. The lack of free parking was a bit unexpected. While it might be due to the location, other hotels I've stayed at recently, like the Conrad and Peace Hotel, also have excellent locations but offer free parking. However, the parking garage entrance is very narrow, and the turns are quite tight, which could be challenging for less-skilled drivers. So, it's probably best not to drive if you can avoid it. This was my first stay at a Radisson Group hotel, and it left a very positive impression on me.

The hotel's location is excellent, right outside Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, making transportation, shopping, and dining incredibly convenient. The hotel's environment and cleanliness are also great. I first stayed at this Ascott property shortly after it opened and had a great impression. The location is even better than their Beijing branch, right off Huaihai Road and Xintiandi. Over ten years later, I brought my wife and child back for another stay. I was a bit hesitant given the lower online ratings, but felt compelled to revisit. I suppose overseas Chinese and foreigners tend to prefer this type of serviced apartment more. I believe this consumption habit and concept will become more prevalent in China in another twenty to thirty years. I was pleased with the complimentary suite upgrade from the front desk, but disappointed with only getting a single breakfast. Thankfully, Trip.com honored my request. The breakfast was quite simple, but for an international serviced apartment, it's understandable.

This hotel is centrally located, right above People's Square Metro Station. It's super close to Nanjing Road, The Bund, Shanghai Museum, Natural History Museum, and Yu Garden, making it incredibly convenient for family trips exploring the city. The twin beds in the room were perfect for families with kids. A special shout-out to Manager Xiao Ma at the front desk – his service was incredibly warm and efficient. He helped us with a room upgrade and even gave our child a little bear charm when we checked out! 👍👍👍

The hotel was easy enough to find for a hotel the has a reception on the 4th floor and no signage out front. The location is prime for access to the pedestrian road. Lots of sightseeing and shopping in this area. Short drive to all the key tourist hotspots. Beds were comfortable, staff were great to foreigners like us, breakfast was fine. The only thing of notes was we had no luck using the dryers and resorted to hanging out our clothes in our room. But this is a minor issue and may be operator error. We would stay at the Yitel premium again.

The location is superb and incredibly convenient. The service is warm and friendly, and the staff's attitude is excellent. It's a vintage hotel with a touch of Shanghainese charm. They were incredibly responsive to all my needs; whether it was the cleaning staff on my floor or the service staff in the executive lounge, everyone provided immense help during my stay! I highly recommend this old-school hotel. While the facilities are a bit dated, they are very well-maintained. It's also worth noting that some floors are undergoing renovation, so you might want to inquire about that before checking in. Oh, and you absolutely must try the breakfast; it's really delicious, especially the scallion pancake with egg!

This was my first time staying at this hotel, and I have to give the Pullman Shanghai Jing'an a full five stars! What impressed me the most was the attentive and professional service. The front desk staff were patient and thoughtful, proactively offering travel tips. When I accidentally left something behind, they handled it with care and helped me retrieve it quickly, which was incredibly reassuring. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained with new facilities. Breakfast was abundant and delicious, and the common areas were quiet and stylish. Despite being in the heart of the central business district, it was surprisingly peaceful. Both the hardware quality and the soft services were impeccable, truly making you feel at home. It's my top choice for hotels in Shanghai, and I highly recommend it to everyone. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I have the opportunity!

The hotel’s location is very good. It is about a 5-minute walk to a huge Starbucks, Nanjing West Road, the MRT station, and Wujiang Road, which has several nice bakeries and food options. This made getting around very convenient. There was also a 7-11 just across the road. However, the Premier Two-Bedroom Suite was disappointing for the price paid. The rooms are rather small, especially the master bedroom, where there was not enough space to place or open any luggage. We had to keep our luggage in the living room instead. The bathroom, particularly the shower area, looked very dated. The tiles appeared old and there was a musty smell, which was unpleasant. Another inconvenience was that the light switches were only on one side of the bed, making it very inconvenient to switch off the lights from the other side. The kitchenette was also very small. Cutlery was stored in a drawer above the bin, which was not ideal, and there were no extra plates provided. The tiles looked old with visible cracks, and some of the drawers were faulty. Overall, the room did not feel premium and felt overpriced for what was offered. The hotel rooms clearly need a glow-up to match the Kempinski brand and the rates charged. Additionally, the reception area was undergoing renovation, with no seating or waiting area. The pick-up and drop-off driveway is very narrow, only a small lane. When loading our luggage, we had to do so very quickly as other cars were waiting. The driveway would benefit from being more spacious. While the location is excellent, the room condition, layout, and facilities did not meet expectations for a Premier suite.

The hotel service was excellent, from the front desk to the manager and room service – everyone was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Our room offered stunning views of Pudong's 'three-piece suite' (referring to the iconic skyscrapers) and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. The location is unbeatable, just a stone's throw away from Yu Garden and Chenghuang Temple. It was so convenient, we visited daily! We were lucky enough to catch the Chinese New Year lantern festival, and entering before 2 PM meant free admission to see the lanterns. Yu Garden and Chenghuang Temple truly encapsulate the essence of Shanghai's culture. Staying at a hotel just steps away meant we didn't have to wait an hour for a taxi back, which was incredibly convenient. Seriously. The front desk even offered special White Rabbit milk candies, which were a huge hit with both local and international guests.

Big shout out to the housekeeping staff! The coffee machine was broken, and two of them actively helped me sort it out. Now, for the breakfast department, I have a big complaint! 😡 Because I had an early train to catch the next day, I specifically ordered a takeaway breakfast the night before. But when I got to the station, bumpy ride and all, I opened the breakfast bag and was speechless. Inside was a bruised pear, a cup of black coffee, and three identical, dry croissants! Even McDonald's knows to pack sugar and milk with coffee – do you five-star hotels not? With so many Western and Chinese options for breakfast, I only get three stale croissants? No fresh fruit? Guests are expected to eat fruit that's almost rotten?! I've stayed at many five-star hotels, and this packed breakfast quality is even worse than a Hampton Inn! 😤😠🤬

The hotel's facilities, brand philosophy, and service quality don't effectively convey its brand identity. The target audience positioning is unclear, and the follow-up customer service experience was terrible. **Facilities:** Felt pretty average. The hardware is generally good, and you can tell what the layout was like when it was built, but the room design and layout are relatively traditional and a bit outdated. The bathtub 🛁 was a terrible experience; yellow rusty water gushed out of the tap... I was startled and it felt unpleasant. The bed felt like it was pieced together, higher in the middle and lower on the sides, making it very uncomfortable to sleep on. The worst part was the pillows; they offered no neck support whatsoever, leading to a very poor sleep experience. The air conditioning couldn't be automatically adjusted, only within a range of about 2 degrees. **Cleanliness:** Clean. **Environment:** Average. The view isn't attractive to those familiar with Shanghai and the Huangpu River. **Service:** The worst aspect. From the front desk and lobby coffee shop to breakfast and check-out service, the experience was quite poor. It felt like the hotel staff lacked professional training. This doesn't compare to the Grand Hyatt, let alone the service at star-rated hotels in Tokyo or Seoul, or international hotels on premier island resorts. For example, some services required follow-up, but the staff would just disappear after speaking, with no subsequent follow-up. This felt bad. Breakfast service was terrible, lacking clear instructions and care for special needs guests (some guests have specific dietary requirements, such as food allergies or fitness enthusiasts). When making an omelet, the staff didn't ask about customer preferences at all or explain potential options. After making it, they looked annoyed and said, ”You should have said something earlier.” So, what level of service is it when an omelet chef at a top island resort smiles and asks, ”How would you like your egg cooked?” Or is it that the Shangri-La simply isn't capable of providing such service? A very bad experience! There was no proper queueing system at breakfast; I was clearly first in line, but the eggs were given to an elderly lady? **Check-out:** 1. I asked, ”What do you do if something is damaged?” The staff replied, ”It's fine. The hotel makes enough money, it's not a big deal.” 2. The bill was calculated incorrectly! I only ordered breakfast for one day, but the front desk charged me for two. The staff were generally unprofessional and very impatient... (including their smiles, attitude, and necessary service explanations). **Gym:** Acceptable. **Summary:** Highly doubtful about staying here again.

This hotel is located by the Suzhou River, offering a tranquil escape. It's right next to the Suzhou River half-marathon route, which is where I often take my kids cycling. Since I stayed during Chinese New Year, the hotel was bustling and lively. My husband and I had planned to join the Baduanjin (a form of Qigong) class, but it was so crowded that we gave up halfway through. If it were less busy on a normal day, it would probably be a wonderful place to relax. I noticed something interesting during breakfast: the young lady who gave me a spa massage last night was making coffee this morning! The hotel's design is thoughtful in every detail, and the staff are all very charming. They proactively offered us a complimentary one-hour late checkout, which was a nice touch! Personally, I wasn't particularly interested in the various health teas and soups provided in the room, but I have to admit, this kind of wellness-focused amenity would appeal to many people. The hot spring facilities were also quite clean. Overall, the hotel maintains a high standard of hygiene. As for dining, the executive lounge was quite ordinary, especially in the afternoon. Next time, I plan to try the Spanish restaurant located within the hot springs area.

I stayed at the Yuansu Hot Spring Hotel in Shanghai for three days with my mother, enjoying the private hot springs – it was wonderfully warm. Each room has its own private hot spring, offering excellent privacy. We didn't have to share with anyone, which made it very relaxing and comfortable. The warm, steamy baths really chased away the winter chill. My mother found it very comfortable and relaxing, and she was at ease the whole time. We also paid an extra 699 RMB to try on kimonos. The staff member assisting us was a wonderful woman, an expert in cosplay and a Sagittarius sister! She patiently helped us dress and style our hair. The bows she tied were incredibly beautiful, and the braided hairstyle was adorable. I love the butterfly-themed ambiance, and every photo we took in the courtyard looked like a perfect Japanese-style shot. The service was exceptionally thoughtful. The front desk lady was warm and polite, the cleaning staff were meticulous, and the gentleman serving breakfast was handsome and reserved. Every detail showed great care. Without leaving Shanghai, we were able to experience the tranquil elegance of Kyoto – a quiet escape in the bustling city, gently healing this winter. These three slow-paced days combined companionship with comfort, making it a super-healing city getaway for the winter.

Had a truly rejuvenating stay at Shanghai Million Stone Onsen Hotel, it felt like a trip to Japan! The hotel is perfectly located within the Disney Resort, and just across the road from Shanghai Village outlet mall. The entire hotel boasts an authentic Japanese style, with tranquil and elegant dry landscape gardens. Our room featured traditional tatami mats and underfloor heating, making it cozy and comfortable. The real highlight was the hotel's 'Gokurakuyu' hot spring, which draws real thermal water from underground and is exclusively for guests, ensuring a peaceful and uncrowded experience. After a long day exploring Disneyland, soaking in the hot spring melted all our fatigue away. Coupled with a professional scrub massage from the aunties at the hot spring area, it was pure bliss. The hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle service to and from Disneyland, which is super convenient whether you're driving or flying in. The breakfast was plentiful, with delicious and authentic Japanese dishes. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next Disney trip!

The hotel room facilities are good, with everything that should be there. The smoking area outside is also very beautiful. The breakfast in the morning is very good, it is self-service, and there are freshly made noodles to eat. If you are thirsty, you can go downstairs at any time to have some drinks and fruits, which are all included in the hotel package. Why the deduction? Like many reviews wrote, the water in the pool here is really too hot. It is the hottest of all the hot springs in Shanghai that I have been to. It feels too hot. I saw that several children could hardly soak in the water for a while. I don’t know why so many people complained. I saw that the management was still saying in the comments that it met the hot spring temperature requirements. What they said is that your water is too hot, and they are giving you suggestions. Everyone in the hot spring said that the water was hot, not that you violated any regulations... It takes talent to reply like this

Overall Experience: My stay was defined by a feeling of tranquil escape. The hotel's greatest strength is its atmosphere. Being in a historic building tucked away in a quiet, leafy neighborhood just off the famous Nanjing Road created a perfect balance. I could easily walk to the buzz and shopping, but returned each time to a serene, garden-filled sanctuary. It felt more like a peaceful retreat than a standard city hotel. Service: The service was consistently attentive and polite. Staff were professional and quick to help with requests. The check-in and check-out process was smooth. While the service wasn't overly familiar, it was reliably good and matched the hotel's calm, understated style. I felt well taken care of. This is my second time staying at this hotel, and I highly recommend it. First off, I arrived early in the afternoon, and my booked room wasn't ready yet. Jasmine Sun at the front desk was incredibly thoughtful and upgraded me to a suite, which was fantastic! The room was huge, with a separate bedroom, living room, and a spacious bathroom. It had everything you could ask for: a refrigerator, hairdryer, large wardrobe, and even a scale. It was a very comfortable stay. Secondly, the hotel is very close to the core area of Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. You can walk to Shen Dacheng, First Food Store, and many other key shops in just five to ten minutes. Additionally, the hotel offers complimentary executive lounge access (perhaps due to my booking). It's been over 20 years since my last stay, and the experience was even better this time. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by enthusiastic staff who opened the doors. Check-in was orderly and efficient. The room was clean and a good size, and the facilities were well-maintained, clearly having been renovated. Requests for extra pillows and other amenities were promptly fulfilled. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to fully explore the public facilities. On my check-out day, it was raining, and the concierge had plenty of umbrellas available for loan. Overall, the service was very comfortable – warm and genuine, not artificial. She even upgraded us to an Executive Lounge room type. Upon arrival, she helped us coordinate our room, and when we found the TV couldn't screen mirror, she brought us an extra mirroring device. She truly paid attention to our needs and helped us resolve issues. However, the service was a bit hit-or-miss. The front desk staff who checked us in not only failed to assign us the room that the butler had secured for us but also disregarded our request for a Pearl Tower view, assigning us a room in the East Building with a Bund view. Then, she self-importantly declared, ”Please trust my taste.” But a service person's taste should not outweigh a customer's needs. This front desk staff member might lack the most basic respect for customer requirements. I stayed at the Andaz Hotel with my parents during the Chinese New Year holiday. Although the decor is a bit dated due to the hotel's age, the meticulous upkeep and cleaning still made for a very pleasant stay. I absolutely loved the full set of Byredo's Eleventh Hour toiletries provided in the room – they're unique, not overly common, and show great taste! The only minor drawback was that the smart control buttons in the room were a bit old and not very responsive, making it slightly less convenient than when I stayed a few years ago. Also, the TV is old, and watching the Spring Festival Gala and Winter Olympics felt a bit anachronistic, I hope they can improve this in the future! All the hotel staff (including the front desk, restaurant, room service, housekeeping, security, concierge, etc.) were very dedicated and had excellent service attitudes, promptly responding to any requests. I especially want to commend the staff who cleaned room 2505 on 2/18 during check-out; they found a piece of jewelry that my elderly parent had lost, and my parent specifically asked me to give them a good review and thanks! On the morning of the second day of Chinese New Year, there was also a lion dance performance that toured the restaurant and took photos with guests. So close to perfection.... So close. I have been putting off staying at this hotel for years, and that is a regret. This hotel is amazing. Location, Great. Staff, friendly. Beds, comfortable. 24 hour room service, fantastic. Bidet toilet seat, amazing. For the price, this hotel is a steal. Better service and better rooms than hotels that are double the price. My biggest problem. The bathtub is too small. It looks big, but for a 190cm guy, it's just way way too small. Looks big in pictures... Not in reality. They probably have bigger tubs in different rooms (maybe executive or suites). I will contact them before booking again to make sure tub is big. The pool is great. The Sauna and steam room in the changing rooms are great. I do wish there was a jacuzzi or some hot pool... Either in the gendered changing rooms or by the pool. Recommendations: the bathrobes are small, get some plus sized ones. More coffee in the room, 2 pods aren't enough. More water in rooms, 4 small bottles aren't enough. Allow cooling during winter, I know it's not easy, but many expats don't want 25° rooms. Finally... For room service. EGGS BENEDICT!!!! You already have a good room service breakfast menu... But you need eggs Benedict. I judge hotels room service based on club sandwiches. This club sandwich was mid tier. Not bad, not fantastic. Granted I ordered the late night club sandwich. Maybe there is a difference. But this is the same with all of the other room service food I ordered. Good. Just a few steps away from great. But super happy there is a 24hr menu! Next time I stay I will experiment with regular hours food vs late night. In all. This hotel is amazing! Definitely will stay again. Just hopefully I can get a bigger bathtub next time.

Stayed at the InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland, also known as the 'Deep Pit Hotel,' during 'Xiao Nian' (Minor New Year). Located 88 meters below ground, it's a truly unique architectural marvel, recognized as one of the world's top ten architectural wonders – a definite must-see! The check-in process was incredibly smooth; we were able to get into our room before 12 PM. Every bed in the room faces the deep pit, and the balcony is spacious. From there, you can see a waterfall, a pool of water at the bottom of the pit, and the Ferris wheel, skywalk, and bungee jumping at the Deep Pit Shimao Wonderland amusement park across the way. You can even lie in bed and enjoy the waterfall view. The room amenities are excellent, with a shower and bathtub, and a well-designed wet/dry separation. Overall, the facilities are top-notch, and the breakfast is plentiful. The real-time cliff light and shadow show at night is particularly impressive and spectacular. Drawing inspiration from the 'Classic of Mountains and Seas,' it showcases unique oriental mythical stories. The butler service was outstanding. I lost my ID when I visited the Wonderland park the day before, and our butler, Bruce, was incredibly proactive in helping me search for it. He found it the very next day, which was a huge help. Many thanks to Butler Bruce!

[”The hotel's location is fantastic, just a 6-7 minute walk to the subway station! The room was clean and bright, and the bedding was incredibly soft, truly like sleeping on a cloud. The front desk staff were so thoughtful, even providing a guide to local eateries. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time!”,”The room was even more spacious than the photos indicated. The bathroom had excellent wet/dry separation and was impeccably clean. The breakfast selection was incredibly diverse, and the freshly prepared noodles were especially fragrant and tasty. We had an exceptionally comfortable stay!”]

Extremely clean and tidy, with fantastic value for money! The room was spotless and odor-free, the bedding was soft and super comfortable, and the bathroom's wet/dry separation was a thoughtful touch. The front desk service was warm and attentive, making check-in and check-out incredibly fast. The surrounding area has convenient transportation, making it easy to find food and go shopping. The overall experience exceeded my expectations; I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm here. Highly recommended!

This hotel is perfectly suited to my taste. The lobby is predominantly decorated in black and red, with even the glass panels featuring a red tint. The lobby area is incredibly spacious, boasting many distinct seating zones, which made me feel like I could spend an entire day just lounging there. The hotel is conveniently located right next to a large shopping mall, MixC City, offering a wide array of dining, shopping, and entertainment options. Plus, it's just a few subway stops from either the train station or the airport. Getting to the hotel from Ziteng Road Metro Station: exit and enter the shopping mall through its main illuminated entrance. For the most straightforward path, *before* you reach the pedestrian street of the metro commercial area, follow the signs to take the elevator up to the second floor. From there, walk through the parking lot between Buildings A and B, and you'll arrive directly at the hotel, with no stairs to navigate. Overall, I feel the hotel's marketing efforts are insufficient. This hidden gem truly deserves to be discovered by more people.
