They upgraded me to a modern king room when I checked in, so I'm giving it five stars. However, the hotel itself does have an issue: the building is quite old. But this modern king room was very new and clean. The standard room type I stayed in last time was older, so I'd recommend booking this room type if you're staying here. The location is excellent; it's not far from Nanjing Road, the Bund, or Jing'an. I was mainly there to see a musical, and this hotel is right across from the Asia Building, so it couldn't be more convenient!

Stayed at the Radisson Blu with a friend, and a big shoutout to Oliver for his incredible patience and for answering all our questions during check-in. Our experience was fantastic! He fulfilled our request for a high floor and a quiet room, and even upgraded us, which was amazing – the views and ambiance were superb. We also dined at the revolving restaurant on the 45th floor; the staff there were so warm and friendly, and their service was excellent. The scenery and food were both wonderful. I'll definitely be bringing my parents here next time!

The location is unbeatable, right downstairs is the pedestrian street. A big thanks to Nina at the front desk who upgraded me to a high-floor room with a fantastic view. The breakfast was a rich and delicious mix of Western and Chinese options. The staff were all warm, polite, and provided excellent service. I even met a lovely staff member in the elevator who gave me a small souvenir. All in all, a really great experience that I'd be happy to recommend to friends.

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the Line 1 South Huangpi Road metro station, near the site of the First National Congress of the CPC and with many restaurants in Xintiandi. The front desk service is efficient, warm, and polite, and room service is quick to respond. The two-bedroom layout is a great choice for families with children.

I rarely leave reviews, but this place was truly terrible. The room was small and the service was poor. Amenities: The room's amenities were quite old. Only one side of the bed had a charging port, there was no smart toilet, and both the sink and bathtub were tiny. The room only came with two bottles of water, and you had to call for more. Sometimes, the service line went unanswered. Service: I stayed for two nights, and my room was never cleaned, nor were the toiletries restocked, even though I had the 'please make up room' sign on the door. When I returned to my room at 9 PM, I had to call staff to bring fresh towels.

The room was very clean, and the location was excellent – right in the heart of the city, yet surprisingly quiet. It's on the bustling Huaihai Road, but the hotel's garden is a peaceful oasis. Even in winter without flowers, the green lawn was charming. When a friend couldn't find their camera battery as we were leaving, we entrusted the duty manager with the task. To my surprise, two hours later, the manager messaged me: 'Our floor supervisor has thoroughly checked the room, including drawers and under the bed, but unfortunately, we couldn't locate the camera battery. We apologize for the inconvenience. - Duty Manager, Garden Hotel.' Their dedication and responsible attitude were truly impressive. I will definitely stay at the Garden Hotel again next time. I had a wonderful stay at the Conrad Shanghai. The hotel is beautifully maintained, and the overall atmosphere is both elegant and comfortable. I would especially like to express my sincere appreciation to Ivy, who made my stay truly exceptional. She was incredibly attentive, warm, and professional, always going the extra mile to ensure everything was perfect. Her kindness and dedication left a lasting impression on me. I would also like to thank the rest of the team for their excellent service. Kylie, who assisted me during check-in, made the process smooth and welcoming. Quain-G was very professional and helpful, and Lily kindly assisted me during check-out, making my departure just as pleasant as my arrival. The hotel’s location is very good. It is about a 5-minute walk to a huge Starbucks, Nanjing West Road, the MRT station, and Wujiang Road, which has several nice bakeries and food options. This made getting around very convenient. There was also a 7-11 just across the road. However, the Premier Two-Bedroom Suite was disappointing for the price paid. The rooms are rather small, especially the master bedroom, where there was not enough space to place or open any luggage. We had to keep our luggage in the living room instead. The bathroom, particularly the shower area, looked very dated. The tiles appeared old and there was a musty smell, which was unpleasant. Another inconvenience was that the light switches were only on one side of the bed, making it very inconvenient to switch off the lights from the other side. The kitchenette was also very small. Cutlery was stored in a drawer above the bin, which was not ideal, and there were no extra plates provided. The tiles looked old with visible cracks, and some of the drawers were faulty. Overall, the room did not feel premium and felt overpriced for what was offered. The hotel rooms clearly need a glow-up to match the Kempinski brand and the rates charged. Additionally, the reception area was undergoing renovation, with no seating or waiting area. The pick-up and drop-off driveway is very narrow, only a small lane. When loading our luggage, we had to do so very quickly as other cars were waiting. The driveway would benefit from being more spacious. While the location is excellent, the room condition, layout, and facilities did not meet expectations for a Premier suite.

The hotel is conveniently located near YuYuan Garden, and also just 10 minutes on foot from the Bund area. From the nearby Subway Station 豫园 you can take line 10 and 14 to quickly get to other famous attractions in Shanghai. The hotel itself offers a good service, very friendly and helpful staff, as well as stylish interior design. The room was big and comfortable, with a great view over the city. The hotel provides free drinks and snacks from the Minibar and also on one day a fruit platter surprise from roomservice. The room was clean, the furniture in decent condition, though not brand new anymore. The hotel didn’t provide toothbrush or toothpaste, and the hairdryer was also a bit outdated. All in all we had a great time in Shanghai and would come to this hotel again.

Even though I only stayed at the Hyatt Centric Shanghai Bund for one night this time, I found its location to be excellent. It's about a 15-minute walk to the Bund, which is super convenient for sightseeing and other errands. It's also very close to Bailan Plaza and Joy City Jing'an, just a short walk away. Check-in was very efficient. The room itself was very clean, tidy, and spacious, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. The room also came with a built-in Xiao Du (smart assistant) and a smart toilet, both of which were very useful and modern. Overall, my stay was extremely comfortable. The staff here were also very proactive in helping me take my luggage to the room, and they even extended my check-out time to 2 PM, which was excellent service. It's also very close to the North Bund, just a ten-minute walk. There's a bar on the 16th floor of the hotel with a beautiful night view. I'm looking forward to staying here again next time!

Very spacious room and bathroom. With huge windows and a view of the city. I had to wait quite a while to get the key of my room but it was worth the wait. It can be complex in the morning to get a table at the breakfast as the choice of food is so important that i suspect some guest to stay there extra time and keep their table for ever, in order to have food for the day. Huge thanks to the hotel for arranging my preferred room – it was actually the exact same one I stayed in last Chinese New Year! What a lucky number, 1818. The front desk staff was so attentive and patient. And Xiaoqian, the attendant on the 18th floor, remembered all my habits from last year! She made sure the room was spotless and beautifully arranged every day, making it truly feel like home. The lion dance on the first day of the New Year was a real highlight. The environment and location are first-rate. From the room, you can see the Huangpu River and the Aurora Building next to it. You can walk to the riverside right from the hotel. The staff's service was excellent; they proactively offered umbrellas when it rained and helped call taxis, showing the warmth of this magical city. The breakfast was also quite good, with a rich variety and fresh ingredients, and the constant flow of diners didn't impact the service. However, the room facilities are outdated; whether it's the toilet, shower, or other in-room amenities, they don't match the times or the price. Fortunately, their excellent service made up for everything.

The moment I stepped into the lobby, I was instantly impressed by the grand ambiance. The body composition analysis was quite accurate, and the check-in process, right up to being escorted to our room, was incredibly smooth. Ms. Li, who provided the turndown service, was exceptionally warm and friendly, explaining everything with a radiant smile. I even bumped into her again at the fruit and vegetable juice stand the next morning – is she everywhere? Truly amazing! On our first night, my husband arrived late and wanted to get his body composition analysis done, but the front desk staff completely ignored us, saying they needed to attend to other guests first. Uh, weren't we guests too? We waited for ages, but they continued to ignore us, so we gave up, thoroughly disappointed. The next day, during check-out, we met two lovely ladies, Chen and Sun, who arranged for my husband to get his body composition analysis. We were a bit rushed this time and couldn't delve into a full experience, but I did try a Yin Yoga class with an Indian instructor, and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel's facilities are great, and the surroundings are beautiful. There are many cherry blossom trees in the courtyard. When we visited during the Qingming Festival, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, which made up for the disappointment of not being able to get into Yuyuantan in Beijing due to the crowds. It was my first time realizing how truly beautiful cherry blossoms are. Behind the hotel is a lavender garden, which seems to be closed now and completely empty, but there are large fields of beautiful canola flowers. Bicester Village is right outside the hotel, and it's also very convenient to get to Disneyland from here. Although there's a free shuttle bus, you have to queue, which is a hassle, so we took the public bus from outside the hotel to Disneyland – it's only three stops and much more convenient than the hotel's shuttle. There are two minor downsides: first, the food is unappetizing, and second, there are many tables in the room, which isn't very child-friendly or elderly-friendly, as we were constantly worried about them bumping into things or falling.

The hotel room facilities are good, with everything that should be there. The smoking area outside is also very beautiful. The breakfast in the morning is very good, it is self-service, and there are freshly made noodles to eat. If you are thirsty, you can go downstairs at any time to have some drinks and fruits, which are all included in the hotel package. Why the deduction? Like many reviews wrote, the water in the pool here is really too hot. It is the hottest of all the hot springs in Shanghai that I have been to. It feels too hot. I saw that several children could hardly soak in the water for a while. I don’t know why so many people complained. I saw that the management was still saying in the comments that it met the hot spring temperature requirements. What they said is that your water is too hot, and they are giving you suggestions. Everyone in the hot spring said that the water was hot, not that you violated any regulations... It takes talent to reply like this

I booked an Executive King Room this time. The room size was good, and the facilities were quite new, not like those you find in typical chain hotels, which I really appreciated! The best thing about this hotel is its excellent location, right next to the subway station and perfectly situated between Nanjing Road and the Bund! When traveling with kids, safety, location, and facilities are my top priorities. The front desk staff's service was average, but the lobby staff were very friendly and proactive in helping. My biggest complaint is the breakfast. I'd suggest having a dedicated breakfast area, especially for a 5-star hotel. Eating in the lobby means the food gets cold quickly, and the variety was a bit limited.

On our Foshan spring break, we took our child to Shanghai and, after careful selection online, chose to stay at the Kunlun Hotel Shanghai. It was a great experience. The transportation is super convenient; it's less than 100 meters from Exit 12 of Line 14, making the location excellent (though the walk within the metro station itself is quite long, haha). The hotel is lovely, and the lobby is spacious. Having stayed at many Atour, Orange Crystal, All Seasons, and Mercure hotels, I truly feel that established luxury hotels have superior hardware facilities that quick-service hotels can't match. The soft furnishings and service in quick-service hotels can't hide their often average hardware, and they can be quite pricey! This time, I booked a panoramic king room. It was a slight shame it wasn't facing Jing'an Temple, but the room was very large, so it was still great. The hotel thoughtfully provided access to the executive lounge. I want to commend the staff at the executive lounge; whether it was the tall, older gentleman, the younger staff, or the slightly darker-skinned staff member with round, kind eyes who had a warm smile and helped cook the Tom Yum Goong rice noodles – they were all wonderful. The service attitude was excellent. Opposite the hotel, there's a Shanghai brand cafe and a 'My Family Restaurant.' Major shopping districts are all within walking distance. It would be perfect if they could add self-service washing machines and dryers. For everything else, I encourage you to explore it yourself! Also, it would be great if breakfast could be included! 😊 However, I think it's perfectly normal for it not to be included. You can always choose a hotel package that suits your needs; I just personally didn't want to spend the extra money. How can you expect a business to give something away for free? So, I didn't even ask for it, hehe.
