The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, with plenty of delicious restaurants within walking distance. It's also close to People's Square, making it a great choice for sightseeing and entertainment. The room was clean and tidy, and the service was attentive. The staff were friendly and efficient, making for a superb experience. They even gave us a complimentary upgrade! This hotel is definitely worth recommending.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, making it incredibly convenient for shopping, coffee, and city walks. The high-floor views are amazing, especially from the 47th-floor bar and the 45th-floor restaurant – simply unbeatable. I stayed on the 35th floor, which also has a small executive lounge. From its floor-to-ceiling windows, you get a stunning panoramic view of the Huangpu River, the Oriental Pearl Tower, and the city's towering skyscrapers. I had an afternoon high-speed train, and Matt at the front desk was so helpful in arranging a late check-out. I didn't have my room card with me, but he thoughtfully issued a new one with my updated information. All the hotel staff are so people-oriented. My stay was excellent.

I visited last November during the autumn holidays. This was my second time staying at an Ascott property in a different city. I've always loved the layout of these hotels, with their separate kitchen and living areas, which is great for families. The location is excellent, right on Huaihai Road, very convenient. It's close to Xintiandi and other attractions. The service was also top-notch, much better than the St. Regis nearby. I would definitely choose to stay here again next time. It's easy to walk to the museum and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street; they're just a short stroll away. However, walking to the Bund and back is a bit far, so a taxi would be needed. There are many great food options on the first basement floor of the mall across the street, all delicious! I highly recommend the tempura place! Additionally, several shopping areas on Ascott's basement level are interconnected, allowing you to walk through to the malls at nearby intersections. The park around the First Congress of the Communist Party of China site is also lovely for a stroll, with many expats dining there and street performers. It's very pleasant in the evenings.

This was our second stay here with the kids, and we booked a family room again. It's a great hotel; the room is decorated very warmly, clean, and tidy. The location is excellent, close to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. The front desk staff, especially the lady who checked us in, was very friendly and helpful. Our room wasn't ready yet, so she arranged for us to wait and even personally delivered our room cards. She was very approachable. The breakfast was plentiful and perfect for a family leisure trip.

I stayed in a double bed room without a window and was genuinely impressed. Despite the lack of natural light, the room was clean, well-equipped, and surprisingly quiet—great for a restful sleep after a day exploring Shanghai. The bed was firm and comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and amenities like the shower and toiletries were high-quality for this price range. The hotel’s location is unbeatable—just a few minutes’ walk to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, People’s Square, and several metro lines. Plenty of shops, restaurants, and attractions are right around the corner. Staff were helpful and check-in was smooth even for a non-Chinese speaker. For the price, convenience, and comfort, I’d absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended for travelers looking for a practical base in central Shangh

Great hotel in a convenient location—only about 10 minutes from the Starbucks Roastery. The Bund Area Shanghai|1.73km from downtown
Good location, but poor follow-through from the front desk. Stayed 3 nights at Blossom House Shanghai on the Bund. Prior to arrival and again at check-in, we requested side-by-side rooms as our family had two separate bookings and I was traveling with my toddler. The front desk confirmed that the arrangement had been made. However, when my family arrived a few hours later, they were assigned a room several doors away despite speaking to the same staff member. During our stay, we noticed that the rooms next to our respective rooms appeared to remain vacant, which made the situation even more frustrating. The hotel mentioned a room “upgrade”, but the room appeared to be the same Grand Family Room on level 7. In any case, proximity to family was more important than any upgrade. The complimentary laundry room was convenient, but the handling of this simple request and the lack of clear communication from the front desk made the stay disappointing.

Choosing this hotel was definitely the right decision. Its biggest advantage is the location, being so close to the Bund, which made planning our itinerary incredibly convenient. The room was very clean, and all the essential amenities were provided, ensuring a comfortable stay. The gym and laundry facilities on the fourth floor were a great bonus, adding a lot of convenience to our trip, and we used them frequently. The front desk team deserves praise for their quick responses and excellent attitude. Overall, the hotel performed consistently well in all key areas, offering great value for money.

The service was excellent. They called me in advance to offer a room upgrade and added a complimentary breakfast as a member benefit. However, the facilities are a bit old. The room temperature was consistently high, so I had to keep the AC on to be comfortable. The Dyson hairdryer also overheated easily. The location is fantastic; you can walk to The Bund, Nanjing Road, and Yu Garden. Hotel parking is free, and my child enjoyed the swimming pool.

Huge thanks to the hotel for arranging my preferred room – it was actually the exact same one I stayed in last Chinese New Year! What a lucky number, 1818. The front desk staff was so attentive and patient. And Xiaoqian, the attendant on the 18th floor, remembered all my habits from last year! She made sure the room was spotless and beautifully arranged every day, making it truly feel like home. The lion dance on the first day of the New Year was a real highlight. Even though the breakfast restaurant was crowded during the CNY period, the service was much faster than last year. This is, as always, my absolute favorite hotel. See you next time! ^_^

Absolutely loved our stay at Shangri-La! From the moment you arrive, you can feel the high level of service and attention to detail. The hotel truly lives up to its reputation — everything was exceptional. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, and we were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade, which made our stay even more special. The breakfasts were outstanding — a great variety, fresh products, and even pineapple, which we hadn’t seen in any other hotels during our 10 days across China. The view from the hotel is stunning, and the location is very convenient. There’s a mall right next door, and The Bund is within walking distance, which was perfect for exploring. No complaints at all — truly a luxurious and memorable stay. Highly recommend!

My stay at The Anandi Hotel and Spa Shanghai was a delightful surprise! If you're looking for a place in the city to 'slow down,' I highly recommend it. The hotel's core concept revolves around mind and body wellness. During my stay, I participated in their deep sleep workshop and Tai Chi class, both of which were excellent experiences. The pace of the classes was very gentle, and afterward, I felt completely relaxed – perfect for hitting the 'reset' button in a busy life. I particularly loved the orange-scented diffuser in the room; walking in, I immediately felt a sense of calm, almost as if I were gently 'caught.' That scent truly helps you unwind. The sleep experience was also fantastic; I had deep, restorative sleep and felt completely refreshed. If you're in Shanghai and looking for a hotel where you can truly relax and rejuvenate your mind and body, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

Zhujiajiao, Oriental Land Shanghai|43.7km from downtown
Our team building was a last-minute decision, and we chose Sun Island because it's relatively close and offers a good variety of activities. The villa having a mahjong table was a nice touch, and there was also a BBQ grill, which we unfortunately didn't prepare food for in advance. It would probably be even better to visit when the weather is warmer and flowers are blooming. Since it was a rushed trip, we didn't get to experience many of the island's attractions, but it seems like a great place to bring kids. P.S. I recommend bringing your own snacks and drinks, as prices on the island are high. Adult Mindfulness Healing Class (1 session): This complimentary class was quite good, but the air conditioning wasn't warm enough, so I felt cold lying down... Free Island Shuttle Bus: You need to call ahead to request a car, and it arrives very quickly.

Title: Discovering a 'Little Kyoto' in Downtown Shanghai – Private Hot Spring Experience, 10/10! On a whim, I wanted to find a place to relax in a hot spring, and this hotel's Japanese garden and private onsen caught my eye. It absolutely did not disappoint! Location: Situated on Meichuan Road in Putuo District, it's a tranquil oasis away from the busiest city center, yet still conveniently located. There's a pedestrian street and shopping mall nearby, making dining and shopping easy. A taxi to Hongqiao transportation hub is also a quick ride. Ambiance: The moment I stepped through the hotel entrance, I truly felt transported to Kyoto. The Zen rock garden, red maple trees, koi pond, and even adorable rabbits and cats strolling around the courtyard created such a serene atmosphere. Every photo I took looked like it belonged in a magazine. Room & Private Onsen: We stayed in a Japanese-style king room, and the private hot spring tub, built from volcanic rock inside the room, was the absolute highlight! The hotel thoughtfully provided bath salts and a disposable tub liner. Soaking in it at night, all the day's fatigue just melted away. The bedding was also super comfortable, ensuring a fantastic night's sleep. Dining: I must praise 'Yakushima,' the Japanese restaurant on the first floor. For dinner, we ordered the seafood hot pot, and the ingredients were incredibly fresh. For breakfast, we chose the Japanese set meal – the nine-compartment presentation was exquisite, and enjoying breakfast with a view of the garden was so delightful. Guests also seem to get a discount on dining, which is a great value. Service: The attention to detail was excellent. Upon check-in, we received welcome fruits and a handwritten card, and at check-out, they even gave us a small wind chime as a souvenir – a very thoughtful touch. If you're looking for a hotel where you can truly relax and experience Japanese charm without leaving Shanghai, this place is definitely the top choice. I'll be bringing my family back for a second visit!

A very satisfying trip! The hotel is located within the Disney Resort, directly opposite Bicester Village, and parking is super convenient. The hotel is new and well-maintained; I'm never disappointed when I come here. The room is clean and tidy, with complete facilities, drinks in the mini-fridge, and lovely bathrobes. It feels more like a resort than a hotel. The bathroom is separate and private, and the water quality is truly different! I'm a regular at GOKURAKUYU (a famous hot spring chain), and the water here really leaves your skin feeling smooth and your hair soft after bathing! Especially the open-air hot spring bath – it's so comfortable. There are also many great food options at Bicester Village directly opposite, so it's very pleasant to wander around after a bath, and the stars at night are beautiful. Highly recommended, perfect for a city getaway.

The hotel room facilities are good, with everything that should be there. The smoking area outside is also very beautiful. The breakfast in the morning is very good, it is self-service, and there are freshly made noodles to eat. If you are thirsty, you can go downstairs at any time to have some drinks and fruits, which are all included in the hotel package. Why the deduction? Like many reviews wrote, the water in the pool here is really too hot. It is the hottest of all the hot springs in Shanghai that I have been to. It feels too hot. I saw that several children could hardly soak in the water for a while. I don’t know why so many people complained. I saw that the management was still saying in the comments that it met the hot spring temperature requirements. What they said is that your water is too hot, and they are giving you suggestions. Everyone in the hot spring said that the water was hot, not that you violated any regulations... It takes talent to reply like this

This is my second time staying at this hotel, and I highly recommend it. First off, I arrived early in the afternoon, and my booked room wasn't ready yet. Jasmine Sun at the front desk was incredibly thoughtful and upgraded me to a suite, which was fantastic! The room was huge, with a separate bedroom, living room, and a spacious bathroom. It had everything you could ask for: a refrigerator, hairdryer, large wardrobe, and even a scale. It was a very comfortable stay. Secondly, the hotel is very close to the core area of Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. You can walk to Shen Dacheng, First Food Store, and many other key shops in just five to ten minutes. Additionally, the hotel offers complimentary executive lounge access (perhaps due to my booking). The breakfast the next morning was also abundant and, more importantly, not overly crowded, unlike some other hotels on Nanjing Road where breakfast is a free-for-all. All in all, I highly recommend it! 👍

I brought my child to Shanghai for the F1 Chinese Grand Prix. We stayed at a designated hotel included with the ticket for a few days during the race. After the race, my child and I switched to the Grand Hyatt, and the experience was excellent. The staff were patient and meticulous, the bedding was comfortable and high-quality, and the room layout was very well-designed (this is just my personal opinion). The breakfast had a great variety and tasted delicious. My child had to catch up on a lot of homework after taking time off for the race, so on check-out day, I explained the situation to the hotel staff, and they kindly offered a two-hour late check-out, which I really appreciate 🙏. The only downside was the rainy weather, which affected the river view. However, my child truly loved it, and we will definitely choose the Grand Hyatt again next time. Thank you again! 🌹

Facilities: The bathroom sink wasn't very practical; water splashed everywhere easily. Environment: The breakfast area and lobby bar are shared and quite small. Service: The hotel service was really good. The front desk staff, especially Loretta, were very professional. She deserves a huge commendation – even on her days off, she'd message me to say I could reach out to her anytime if I needed anything. The concierge service was also excellent, promptly anticipating guests' needs, making both check-in and check-out very smooth. Housekeeping was great too; turndown service was always done by the time I returned to my room. Breakfast is a crucial indicator of a hotel's quality, reflecting its attention to detail and standards through its offerings and quality control. After I spoke with the hotel, there was an improvement the next day. The bakery items were truly outstanding; the pastries were perfectly flaky, and both the pancakes and waffles were delicious. The fried dishes also had a great texture.

Arrived early, and since my reserved twin room wasn't ready yet, the front desk upgraded me to a studio apartment, allowing for an immediate check-in. Coincidentally, it was located one floor below my friend's room, which was incredibly convenient for my visit. The room itself was clean and tidy. The all-in-one washer and dryer was very handy, and the shower room was well-designed. Overall, it was a very satisfying short trip. The staff were exceptionally friendly; the cleaning lady always greeted us with a smile and was clearly well-trained. I hosted several friends who came to visit, and they all complimented the room. My only minor complaint is that it's a tad far from the subway station, but it's within walking distance to the Wutong District and the art street district, which I really loved.

Five out of five stars! A trip to the quarry, healed by beautiful scenery and heartwarming service ✨ I made a special trip on Saturday to check out the InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations, perfectly embodying high-end luxury and thoughtful consideration. Upon checking in, I immediately experienced the hotel's photography service. The photographer was incredibly professional, excellent at finding angles, understanding lighting and composition, and patiently guided my poses and movements. He captured stunning, atmospheric shots, effortlessly freezing the unique beauty of the quarry and wonderful moments – it was such a pleasant surprise~ I must particularly commend our exclusive butler, Alisa! She was enthusiastic and meticulous throughout our stay. She proactively addressed our needs before and after check-in, meticulously handled itinerary planning and detailed arrangements. She efficiently resolved all sorts of minor issues immediately, responding promptly and handling everything thoughtfully. She was gentle and reliable, making the entire journey worry-free and comfortable, and we felt incredibly warm🥰 The hotel itself certainly lives up to its name as a ”world architectural wonder” 🏨. A place worth its price. I choose this hotel mainly due to its price which wasn’t too expensive and met my needs (a rather bigger room). It was perfect due to the fact that I had a lot of luggage and the room was spacious enough. The location is also very nice, it is near various commercial areas and around 10/12 minutes walk from the green line (line 2), which I took to go to the oriental pearl tower. Something that surprised me was the delivery robot for takeaways, which was something I never saw in other hotels during my stay in China😂. Overall, for its price, the size of the room and the great location, I would greatly recommend this hotel👍🏻.
