This time, when I brought my child to Shanghai for a trip, I still chose the Crowne Plaza Shanghai Nanjing Road. After a tiring full day at Disneyland, we arrived at the hotel and were grateful for the room upgrade to a suite. After checking out, we realized we had left a bag behind. A big thank you to staff member #066 who helped us find it and even arranged for it to be couriered home. The service here is absolutely amazing! Thank you very much! ❤️❤️

Our first trip to Shanghai with my wife and child was a wonderful experience. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable for our family. The breakfast selection was also excellent, with a good variety of choices each morning. What truly made our stay exceptional was Jackie. She provided outstanding service and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at ease. We were especially grateful for her kindness and support when our child fell ill. Her genuine care, attentiveness, and professionalism made a difficult situation much easier for us. Thank you, Jackie, and the entire team, for the warm hospitality. We highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again.

This is a serviced apartment with a fantastic location. It's right across the street from Xintiandi and the subway station, making transportation incredibly convenient. There are tons of shopping malls and restaurants nearby, perfect for those who love to shop. The hotel staff were warm and friendly, always ready to help. Upon check-in, I received a complimentary upgrade to a suite, which was very spacious and included a kitchen and living room. It was fully equipped with an oven, microwave, induction hob, sterilizer, and washing machine (though I didn't get to use them all). The 2-meter king-size bed had a mattress that was just right – not too soft, not too firm – and the high-floor street view was also excellent. On the downside, the bathroom facilities were a bit dated, with a non-smart toilet and a seat without soft-close hinges. The sink also drained slowly. Plus, there were some oversights in the cleaning; I actually found a T-shirt left by a previous guest on the back of a chair! I only stayed for one day, so I didn't get to experience the other hotel amenities. Overall, I would still recommend this hotel!

Booked this hotel for a business trip and was genuinely surprised in a good way. Daisy provided warm and attentive service, and check-in was a breeze. The desk had plenty of power outlets, and the lighting was soft and comfortable, so my eyes didn't get tired even after working on the computer for a long time. There are many shopping malls nearby, making it super convenient for dining and shopping. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in town.

I stayed at the Garden Hotel again during the May Golden Week holiday to watch the Longines Global Champions Tour in Shanghai. My first stay at the Garden Hotel was 30 years ago. The marble in the lobby, the Rose restaurant, and the small mosaic tiles in the corridors still maintain their grand and elegant style. That's why I always come back to this familiar place whenever I return to China. It was a family member's birthday on the day we checked in, and the hotel gave us a box of rich chocolates. I was truly touched by the hotel's thoughtfulness, it made us very happy! **Facilities**: The TOTO toilet at the Garden Hotel is my favorite because of its washlet function, making going to the restroom so comfortable! The depth and length of the bathtub are also perfect for me. The slippers are very thick and durable; I always feel reluctant to throw them away when checking out. I even take the used slippers with me to wear on planes or high-speed trains. **Hygiene**: The hygiene details are impeccable. The towels are soft and comfortable, with dense loops, making them very reassuring to use on the skin. **Environment**: The hotel has its own garden, where you can enjoy a rare tranquility in the city of Shanghai during a morning stroll! Just one traffic light to the left of the hotel entrance, there are many small bars and restaurants! There are even two Michelin-starred restaurants! It's definitely worth a walk and exploring. **Service**: I bought many things online, and they were delivered to the hotel in batches. The concierge meticulously recorded everything and delivered them to our room! When we left, the concierge helped put our luggage in the car trunk, opened and closed the doors, and politely bid us farewell. **Welcome Package**: We received canned drinks and snacks, which was a nice surprise!

I chose Pullman Shanghai Jing'an for my business trip to Shanghai, and the overall experience far exceeded my expectations ✨. The location is superb, within walking distance to the metro station and Shanghai Railway Station, and you can take the subway directly to the Bund and People's Square. There are plenty of dining options nearby. The lobby is elegant and grand, and the front desk handled check-in efficiently and thoughtfully. The concierge proactively helped with my luggage. The room was spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering city views. The bathroom was clean, odor-free, and featured a separate wet and dry area. The Pullman signature bed was just right – not too soft, not too firm – ensuring a peaceful night's sleep without any noise disturbance. The buffet breakfast offered a full range of Chinese and Western options with fresh ingredients. In my free time, I could relax at the 24-hour gym and heated swimming pool. Accor's five-star quality truly lives up to its name, offering excellent value for money. I highly recommend it for both business and leisure travelers!

I stayed at this hotel back when it was still the Kempinski and always had a pleasant experience. This time, under the new IHG Vignette Collection branding, the stay fell far short of expectations. Upon arrival, there was no one outside to assist with luggage. Staff members only rushed out after they saw me already pulling my bags from the car myself. The check-in process was noticeably slower, and I wasn’t offered an upgrade — which used to be a regular, appreciated gesture during my previous stays. I was given one of the smallest rooms I’ve ever had in this hotel. The room itself had several issues. The microwave didn’t work at all, so I couldn’t heat up the takeaway I’d brought. The bedroom TV remote wasn’t responsive; I struggled with it for a long time and eventually just managed to turn the TV off, but not control it. The worst part was the noise from the room above — constant, disruptive sounds that went on until well past midnight, severely affecting my sleep. I did call reception about it, but the noise continued. Checkout felt impersonal and rushed. No one asked how my stay was. I simply handed over my room key and that was it. When my pre-ordered car had trouble finding the hotel entrance, I handed the phone to a staff member expecting them to guide the driver. Instead, he simply found out where the car was parked, handed the phone back, and left me to drag my luggage there on my own. The only positive is the central location, which remains excellent. But for service, room comfort, and attention to detail, this was a letdown. I hope they can bring back the standards they used to have.

I really love Hanamura (Huajiantang Hotels & Resorts), and this stay at their Urban Retreat property was fantastic. It's located in a prime spot with views of the Bund and Lujiazui, making it very convenient for getting around. The lobby is elegantly and tastefully decorated, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The service was proactive and thoughtful – highly recommended! The breakfast buffet offered a rich variety of options, both nutritious and healthy. The hotel also arranged a travel photoshoot for us. The guidance was professional, and the photography was meticulous. Since we were celebrating two important anniversaries, we were very pleased with the final photos.

I’m so glad I chose the Mehood Elegant Hotel. It was the perfect location — close to everything, not too crowded, yet not too remote either. I traveled solo with my 14-month-old toddler, and he was absolutely spoiled by all the hotel staff. Everyone treated us with so much kindness and care. Jerry checked us in and out and even gave me a cute fridge magnet. The breakfast was delicious with so many options to choose from, the rooms were cleaned daily, and bottled water was always replenished. Xiao Jun also took great care of us, and Yinhe Juan felt like an auntie to us. We looked forward to seeing them every morning at breakfast. They all made my stay feel so warm and welcoming — truly like a home away from home. I’m incredibly grateful for their hospitality, and if I ever find myself back in Shanghai again, I’ll definitely be booking Mehood. PS: the view from my room was incredible!

Writing this review is not easy because I always try to stay positive and support hotels where the team genuinely makes an effort. Overall, my first impression of the hotel was good, but as my stay continued, several issues made it difficult to fully enjoy the experience. The biggest problem was the smell in the room. I asked to change rooms, but the alternative room had same unpleasant odor, so I decided to stay in the original one. Because of this, I shortened my planned stay. The smell wasn't just an ”old building” smell—it felt more like excessive humidity or even possible mold. It wasn't surprising to discover that the bathroom exhaust fan wasn't working. Another unpleasant experience was waking up with what looked like insect bites after sleeping in the bed. I cannot say for certain what caused them (probably bedbugs), but it was concerning. I also had a mild allergic reaction after using one of the hotel's umbrellas, so I would recommend wiping them down before use if you have sensitive skin. On the positive side, I truly appreciated the staff's attitude. They sincerely tried to understand my concerns and help, even if they weren't always able to resolve the issues. Their willingness to assist deserves recognition. Breakfast is definitely one of the hotel's strongest points. There is a wide variety of quality food, and it's an excellent way to start the day. The afternoon tea is also a nice benefit, especially with the beautiful view, making it a pleasant place to relax. I hope the hotel addresses the room condition and ventilation issues because the staff clearly care, and with better maintenance, the overall experience could be much better.

As a five-star hotel, both the service and facilities are quite good. I've always heard that Westin's family rooms are great, and I got to experience one on this trip to Shanghai. I won't go into detail about the good aspects, but I do have a few suggestions: 1. For a family room, there actually aren't many kids' amenities, just a few stuffed animals. For example, a step stool could be provided in the bathroom for children. 2. The sink in the bathroom constantly accumulates water on the inner side. I'm not sure if it's due to the countertop's angle or something else, but I hope it can be adjusted. 3. The toilet paper holder in the WC is too far inward, making it inconvenient to grab paper. If you pull hard, the roll might fall off. Moving the holder forward, reversing its direction, or moving it to the right side would all be good solutions. Overall, I hope Westin continues to improve as a high-end hotel. I look forward to experiencing it again next time!

Staying at Shangri-La Shanghai was exactly what a city escape should feel like: luxurious without being fussy, courteous without feeling formal. We were on the 25th floor, and the view of the river was the best part of the day — morning light on the Huangpu, the skyline stretching out, and at night the Pearl Tower glowing just down the road. It’s quiet up there, real tranquility despite being so close to all the tourist attractions. The comfort carried through everywhere: the indoor pool and jacuzzi were perfect for unwinding, the gym had everything we needed, and the grand lobby is lined with high-end stores if you feel like browsing. But the thing we’ll remember most is the afternoons — tea time in the lobby with a live folk music performance drifting through the space. It turns the whole lobby into something calm and beautiful. Courteous staff, comfortable rooms, and a location that puts you right in the heart of Shanghai. We’ll be back.

Let me start with the cons: The room I stayed in was triangular, which isn't really to Chinese taste. While you can tell the decor uses high-quality materials, it's been over a decade, so the hardware is showing obvious signs of age and isn't very modern. Switches are crooked, and the lights flicker. It's like an experienced beauty; even with efforts to maintain her, her age is still apparent. Aside from the aging hardware, everything else is quite good. The hotel's location is definitely excellent, very convenient, and the surrounding area is lively – it's one of the best spots in Shanghai. As for service, they even gave me a late check-out when I returned late. The restaurant and bar on the first floor have a great atmosphere. Overall, it's quite good. As long as you're not too particular about the newness of the hardware, it's a very good choice for a trip.

I want to start my review from a positive things: 1. beautiful view 2. the best laser-show i’ve ever seen. 3. The room is good, well- equipped, clean and looks great! 4. Staff is friendly and ready to help in a short time. Areas for improvement: 1. Pool. You should stop operating it asap: There’re absolutely unsanitary conditions, the locker room reeks of urine, some kinds of unknown hairs is everywhere around the locker room, even in walls and doors, mold, rust, and broken furniture - that all you can meet in the pool. The pool is small, old, and only 1.2m deep. The pool is not met even minimal expectations from an InterContinental hotel. 2. Breakfast: generally - ok, for a 4 stars hotel. 3. Dirty windows in elevators spoil the beautiful view, I think you could clean in outside using a cleaner robots.

Before, a hotel was just a place to sleep, but this time I discovered that a staycation, just chilling at the hotel, is a truly unique and incredibly comfortable way to recharge. You don't have to venture out; you can completely rejuvenate your mind and body. This hotel is like the Haidilao of hotels – the service is incredibly attentive. I booked all the available wellness classes in advance through the hotel's mini-program, filling my entire day. ******* singing bowl sound therapy, various yoga sessions, breathwork and meditation, body restoration, and different versions of Baduanjin (Eight-Section Brocade) – it was a fully immersive relaxation experience that kept me engaged all day long. Like Haidilao, the hotel staff were exceptionally attentive and caring throughout. They offered constitution tests, chakra assessments, restorative treatments, guided various classes, and even provided travel photography services. Many of these activities are simply unavailable at other hotels, like meditating and doing yoga at sunrise while watching peacocks. After check-in, I received a thermos filled with a wellness drink tailored to my constitution. After happy hour, there was a salad, and a warm, comforting soup was delivered before bed. The next morning, another thermos with a hot drink was waiting outside my door. The self-service breakfast drinks were also delicious, natural, and refreshing; I completely lost interest in milk tea after trying them. The entire hotel exudes a relaxing ambiance. As you step out of the elevator, there's a faint ginger scent. The bedtime fragrance is citrusy, which is incredibly calming, and there are 15 types of pillows to choose from. I especially loved the white noise machine in the room; it has 9 sound effects to choose from, helping me fall asleep quickly, and it also charges my phone. Guests also receive custom clothing and slippers. They resemble chef's uniforms and are exceptionally comfortable. Regardless of age or gender, wearing this outfit to classes, meals, or just strolling around felt completely natural, fostering a relaxed atmosphere throughout the hotel, without any sense of formality. No long-distance travel, no crowded attractions – just quietly staying at the hotel allowed me to fully replenish my depleted energy. This niche staycation is truly a wonderful way for modern people to recharge, offering both ease and healing.

Hidden in the city, the Japanese Zen garden at Yuyado Hatoniwa offers a DIY perfume blending experience that cures all fatigue.🌿 The serene and elegant Japanese-style space, paired with a tranquil Karesansui (dry landscape) garden, creates an incredible atmosphere. The instructor was gentle and patient, explaining the fragrance layers. With a complete selection of top, middle, and base notes, including woody, floral, fresh tea, and Zen-inspired herbal scents, I slowly blended, let it settle, and sealed my own unique niche perfume. Every breath was filled with a gentle aroma, instantly soothing away any anxious feelings. Slowing down to experience the fusion of fragrance and Japanese aesthetics, and then blending after a private onsen bath, made the ritual feel perfect. The finished perfume has a subtle and sophisticated scent that lingers, bringing home a full sense of vacation and healing. The service was thoughtful and meticulous, the environment clean and calming. The three of us arrived at the hotel around noon on the 17th and checked in immediately. A hotel staff member then helped us with our luggage and drove us to our room in a shuttle, even providing a fruit plate. That afternoon, some of us enjoyed the hot spring provided by the hotel. Breakfast started at 7 AM the next day, and a shuttle service took us to Disneyland. They picked us up around 9 PM to bring us back to the hotel (the same schedule applied for the morning and evening of the third day as well). The hotel's exterior environment is excellent, with a lavender garden right next door and Bicester Village directly opposite, making both transport and shopping very convenient. The interior facilities are also very comprehensive, with all accommodation necessities provided, and everything is clean and tidy. The staff are warm and attentive, making us feel completely at ease. During our stay, from the doorman proactively helping with our bags to the efficient check-in at the front desk, and then to the meticulous room service, every step was seamless. All in all, choosing the Million Stone Hot Spring Hotel was the best decision.

The hotel room facilities are good, with everything that should be there. The smoking area outside is also very beautiful. The breakfast in the morning is very good, it is self-service, and there are freshly made noodles to eat. If you are thirsty, you can go downstairs at any time to have some drinks and fruits, which are all included in the hotel package. Why the deduction? Like many reviews wrote, the water in the pool here is really too hot. It is the hottest of all the hot springs in Shanghai that I have been to. It feels too hot. I saw that several children could hardly soak in the water for a while. I don’t know why so many people complained. I saw that the management was still saying in the comments that it met the hot spring temperature requirements. What they said is that your water is too hot, and they are giving you suggestions. Everyone in the hot spring said that the water was hot, not that you violated any regulations... It takes talent to reply like this

I visited Qianyun after looking at dozens of places in the area. I wanted to be away from typical city area, have a bathtub and nice outdoor area, and with easy access to Shanghai Disneyland. Qianyun met all those requirements and more! The location was immediately very serene and surrounded by forest, but still easy to access lots of waimai food delivery options. They were also very kind and proactive about sharing information about local restaurants and activities, and provide a breakfast and evening fruit every day. They offer free car transport to Disneyland, and I was excited to use this service but I ended up enjoying my time at the hotel so much that I opted to stay and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere instead! The hotel pets are so friendly - within five minutes the little cat Banban was on my lap and purring. The room itself is decorated very nicely with all the amenities you need. The bathtub inside is very comfortable and I loved the outdoor hot spring tub as well. The attention to hygiene is very highly emphasized and I was impressed with how clean and luxurious everything felt. I will definitely visit again and recommend to anyone hoping to have a convenient getaway from the city, or who would like to be near to Disneyland Resort while also experiencing a more peaceful area and for a good economical value and high quality service! Thankyou for the wonderful stay, I felt very welcome at all times.

The Jin Mao Tower itself is one of Lujiazui's iconic trio of buildings, and staying here offers direct views of the Huangpu River and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower – the vista is truly breathtaking! Our room was on the 74th floor, and seeing the Jin Mao's internal structure was also spectacular. The hotel's decor feels a bit dated, but the room size is generous, and the service was genuinely excellent. When we checked in, the lobby manager noticed we had a child and gave us a cute Milk Dragon plushie, which made my little sister so happy. Because our flight was late, I asked the lovely front desk staff, and even though the hotel was very busy, she still managed to arrange a late check-out for me, which I really appreciated. Breakfast was also quite good, with a mix of Chinese and Western options, though you might have to queue if you go too late, so it's better to go early. Oh, and I booked a group deal on Ctrip, which also included a few tickets to the insect museum – such great value! The twin beds were two 1.2-meter beds that could be pushed together, so there was plenty of space for a family of four. Accor Pullman in France is pretty good, with a nice design, and the aromatherapy scent is the same as in Hong Kong. Facilities: Higher floor rooms would be better; try to choose a high-floor room to avoid the smell of mugwort from downstairs. Transportation: Downstairs are Sun & Moon Light, Tianzifang, and the subway, so coming directly is very convenient for city work. 24th Floor Executive Lounge Supreme Experience: The executive lounge is great, with high-altitude views. Dining: Both breakfast and the executive lounge are good, but there are too many foreigners – mostly Koreans and Westerners. The noodle chef even paused for a moment when he heard me speak Chinese, and then switched his language system. Koreans were coolly showing off watermelon, taking five plates at a time.

TL;DR: Do not stay here—at least not in our room. The J Hotel has serious sanitation issues, falsely advertises “Bund View” rooms, and responds to legitimate complaints with insulting compensation. This was meant to be a gift for my mother’s final two nights in China; instead, it was my worst hotel experience. 1. Unacceptable sanitation – mud in the tub We stayed in room 9010, a “Grand Suite Bund View.” My mother ran a bath and found mud/sediment in the tub after it filled (photo attached). Maintenance told us this is “common” when the pipe hasn’t been used for two days. That’s false—and even if true, it admits this “luxury” hotel doesn’t clean properly. The mud reappeared the second day. For any hotel this is inexcusable; at over 6,000 RMB/night, it’s disgusting. 2. “Bund View” is a deliberate lie I booked this room specifically to see the Bund and Oriental Pearl Tower lights at night, paying double a standard room. What we got was almost pitch black; on a clear night, it looked like distant fireflies. This wasn’t weather—we saw clear views from the lobby and 120th floor. Staff admitted that every room has privacy film and a secondary glass layer that intentionally blocks outward visibility. They showed us a room five floors above facing the same direction—equally obstructed. If so, the hotel has no business advertising “Bund View.” It’s a marketing lie. We asked for an upgrade; they said I already paid for the best in this tier and the next would cost 10,000+ RMB/night which was too much to comp. We asked for a refund; they refused, claiming no authority. 3. Petty service recovery After complaints of mud and a fake view, a manager offered one extra complimentary breakfast and a 100 RMB minibar credit. We requested two comped breakfasts to feed family members taking us to the airport. They said each breakfast costs 368 RMB and refused the second—screenshot attached. They were polite but chose to nickel-and-dime us. 4. A culture of inflexibility Even minor requests were denied or given runaround: · I asked for a coffee to go 30 minutes after breakfast, specifying a pickup time so ice wouldn’t melt. They said I could only take it immediately upon leaving breakfast. Kitchen blamed front desk; front desk blamed kitchen. · I requested luggage be brought down to match our car arrival. They said it needed 20 minutes, so I had to check out 20 minutes early—causing an awkward wait without a room. These courtesies I’ve received at hotels costing 1/10th the price. At 6,000 RMB, they’re baseline expectations—not favors. We didn’t feel this was a luxury property. It’s a high-rise with expensive decor, dirty pipes, deliberately obscured windows, and management that claims to care but can’t fix real problems. Their final offer of ~$15 and one meal told me exactly how much they value trust and time. Save your money. Book elsewhere. The public-area views are great—and free. The hotel itself is beautiful, with top-notch art and decor, but that doesn’t justify the stay.

We booked the Kempinski for Children's Day, hoping to create a wonderful memory for our child. As a popular spot for its 'influencer-worthy' pool, the Kempinski truly lives up to its reputation. It has a distinct beauty both day and night, and I really felt the charm of Shanghai. The driver told me that many people come specifically to take photos of the hotel with the Oriental Pearl Tower – it’s a classic shot. Now for a few minor issues: Our room had a great view (as shown in the picture), but the bathroom felt a bit dated and wasn't ideal. For a bubble bath, the water pressure wasn't strong enough, and the bubbles didn't quite materialize. This is a small point. Also, I found the Black Forest cake to be just average. However, the burger we ordered for in-room dining (Picture 7) was absolutely delicious! It was huge, and I ate the whole thing. It came with truffle mayonnaise, and the patty was firm and juicy – highly, highly recommended! The price was definitely 'Kempinski-level,' but the taste, like private chef quality, was excellent. I asked for an extra children's amenity kit for the room, and they provided a small bag that even included a Children's Day toy (Picture 14). I also bought some ice cream, chocolates, and macarons from the lobby. The ice cream was the best – the strawberry flavor I had even had large pieces of real strawberry, which was a pleasant surprise! Ms. Julia Li was incredibly thoughtful and suggested I place the order through Dianping, showing great consideration for the customer. Big kudos to her! She was the only one who told me this, despite me buying items three times, so a special thank you!

Might I say, our entire stay at the W was marvelous from beginning to end. Upon arrival, we were greeted and helped with our luggage straight yo our room. The staff at the front desk was extremely friendly. She even offered to upgrade us to a room with a better view seeing that we were celebrating and visiting Shanghai for the first time. Each staff seemed to acknowledge our existence all throughout the hotel. This made us feel like extremely important people. Our room was absolutely stunning and oh my was the view ever so perfect. Room service was excellent. Their burger was probably the most delicious. We visited amd stayed in many hotels around China and this one definitely left some beautiful memories. We would highly recommend staying here if ever visiting Shanghai. Every penny spent was worth it.

Wujiaochang Commercial Area Shanghai|9.08km from downtown
Coming to Shanghai, I specifically chose the Pagoda Hotel (Fudan University, Shanghai Branch) that I've been eyeing for a while. I booked the Deluxe Family Twin Room for four people, and the experience truly exceeded my expectations! First of all, the hotel's location is fantastic! It's right in the Wujiaochang business district and KIC (Knowledge Innovation Community), next to University Road, which has a ton of trendy restaurants and cafes. In the evening, we went to a folk bar nearby, and it was a wonderful experience. It's also super close to Fudan University; we even took a walk on campus in the morning, which was lovely. Back in the room, it was incredibly spacious, absolutely not cramped for a family of four. There were two large beds, plus a tatami mat that could be used for sitting or lying down. We had tea and snacks on it during the day, and there was plenty of space to move around. The smart room control system was so convenient; a simple voice command could open or close the curtains and turn the lights on or off. Through the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, we had an unobstructed view of Wujiaochang's city skyline, which was truly expansive. The hotel's service was also excellent. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and the butler even asked about our accommodation preferences in advance. There's also a free self-service late-night snack bar after 9 PM, which was a pleasant surprise! The mini-bar was complimentary, and all the in-room amenities were well-stocked. Plus, food deliveries were brought up by a robot, which was both convenient and private. The hotel also has a gym and a laundry room, which is incredibly thoughtful for families with children, allowing us to wash and dry clothes anytime. Finally, a quick reminder: hotels in Shanghai typically don't proactively provide disposable toothbrushes, but you can always ask the front desk if you need one. However, this is a minor detail, and overall, this Pagoda is definitely worth recommending, especially for family trips – you can't go wrong with it!

Everbright Convention and Exhibition Center Shanghai|12.35km from downtown
My overall experience with the business I conducted at this location was incredibly pleasant, and I absolutely have to commend Audrey, the front desk staff member. Her thorough and thoughtful service throughout left a deep impression on me, and I'm writing this review to express my gratitude. As soon as I walked through the door, the front desk staff immediately stood up and greeted me warmly. Her tone was gentle and friendly, and she maintained a sincere smile, instantly easing any awkwardness I felt as a first-time visitor. I hadn't brought all the necessary documents with me and had many questions about the process, required materials, and fee standards. I was worried it would take a long time and that the staff might become impatient, but she was incredibly patient throughout, without a hint of perfunctoriness or laxity. She clearly explained each step of the process item by item. For technical terms I didn't understand, she rephrased them in easy-to-understand language and explained them repeatedly. Thoughtfully, she took out a pen and paper, wrote down a detailed list of materials I needed to provide, and noted important considerations for each item, saving me from making multiple trips. While I was waiting for the procedures to be processed, she saw me standing and proactively guided me to the seating area, even offering me drinking water. Her attentiveness was evident in every detail. When handling the business, she was skilled and efficient, verifying information carefully and meticulously. She double-checked every detail with me to prevent any errors. Midway through, I added several additional questions related to various different services, and she answered each one in detail, proactively informing me about related benefits and precautions, showing incredible thoughtfulness. Throughout our entire interaction, her demeanor was appropriate, polite, and humble, and her speaking pace was just right. She showed empathy for the customer's difficulties and displayed no impatience or perfunctoriness. Her professionalism and service awareness were impeccable. It's precisely because of such a diligent, responsible, and thoughtful front desk employee that the overall image of the establishment has been greatly enhanced, making my entire process smooth and worry-free. Such excellent service deserves high praise. If any friends or family have similar needs in the future, I will definitely recommend this establishment, and I hope the store will generously reward this dedicated staff member!

Huaihai Road Area Shanghai|1.35km from downtown
At first, I thought it was a bit far but once I started to explore, I appreciate the location as it is set away from the crowd but very walkable. About 10 mins walk to the LV iconic ship one way, 10mins walk or thereabouts to West Nanjing Rd Butterfly Cremarous in another direction and if you head off in another direction, about 15mins to IAPM mall. The service was great. The girls were helpful with our Taobao packages and also when I wanted to order food delivery. Self washing machine and dryer were easy enough to use. Cleaners really kept the room tidy. Some construction when we were around end of May 2026 but not too bad. As with most places in China, you will have random smokers inside but our room did not smell of smoke so that's a RELIEF! Another minor negative was the bathrobe was in tatters but that was only the 1st day out of 4 nights stay Also at times, food delivery person could deliver to your room even though you need card access. Worth nothing though I haven't felt unsafe. I actually like the room layout, felt spacious and also probably the only hotel where I have watched so many movies.

I stayed at the Hyatt House Shanghai Hongqiao CBD and found it to be a very solid choice, especially for business travel. The location is excellent, situated directly opposite the railway station and the airport, which makes onward travel extremely convenient. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, providing everything needed for a short business stay. The staff are friendly, helpful, and efficient, which adds to the overall positive experience. Breakfast is perfectly adequate and does the job well. For business trips in particular, or if you need to continue your journey by train the next day as I did, this hotel is a very convenient and comfortable option. Overall, I had a good stay and can definitely recommend it.
