I brought my child to Shanghai for a summer vacation and after looking at many options, I chose this hotel. The location is excellent, making it convenient to go anywhere, with major shopping malls right downstairs. It's very family-friendly for those traveling with children. For such a prime location on Shanghai's Nanjing Road, getting such a great room at this price is incredibly satisfying.

Fantastic central location, right opposite People's Square, close to 3 metro lines including Line 2 which goes almost everywhere (and to the airport in 1 hour), and connected to a huge shopping mall adjacent to the hotel. We had a late arrival due to a flight delay, but the staff was available for check-in. The breakfast was magnificent with a great selection of savory, sweet, Chinese, and continental options – something for everyone, plus superb freshly squeezed orange juice. The family suite was immense, though a bit dated, but it suited us perfectly. Housekeeping was done daily. I was able to communicate with the concierge via WeChat beforehand, and they were very kind. The only reason I'm not giving a 10/10 is that we didn't receive any information about dining at the hotel's restaurants, visiting the bar, or going to the swimming pool. For the pool, we had to find its location ourselves, and it was complicated to figure out which floor it was on relative to our building. We were on the 9th floor: we had to go down to the 8th floor, cross into the adjacent building where the 8th floor became the 6th, and then go up to the 8th floor of the new building 😛 It was hard to figure out and understand where we needed to go. The pool and jacuzzi are great and felt wonderful after a day of sightseeing. Swim caps are mandatory but provided by the lifeguard if you don't have one. There's a magnificent view from the bar located in the upper tower, even if the elevator is tricky to find for going up or down.

Huaihai Road Area Shanghai|0.73km from downtown
I was in Shanghai for a business trip + a short-term stay, and I immediately knew I had to choose Ascott Huaihai Road Shanghai! This is definitely a perfect choice for serviced apartments in the heart of Shanghai, combining high-end quality, home-like comfort, and thoughtful service. Whether it's for a long-term business stay, a family trip, or a short vacation, it's an irreplaceable optimal solution 💫. 📍 Prime Location, Exploring Shanghai Made Easy The apartment is located in the core commercial district of Huaihai Middle Road, adjacent to Hong Kong Plaza, K11, and Xintiandi. Downstairs, you'll find a bustling commercial area, providing one-stop shopping, dining, and coffee experiences. The subway system is extensive, with multiple lines (1, 8, 13, 14) converging, making it incredibly convenient to get to the Bund, Lujiazui, and Nanjing Road. It truly offers the best of both worlds: stepping out into vibrancy while enjoying tranquility in the city center. No need to rush for business commutes or sightseeing. 🏠 Newly Renovated Units, Spacious and Homey The suite I stayed in had a clear and well-designed layout. The soft furnishings, newly renovated in 2026, were incredibly tasteful! The decor featured stylish light gray and natural wood, creating a minimalist yet luxurious feel without being overly flamboyant. The entire unit had solid wood flooring, making it clean and odor-free, with a fantastic ambiance. The expansive panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows were the biggest highlight. From a high floor with unobstructed views, I could admire the magic city's skyline during the day and overlook the dazzling nightscape, with the Lujiazui 'Three-Piece Suit' (iconic skyscrapers) fully visible. I could lie in bed and enjoy Shanghai's stunning night lights 🌃. The layout was extremely well-partitioned, with separate living room and bedroom areas, avoiding the cramped feeling of a hotel room. The walk-in closet offered excellent storage, equipped with a safe and ironing facilities, perfectly accommodating travel needs. The bathroom featured a three-way dry/wet separation, with both a shower and a bathtub. The vanity area was spacious and tidy, and the toiletries were high-quality. A relaxing bath at the end of the day completely washed away fatigue, adding to the joy of the stay. 🍳 Fully Equipped Home Amenities, More Convenient Than Home Unlike ordinary hotels, the apartment is equipped with a full set of built-in kitchen appliances, including cooking utensils, a refrigerator, and a microwave. For short stays, you can prepare simple meals, and for long stays, you can enjoy the freedom of cooking, completely avoiding the feeling of making do while traveling. The whole apartment has central air conditioning + a constant temperature system, providing balanced and comfortable temperatures. A washer-dryer combo is also provided, making daily laundry super convenient, perfect for medium to long-term stays. 💪 Comprehensive Public Facilities, Balancing Leisure and Business The apartment offers exceptionally complete public facilities, including a heated swimming pool, a professional gym, a tennis court, and a yoga studio. Daily fitness and exercise can be done without leaving the premises, allowing you to maintain your routine even while on a business trip. There's an exclusive residents' lounge and meeting rooms, catering to business negotiations and temporary office needs. You can seamlessly switch between relaxation and business, perfectly suiting the pace of elite travelers. 🤍 Five-Star Attentive Service, High-End Details Everywhere What impressed me most was Ascott's exclusive service! There's 24-hour front desk + concierge + security staff on duty, ensuring timely responses around the clock and high safety and security for entry and exit, making it incredibly reassuring for solo travelers and female guests. The apartment provides free whole-house cleaning and linen changes twice a week, so you don't have to tidy up the room yourself, keeping it clean and fresh at all times. The staff were gentle and meticulous, responding super quickly. Whether it was adjusting room equipment, daily inquiries, or emergency assistance, they were patient, efficient, and highly professional. Intelligent services are integrated throughout, with robot delivery to your door, making it convenient and private. Every detail made the stay comfortable and pleasant. ✅ Summary of a Perfect Stay Experience In the heart of Shanghai, where every inch is precious, it's truly rare to find a serviced apartment with such an excellent location, spaciousness, complete facilities, and attentive service! It lacks the cold rigidity of a hotel and is full of healing, home-like warmth. It's high-end without being ostentatious, refined, and eminently livable. Whether for business trips, family stays, or long-term rentals, it is undoubtedly the top choice in the Huaihai Road and Xintiandi area of Shanghai ✨.

The room was very clean, and since we had a child with us, we booked a family room. The front desk even gave us a complimentary cake and fruit. They also provided extra kids' toothbrushes and bottled water for the little one. The hotel's location is excellent, with a direct subway connection to People's Square Station from the B1 level of the New World next door, making it super convenient for getting around.

As a native Shanghainese who's been working abroad for a long time, I always stay at the Garden Hotel when I return to Shanghai. The service is warm and attentive, and the guests are always distinguished. Okura Group's management is simply exquisite. The location is the best, surrounded by a plethora of fantastic restaurants. Within walking distance, you'll find Lao Xing Xian, Yun He Noodle House, Wu You Xian, Yongfu, and Dadong... you could try a different place every day for a month and still not run out of options. In the evenings, I love to walk to the Cathay Cinema for a movie, or head to Xiangyang Park to watch the square dancers under the plane trees – endless fun!

Would definitely recommend and revisit. Location very convenient. The room was very clean, there was a massage chair which was great. The washroom shower was clean, toilet was clean, sink was clean, bed felt clean, shampoo n soap didn't feel rough. I only took a video of the inside of the room, no picture to upload, but the lobby looks hella nice. The room looked fancy, the carpet inside the room didn't smell stuffy. The AC worked well. Service was great, very fast; cleaners were friendly too. Only complaints would be, elevators wait takes a while, and halfway AC on 7th flr could not cover the entire hallway. .

We booked this eco-friendly hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is very conveniently located: there's a metro station nearby, as well as two shopping centres. The hotel is large, but there was quiet and peaceful. The view from the window was beautiful, even despite the typhoon that was hitting Shanghai these days (our room was on the 12th floor. We chose the hotel because of its location and good breakfasts. The breakfasts were really very delicious and tasty. There was both Chinese and European food. A wide selection of fruits: watermelons, melons, apricots, mangoes, bananas, dragon fruit. There were many different pastries, several types of yogurts, even matcha yogurt. Also, at the exit from the restaurant, there was a Candy Bar with chewy marmalade: you can put the marmalade in a small bag. The room had everything, including a capsule coffee machine, an ironing board, and an iron, which is very convenient. l'd especially like to mention the eco-friendly slippers, which really stand out from the slippers in other hotels: they're very comfortable. The staff was polite and quickly resolved any issues that arise.

An interesting hotel that I visited purely out of curiosity. There's an observation deck on the 14th underground floor where you can see the lake, waterfalls, and mines. Right next to the hotel is the Shimao Wonderland theme park, and the attractions there are really great for testing your courage. In the evening, there's a light and shadow show, telling ancient stories amidst dazzling lights – truly unique and beautiful. The Chinese restaurant at the hotel is delicious, and the water curtain show in the lobby is also quite unique. The rooms are spacious and very clean, with a blend of old money and modern decor. Room: We stayed in a quiet king room on the second floor. It was spacious and fully equipped. The hot spring bath looked small, but it could actually fit two or three people comfortably. Upon check-in, we received two bath salts and a bathtub liner. The bath salts' scent was barely noticeable due to the large size of the tub. The air conditioning in the room had a dehumidifying function, so it never felt damp after a soak. Environment: The hotel is surrounded by several buildings, making it very quiet and private. It has its own small Japanese garden, perfect for photos and feeding fish. Location: It's about a 15-20 minute walk from Zhenbei Road Station on Metro Line 13. This stay far exceeded my expectations! The hotel gave us a free room upgrade, and the overall environment felt like a hidden paradise, incredibly peaceful. Our room faced the lavender park, and even though the park itself seemed a bit neglected, the fresh air and open views made for a very comfortable stay. ✨ **Highlights to absolutely rave about:** 1. **Disney shuttle service is top-notch.** The hotel provides brand-new, clean 7-seater business vans, and the staff handling the transfers were attentive, efficient, and thoughtful. Returning from the park at 9:30 PM, there was massive traffic congestion and countless tourists unable to find a ride. In contrast, the hotel's shuttle service was simply perfect, making this service alone feel worth the price. 2. **Excellent hardware and environmental quality.** The hotel's overall decor and room facilities are well-maintained, hygiene details are spot-on, and the soundproofing is superb. It's truly a haven away from the hustle and bustle, offering excellent rest after a day of sightseeing. 3. **Convenient location.** It's very close to Bicester Village, making dining and shopping incredibly easy. I highly recommend checking out the Xinjiang restaurant in the mall; the ingredients are fresh and the value for money is outstanding. ⚠️ **Minor areas for improvement:** The only drawback was the limited breakfast selection, which didn't quite meet five-star hotel dining standards. If they could upgrade the breakfast variety and enrich the food choices, even if the price per night increased to 1500 RMB, I'd still be more than willing to pay, as the hotel's other hardware, service, and environment are all exceptional. The front desk service was mediocre, with staff appearing rather cold. 📌 **Practical tips for your stay:** Food delivery services cannot reach the rooms, so guests can either dine directly at the shopping center across the street or bring some snacks and drinks in advance. Overall, the minor flaws are overshadowed by the positives; apart from the breakfast, there's almost nothing to complain about. Highly recommended for those visiting Disney.

The hotel room facilities are good, with everything that should be there. The smoking area outside is also very beautiful. The breakfast in the morning is very good, it is self-service, and there are freshly made noodles to eat. If you are thirsty, you can go downstairs at any time to have some drinks and fruits, which are all included in the hotel package. Why the deduction? Like many reviews wrote, the water in the pool here is really too hot. It is the hottest of all the hot springs in Shanghai that I have been to. It feels too hot. I saw that several children could hardly soak in the water for a while. I don’t know why so many people complained. I saw that the management was still saying in the comments that it met the hot spring temperature requirements. What they said is that your water is too hot, and they are giving you suggestions. Everyone in the hot spring said that the water was hot, not that you violated any regulations... It takes talent to reply like this

I visited Qianyun after looking at dozens of places in the area. I wanted to be away from typical city area, have a bathtub and nice outdoor area, and with easy access to Shanghai Disneyland. Qianyun met all those requirements and more! The location was immediately very serene and surrounded by forest, but still easy to access lots of waimai food delivery options. They were also very kind and proactive about sharing information about local restaurants and activities, and provide a breakfast and evening fruit every day. They offer free car transport to Disneyland, and I was excited to use this service but I ended up enjoying my time at the hotel so much that I opted to stay and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere instead! The hotel pets are so friendly - within five minutes the little cat Banban was on my lap and purring. The room itself is decorated very nicely with all the amenities you need. The bathtub inside is very comfortable and I loved the outdoor hot spring tub as well. The attention to hygiene is very highly emphasized and I was impressed with how clean and luxurious everything felt. The location in Xintiandi is unbeatable, and there are many foreigners around. Breakfast is served on the first floor and is available until 11 AM on weekends. The breakfast itself is truly commendable: a wide variety of fresh, delicious food, and excellent service. I would definitely return just for the breakfast. Dolores provided great service, making check-in very fast. There's also a turndown service. When I called the front desk because my foot was chafed, they quickly sent up band-aids and alcohol swabs. The room has a vanity table, but the smart toilet and hairdryer are a bit old-fashioned; it would be a bonus if they were updated later. The bedding is a tiny bit firm, but I still slept very comfortably. The room also has wireless charging for watches, headphones, and phones, which is very thoughtful. The bathroom is much better than the one at the Andaz next door. Since both the bathtub and shower are within the glass door, there are no strange odors. The gym is on B1. Check-in was a bit frustrating. The person ahead of me had an issue with their booking channel that took 20 minutes to resolve, and the front desk didn't bother to open another queue. I had to re-queue myself. Their problem-solving skills definitely need improvement. The Bund view from the hotel, however, was no joke – genuinely good. Note that the West Building only offers views of the Oriental Pearl Tower; for a view of the entire financial district, you absolutely need to book the East Building. It poured rain the day I was there, completely ruining the river view, which was a bit of a waste. The shower stall was cramped to fit a bathtub, making it even smaller than those in budget hotels. Parking is free, and you just cross the street from the underground garage to reach the riverside, which is convenient.

This year, after moving abroad, I brought my family back to visit and chose the Peace Hotel again. The service has improved even further. From the moment we entered, the bellhops and front desk staff were incredibly attentive. We arrived at 10:30 AM, and because we had two young children, one only 10 months old, the front desk allowed us to check in early to rest. They then arranged for a baby cot, bathtub, bottle warmer, children's toiletries, and baby care products. Every interaction showed incredible care and attention to detail. I'm so grateful to all the staff for helping us have a perfect holiday. Finally, a special shout-out to the greeters at the entrance. The hotel's location is excellent, and cleanliness wasn't an issue. However, the facilities had some significant drawbacks. The bathroom door was very problematic; the toilet and shower shared the same glass door, which was extremely difficult to slide and very inconvenient (as shown in the picture). There were too few power outlets, making charging devices a hassle. The light switches weren't clearly marked, and the night light shone directly into your eyes. Regarding service, the younger male front desk staff member was rude and unprofessional. When I checked in, I wasn't the only guest, and he was impatient and impolite with everyone, not using any basic pleasantries. He also didn't inform me about any of the hotel's facilities; I had to find the laundry room myself later. At one point, a hotel call came in to the female staff member opposite him. She wasn't sure about the situation, hung up, and then asked the male staff member, who directly mocked the guest who had called for inquiries – that was completely out of line. He also made a point of pretending to be busy with other things (even though guests could see his screen and he clearly wasn't busy) before grudgingly responding to guest requests. Although the hotel's physical amenities aren't a major issue, I will not be staying here again due to the service attitude. Being next to a university, I'm sure they won't miss one guest.

The location is unbeatable. It's super convenient – just take the escalator up to the second floor from the Purple Vine Road metro station exit towards MixC, and you'll see the hotel. It would be even better if there was a convenience store nearby. The hotel environment is also excellent, with large floor-to-ceiling windows that provide amazing natural light in the morning. The room itself is very tidy. The only downside is that the hallway decor is a bit peculiar, especially the wallpaper – it actually startled me the first time I stayed here. Overall, it's great value for money, and I'll likely stay here again next year when I come to Shanghai.

The facilities are comprehensive, and the front desk offers free popcorn, drinks, and flower tea. The room hygiene is impeccable, making for a comfortable and peaceful stay!

The Jiayu Hotel is right next to Jiaxuan, essentially two types of accommodations under one brand. Jiayu is more like an apartment-style hotel, which is a great option if you're traveling with children or elderly family members. You can choose a suite with a kitchen, complete with an induction cooktop, range hood, and dishwasher.

Cleanliness: Excellent Ambiance: Very satisfied Service: Top-notch service Facilities: Facilities are very new, the refrigerator and washing machine have both been disinfected. This feels like a hotel with excellent value for money. The cleanliness and ambiance are both superb. I especially love the large refrigerator in the room; it can hold all the drinks I buy.
