Qingdao Metro Map & Key Lines

Qingdao Metro currently operates 8 fledged lines covering more than 352 kilometres with 172 stations. These lines reach urban areas, popular coastal tourist zones and outer suburban regions. Each station has bilingual signs in Simplified Chinese and English, which helps international visitors easily find their way and transfer between lines.

• Line 1 (Yellow): Cross-bay main line Crossing Jiaozhou Bay, it connects Qingdao’s old downtown, main railway stations, Zhanqiao Pier and Taidong Night Market.

Qingdao Metro Operating Hours

Most metro services start between 5:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. The majority of lines run their final services between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. local time.

Times vary slightly between individual lines and stations, so if you are planning late‑evening sightseeing, always check last‑train departure timetables posted on station information boards before setting off. 

Line 8 airport services finish relatively earlier, with final trains leaving Jiaodong Airport around 10:00 p.m. local time. If your flight lands very late at night after metro services close, you will need to take a taxi or private car service into the city.

Top Qingdao Attractions Reachable by Metro

Most of Qingdao’s must-see tourist spots are a short walk from metro stations.
