Every time I visit Fukuoka, I stay here. It's super convenient, just across the street from Hakata Station. The rooms are quite spacious, the bedding is excellent, and the service is top-notch. From check-in to housekeeping, and even calling a taxi when checking out, they're always accommodating. I've given them good reviews many times, so I won't elaborate too much, but I do have two suggestions for improvement: 1. The breakfast is truly too simple. The main issue is that in all the times I've stayed here, the breakfast has been almost identical with no changes whatsoever. It got to the point where I didn't even want to eat it on my last day. 2. I wish the rooms had body lotion. Why do they provide makeup remover, face wash, and skincare products, but no body lotion or hand cream? I don't understand. Ultimately, if the breakfast could be varied and offer more options, I would gladly continue staying here.

This was my first time staying at Hotel New Otani Fukuoka, and its location is fantastic. It's right next to the Nanakuma Line subway station, and you can walk directly along Watanabe-dori to the Tenjin shopping district. Nearby, you'll find Mitsukoshi, Daimaru department stores, Daikoku Drugstore, sports brand shops, electronics stores, and more – making shopping incredibly convenient. As for the stay itself, the room size is generous for a Japanese hotel. I'd give the cleanliness, environment, and service a perfect five out of five, and the facilities a four. The staff's politeness and enthusiasm also deserve a five. However, I do need to point out that the hotel's breakfast doesn't quite live up to its five-star standard. The restaurant on the first floor feels small, and the breakfast selection is just average, nothing special. Also, with the current trend of non-smoking policies, why doesn't the hotel implement a complete smoking ban in all guest rooms? For guests with asthma who can't stand the smell of smoke, this feels unfriendly, doesn't it? Even if they've tried to remove the smoke smell, the lingering scent absorbed into the room, carpet, and walls still feels very strong. Smelling it can even trigger coughing and wheezing. If they could improve and upgrade the breakfast to better match a five-star hotel's positioning, and implement a complete smoking ban in guest rooms (with designated smoking areas), I believe even more guests would happily choose to stay at Hotel New Otani.

A modern hotel resort situated right at the top of a hill, as reflected in the its name. We were greeted warmly with a welcome cup of hot tea, warm hand towels and really good chocolates. The breakfast comes as a set and it is highly nutritious, and of high quality. I would highly recommend breakfast here. The room is clean and of a comfortable size with birds occasionally flying and chirping about in the trees outside the windows, against the backdrop of the Fukuoka City. Would definitely return. Parking is available right outside the resort entrance.

The location of the hotel was superb! Walkable easily to Canal City mall and many other wonderful cafes and breakfast joints. There are 2 Yatai street stalls that open just across the street from mid week onwards so it was a nice experience to have this meal option just a stones throw away. Cleanliness is good but I was quite put off on the first day when I checked in to the room to find some clipped nails on the carpet. The rest of the room was very clean so I wished they had done a better job vacuuming. The rest of the room is functional and comfortable, nothing fancy. Mine was a double bed and just note that space wise, you can really fully open only 1 large luggage at a time. It’s a bit of a squeeze for 18m2 if it’s two people. The hotel facilities itself is simple - the large public bath with an open air section is fantastic. It was a real highlight for the trip.

The location is great! It is close to the subway station and near Naka River. You can walk to Yatai Zone in a short distance. It is also near Donki, MatsuKiyo, Kawabata Shopping Street and Ichiran Ramen Original Store. The hotel has a luxury design. The room is cozy. Even though it is 12 sq.m., I can still unpack my 28-inch luggage by moving the chair aside. There are pajamas provided. Great facilities overall, but the water temperature was a not that hot (I expected it to be hotter). You can drop your luggage at the hotel. You can borrow an umbrella. Free beer provided in the evening at the bar. The staff is very nice, very welcoming and very helpful.

The second time, there were no rooms at this hotel, so I stayed at the Tenjin One Building One Fukuoka Hotel for two nights (same chain hotel). Here we go~~ For me, except for the pillow, this place was better than the new One Hotel!! Exit Hakata Station's east exit and take the main road on the right. A leisurely 10-minute walk, a brisk 5-minute walk. This is it!!

Summary: don't stay here. You've been warned. I've been to many capsule hotels in Japan. None were as horribly bad and overpriced as this one. Good: close to the station and the staff do what they can within their (very confined) perceived limits Bad: no sound insulation so you get to enjoy ambient sounds like traffic, trains and other patrons scuffling about during nighttime. The mattress is moldy, dirty and super thin so it doesn't feel comfortable unless you're used to sleeping on a moldy floor. The layout makes absolutely no sense at all. They tried cramming in as many capsules as possible in one small area and called it a day. 2 toilet stalls for 62 capsules? Laughable. The bath area is minuscule so you're queueing just to get a cramped dip. Lockers are minuscule and the luggage area is right next to the reception so you have to cross public area just to get some stuff out of your luggage. No space to unpack in peace either. I'd rather have them drop the breakfast and bathing area in favour of fixing the one thing they're supposed to deliver: a good night's sleep. Consider this place a last resort, not a proper stay.

This was my first time staying here. I think all the necessary amenities for a stay are provided. The highlight seems to be that planes fly directly overhead. They are quite close. However, there are no flights after 10 PM, so it's not a problem. On the other hand, it faces a busy main road with a lot of traffic, and there is noise, especially from speeding vehicles and police sirens. The building looks old, so the soundproofing may be insufficient. The nearest convenience store is a bit of a distance away, as you have to cross the main road. However, there is a Don Quijote nearby, so you can do some light shopping. The spa has a small bathtub. The sauna might be full with just three people in it. Swimsuits are required, but you can rent them for 500 yen. There are changing rooms, but no toilets or water dispensers. There is a limousine parked at the main entrance, and it seems that it can be used for pick-up and drop-off, but I didn't confirm this. It's supposed to be a resort, but it feels like only this area has a resort feel. There are some shared cooking facilities, so it might be suitable for groups.

The hotel is very large, the hot spring is on the 2nd floor, there is an open-air pool and indoor pool, and the bath is very large. The hotel is right by the sea, the window of the room is facing the sea, the view is first-class, you can go to the beach for a walk and swim. The hotel's pool is only open every afternoon, we arrived at the hotel at 6 pm, and checked out at 10 pm the next day, so we were not able to go swimming in the pool. Breakfast and dinner are very rich! We have two children (3 and 8 years old), 3 years free, 8 years old will pay 8,000 yen (including breakfast and dinner and accommodation). There is no water in the room, but a pot of ice water is prepared. There is no bathtub in the room, so you must go to the big bath. The hotel has a washing machine and a dryer, 200 yen per time.

There are convenience stores and supermarkets nearby, and you can get to Tenjin and Hakata by bus in addition to the subway, so transportation is very convenient. Plus, they give you two bottles of water every day, and there's a hot/cold water dispenser and a microwave, which is really nice. Oh, and Hakata Daruma Ramen is right next door, super close and delicious!

I stayed for 3 nights. Let's start with the positives, which actually make up most of my experience~ +1. **Convenient Transportation:** This hotel is incredibly well-located, just 1 kilometer from Hakata Station, Fukuoka's largest transportation hub. I walked there every time. From Hakata Station, you can take a bus directly to the international terminal in about 20 minutes. You can also catch trains here to Dazaifu, Yanagawa, Mojiko, and Kokura. It's even closer to Tenjin Station, another major transport hub, at just over 700 meters away. +2. **Excellent Location:** This area seems to be Nakasu, a lively nightlife district. Many restaurants here stay open until 1-2 AM. There are also numerous 24-hour convenience stores nearby, and their bread is exceptionally good. The famous Nakasu Yatai (food stall) street is just a 5-minute walk away. This area is bustling from morning till night. +3. **Super Fast Wi-Fi:** The hotel's Wi-Fi was the fastest I've ever used in all my years of traveling. Speed tests easily showed upload and download speeds of 100 Mbps, sometimes even faster. So, no worries about internet access. Now, for the downsides: -1. **Small Room & Pricey:** The room was quite small. While a small room isn't necessarily a deal-breaker, this hotel was also very expensive... I paid over 4,000 yen for three nights, which is even pricier than hotels in Tokyo or Osaka. I'm not sure why it was so costly. -2. **Poor Light Blocking Curtains:** The curtains themselves are fine at blocking light. However, there's significant light leakage around the edges of the curtains. Since the bed is directly under the window, if the morning sun is strong, the light seeping through the edges will definitely wake you up. So, is it worth staying here? If the price were lower, say around 900 yen per night, I think it would be a very suitable option. After all, the location is incredibly convenient. I hope they redesign the curtains to block light more effectively. Although I filmed a video, I can't upload it using the browser on my computer, so I'll just stick to text.

It's only a few minutes from the subway station, but the street has too many crows overhead and no cover. One day during our trip, my husband walked by and got bird droppings all over his clothes! The hotel room was really small, and there was a sewer smell in the bathroom at night. The mattress and pillows were very thin, the duvet was too thick, and the air conditioner blew directly onto the head of the bed, so I didn't sleep well at night. However, amenities from the room can be picked up from the lobby downstairs or requested from the staff.
