Firstly, I was put into a room that I did not book and was told I cannot change to a room that I had paid for because the hotel was overbooked. The front desk, eventually, moved me once I had pointed out that it was a health hazard to stay in the room they assigned to me because they had painted it that very day and I could still smell the paint fumes.
After being moved, I was put into a room that I actually paid for. The toilet leaked and the shower was blocked.
I will say though that the front desk was very friendly and tried to help as much as they could.
All in all, it was not a good experience and I won't be staying again.
Well, from what I booked, it was supposed to be a 2-bedroom apartment. However, I was given a 1bed (Room.303), and when I went down to enquire, the reception lady wasn't helpful and blamed it on the app. Then I had to ask for a wifi password, which I would have assumed you would be given at reception. I ordered something, and when I went down to get it, the same reception lady gave me a bit of attitude when asking her how to open the main door so I could collect. Now I'm not normally one to complain, but I guess she didn't realise she was dealing with a person who has worked over 15 years in reservations, and I am very much aware of how OTAs work. I am still very upset about the wrong room choice I was given and made to feel like I'm the one who made an error. Then there was NO iron and hairdryer in the room. Apparently, they don't have any available from what I gathered from the housekeeping lady.
Besides that, the housekeeping lady was exceptional, and the apartment was very clean upon check-in. Hopefullysomeone from the place will address these issues.

10. ”If you're looking for a home away from home, this hotel is it! The cozy atmosphere, delicious breakfast, and friendly staff make it the perfect retreat.
New hotel 2024, closed territory, looks like a castle, very unusual and original. Convenient location, good area. Very decent breakfasts, the hotel creates the feeling of a 4-star hotel, although it is a 3-star hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Everything smells of newness, but of course we were so lucky) I recommend!
There is the Chinese Embassy near the hotel, and there is a football field at the door. The surrounding environment is very good! There is a large supermarket at the door. The breakfast is very rich and tastes good. There is also a bar and restaurant on the 5th floor with complete facilities.
The room is clean and tidy, and it is cleaned every day.
Conveniently located to all places of interests like the Sandton Mall and Restaurants. Very clean and quiet hotel with friendly staff who were eager to assist promptly and we had no issues at all during our enture stsy.
No air conditioning, there will be problems in summer! The mall is back, you have to walk 200 meters to climb! No toothbrush, toothpaste, shower gel, shampoo, just a soap! Transfer charging equipment to ask her! Service environment can! Download Bolt first!

AadvnturerExcellent location. 10min to airport by free shuttle that runs every 30min. Friendly staff from reception to porter to shuttle driver. Hotel is beautiful, lovely opulent decor. Bed massive, delux comfort. Mattress and pillows just perfect. Bathroom very roomy with shower and bath, nice bath amenities. Will definately stay again.

GGuest UserIt's giving more 3 than 4 stars? Customer service poor.
Holiday Inn was full so this was a close alternative.
Had amenities but their outlets were in the kitchen far from the bed? Not very business traveller or relaxing traveller friendly.
I booked a queen studio which had a kitchenette which was great for warming food etc. Decor a bit tired so could do with some love. But apart from a very dirty bottle left on the balcony it was clean.
Location is excellent for Rosebank Mall even if you have to play chicken to cross the road 😆
Customer service was severely lacking. I thought Radisson Red staff were slow but at least they were always there. You can't call frontdesk . It's all QR codes and WhatsApp. Late check out would be the cost of another night R1980. Staff had a, I dunno attitude and werent very helpful. 1 security guard and 1 young lady in the lounge are the only exceptions. Outlets in the lounge and office were local only and I had to really ask to get where I could buy adapters / converters.
Next time I'll go elsewhere. They're not customer focused enough for me.

DDeborah-AnneI have stayed at the Quatermain before, and I am happy to say that the whole experience was once again just lovely! I had arrived VERY early on my check-in day and the staff made sure that I had a room well before the scheduled check-in time AND they upgraded me too!
The staff at the hotel are friendly, helpful and all round just a delight!! Even with the ongoing challenges that loadshedding (scheduled power outtages) brings to the smooth operation of any business.
The gardens are immaculate and tranquil, and it is unbelievable to think you are in the middle of everything with the peace and quiet that pervades.
The little bistro / restaurant's menu is thankfully limited, as it means that the quality can be assured and anything that is made tastes deliciously homemade. The evening buffet is very good value for money!
Just a small note that due to loadshedding, sometimes the email/booking system gives some issues - so don't forget to just follow up once booked :)
RRAUDALES BANEGASWe had a problem with the safe and they moved us immediately. The rooms are very large and comfortable. All the staff are very friendly and willing to help you with anything. They recommended a tourist tour and it was very good. The restaurant is very good and reasonably priced. They have shuttle service and they can take you anywhere for a reasonable price as well.

Tteachutube1I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the exceptional service we received at this hotel. My elderly mother traveled all the way from China to Johannesburg and then to Windhoek, and the hotel staff truly went above and beyond to ensure her comfort and safety. They arranged a seamless pickup upon her arrival and a timely drop-off the following day, which made her feel incredibly supported throughout her journey. She raved about the excellent service, and I was impressed by the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. The breakfast was delightful, offering a great start to the day. Overall, we had a fantastic experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a warm and accommodating place to stay!
