We stayed as a family of three, including an elementary school-aged child.
We paid the child's rate, but there were no amenities for the children and they had to sleep in the same bed as us, which was quite difficult with an older child. We didn't need amenities for everyone, but I would have liked at least towels for everyone.
The room and bathroom were spacious, clean, luxurious, and comfortable.
A hotel that gives a 5 star feel. Warm welcoming from the moment we reach till we leave the hotel. The hotel breakfast was good too. Located within walking distance from the train station and shopping street. Overall was a wonderful experience.
A moderately sized hotel in a convenient location, easily accessible by car. Parking is available — just give your parking ticket to the front desk, and they will charge ¥1,000 per day. When leaving, present the ticket again and they’ll issue an additional pass based on the total parking duration.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
The room is of a standard size for Japan.
The downside: the towels had a faint smell of cigarette smoke.
I booked a triple room, but it was very spacious for a Japanese hotel, so I stayed comfortably and comfortable~ The staff are bright and friendly. Welcome service, drink service, beer service, etc. were so good. Breakfast is local and you can eat domino sashimi and rice bowls and it is delicious ~
The shuttle bus is right in front of you, and even if you take a bus tour, you get off right in front of you. The location is the best.
The hotel is located near Dogo Bath, a three- to four-minute walk from the bath. The environment is beautiful, and the facilities are complete (typical of hot spring hotels, including free massage chairs). The hot spring baths are comfortable, clean, and the staff are very helpful. The rooms are clean, and the breakfast is plentiful.
Pretty good. The room was a bit small but very clean, perfect for one person. Right across the street downstairs are the tram station and the main shopping street, so the location is absolutely fantastic. There are lots of restaurants, and Matsuyama Castle entrance is just a few steps away. The local specialty, Tai Meshi (sea bream rice), is really good and worth trying.
I stayed here as part of my Tokyo Love Story pilgrimage. The facilities, hygiene, and environment were all absolutely perfect, truly impeccable. The only issue was that when I booked, it showed no breakfast included, but the reservation slip provided by the front desk indicated breakfast. I returned the breakfast voucher to the front desk and asked them to double-check, as 3000 yen isn't a small amount. The front desk said they would verify and call my room, but I never heard back, even until check-out. For a hotel of this caliber, I really think this is unacceptable, especially since this was the part I was most looking forward to in Matsuyama. However, despite this minor flaw, the rest of my experience was absolutely perfect.
The front desk is on 13/F and the guest rooms are located from 5/F to 12/F, in which the guests will have to bring along all the belongings from G/F to 13/F and then bring again all the belongings to the designated guest room from 5/F to 12/F.... not convenience enough
The hotel is clean and tidy. For self-check-in, staff are available to assist. You can pick up skincare products and toothbrushes at the front desk on the 2nd floor. Guests can enjoy the hotel's hot spring for free. It's very convenient for shopping, with Takashimaya right next door and two convenience stores downstairs.
Transportation is incredibly convenient. Please note, it's right next to Matsuyama-shi Station (not JR Matsuyama Station). If you need to go to JR Matsuyama Station, there's a tram stop downstairs that also provides direct access to Okaido, the Matsuyama Castle Ropeway, Dogo Onsen, and more. From Iyo-Tetsu Matsuyama-shi Station, where the hotel is located, you can also directly reach Baishinji Temple, a popular spot for fans of 'Tokyo Love Story.' Additionally, there's a highway bus terminal nearby, offering more economical travel to places like Takamatsu, Tokushima, and Osaka compared to taking the train, just for your reference.
The buffet breakfast is indeed excellent; the five types of orange juice and the sea bream rice bowl alone make it worth it. Every afternoon until evening, welcome drinks and coffee are also available for self-service on the 2nd floor.

WWuchubenxiangdaoyouyongdeyemanI booked a Japanese-style room. The room was spacious and very clean, and came with complimentary snacks, sake, and orange juice. Both breakfast and dinner were fantastic. Dinner was a 10-course Kaiseki meal, and every dish was delicious. Breakfast also offered a wide variety of choices, with the seafood donburi being particularly outstanding. There were four different baths to choose from. Overall, I felt it offered excellent value for money.
Kkay_fightExcellent! The location is fantastic, right on Ookaido Street, meaning you can shop comfortably protected from both sun and rain. The onsen (hot spring bath) on the upper floor was exceptionally clean and delightful. They also offer free laundry washing, with drying available for 100 yen. Step right outside, and you'll find the tram station and a bustling food street. Virtually all of Matsuyama's highly recommended restaurants are within easy walking distance. Cannot recommend enough!
