Great place to stay. Super modern amenities, everything goes seamless from the pickup service, check-in, and chatting with the staffs (you need Wechat). While this place is about 30 minutes away from downtown Zhangjiajie and Tianmen mountain cableway station, you can truly feel being at Zhangjiajie as you get to stay at a place that is surrounded by foggy mountains. Breakfast buffet is complimentary and pretty decent and other Chinese menu that you can order at the hotel restaurant are phenomenal. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend this place to other travelers.

Getting to Orange Isle is super convenient; you can either walk across Xiangjiang Bridge or take the subway just one stop. It's also only about 3 stops to downtown areas like Wuyi Square. Environment: The surrounding area is a bit so-so, with a few construction sites, but it's very quiet. Service and hygiene were both excellent, making me feel right at home.

The transportation is incredibly convenient. Coming from Fenghuang, it was a high-speed train transfer to the subway, about twenty minutes, and then a 7-8 minute walk from the exit. From the outside, it looked pretty average, but once inside, the lobby and facilities were really nice. Since it was summer break, there were a lot of families with kids during peak season, but the staff were super friendly, patient, and guided us with great composure. We stayed in a river-view room on the 20th floor, and the scenery was absolutely stunning. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and hygienic, no issues there. Orange Isle is just one subway stop away, and Pozi Street is within walking distance, as is Wuyi Square. What's also worth praising is the breakfast – it's incredibly comprehensive, with American, Chinese, and local specialties all available. I highly recommend the rice noodles; they were super delicious (suited my personal taste) 😄. All in all, I recommend this place. If you're coming to Changsha, book here!

For the view of the mountains, this stay is so awesome. If you mainly want to see the Zhangjiajie National Park, I really recommend this hotel. For me, I underestimated the amount of time it would take to get to Wulingyuan and Zhangjiajie city. It was a little inconvenient for me because I had to call taxis if I wanted to go out to eat and it was kind of far. A lot of taxi drivers would ask me for a tip because the location was difficult to reach. Apart from the location issue, I really enjoyed my stay. The breakfast was delicious, the staff were so accommodating and kind and even drove me to Zhangjiajie city on my last day. The dogs were so cute and the view of the mountains was stunning. If you want a perfect getaway from the city and stunning views, then this is the place for you. If you want to hangout in the more lively places, it might be kind of a hassle. This hotel is perfect for those who want a peaceful and relaxing getaway.

Perfect location close to the national park entrance and very peaceful after the histle of cities.Staff were fantastic- couldn’t have asked for better sevice. Staff organised everything in the park for us and dropped us off and picked us up. Food was fabulous and catered to is which was much appreciated- best food in all China for us.So fresh, straight from the garden.

We had a great stay in the duplex room at this hotel. The room was lovely. All staff were wonderful and very helpful. Even before we arrived, they were able to help us out with any queries we had for visiting the area. They booked our tickets in advance for Zhangjiajie national park and Tianmen mountain (even though we were moving to another hotel to be nearer Tianmen mountain at the end of our trip). They were also able to provide us with a good itinerary for those visits. They also have a cute family of cats and kittens living on their roof garden at the moment! Would highly recommend staying there.

Inside, everything is thoughtfully arranged—clean, spacious, and equipped with the essentials for a relaxing stay. Large windows often bring in views of the gardens or ponds, making it easy to feel connected to the outdoors even when you’re inside. The service was outstanding. All my needs and questions were answered promptly. What really defines the lodge is its balance: it offers comfort without losing its natural charm. It’s not trying to be flashy or luxurious in a conventional sense—instead, it succeeds by creating a peaceful environment where the surroundings take center stage. Overall, Zhangjiajie Idyllic Pondside Timber Lodge is ideal for travelers looking for a calm, nature-focused stay. Between the gardens, the serene ponds, and the cozy rooms, it provides a refreshing break from busier, more commercial accommodations.

Staying at Four Seasons Creek Side was the best decision we made for our Zhangjiajie trip! The hotel is located right next to Baofeng Lake. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and check-in and check-out were both very efficient. They even provided free high-speed rail station pickup and transfers to the East Gate of the Forest Park, accommodating all our needs. The location is also super convenient, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit. Highly recommended!

Amenities: The facilities are comprehensive, with a laundry room which is very convenient. It also features smart controls. Cleanliness: The hygiene is good, and tidying was prompt. Environment: The environment is excellent, simple yet elegant, with a tea room and a lounge area. Service: The service is great. The front desk staff even helped me plan my travel itinerary.

Wonderful stay! Everyone was really kind, organized both our airport pickup and the drop off back to the city for free (which we did not expect). And most importantly, spent time to design a one day itinerary for us so we could see the best parts of the park with limited time. The place is only a 5-10 minute walk to the entrance which was awesome! They also kindly upgraded us to the 360 degree view room, which was incredible. I posted the view from the terrace, really lovely to wake up to this view every morning. The one thing I would say is bring an eye mask. With all the lovely big windows it does get pretty bright early in the morning. It didn't bother us since we had to wake up early to visit the park. Overall I'd say it was perfect and pretty much everything we could've wanted
