Lanting Elegant Restaurant Hotel (Zhangjiajie National Forest Park Sign Store)

All hotel personnel are friendly and extremely helpful. Added them to Wechat and response is super fast. Location is super good as it's walking distance to Charming Xiangxi show (＜ 5 mins walk) National Forest East (＜ 20 mins walk) Shopping street - Xibu Street (＜ 10 mins) Pleasant environment next to river and fresh air and clean river water. Breakfast is simple spread but soy milk is delicious! Highly recommended!!!

The hotel provides services in helping us to plan and book the entrance tickets for various scenic spots, which is very helpful for our itinery.

This was my second stay here, and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. The views are beautiful and relaxing, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I also noticed that the dining area has been improved since my last visit. The menu feels more varied and offers a wider range of flavors. Compared to last year, when the food was more traditionally Chinese, the current menu seems a bit more international and suitable for different tastes. Overall, I had another wonderful stay and would happily return again.

We stayed here for 5 nights along with my parents, our rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. The amenities were brilliant, bottled water provided every day, laundry services were on our floor. The staff Xiao Ting and Xiao Sheng were super friendly on the day we arrived, they came out from their front desk to personally greet us and offered help with our suitcases. Xiao Ting helped us arrange tickets to see the 72 Wonder Towers on our first night, we thoroughly enjoyed the sights, light performances, and live performances - it was amazing. Xiao Sheng really took his time with us to create our itinerary for the remaining days, it took a while as I only speak English, I converse with my parents in Cantonese but my dad spoke Mandarin. So there was a bit of back and forth between my dad, Xiao Sheng and my husband to ensure we included everything we wanted to see. However, on our 3rd day we had planned to go and see Tianmen Mountain and walk up the 999 steps and just be in awe of everything. Unfortunately, the weather had other plans - it had rained during the night and was raining lightly during the rest of the day which meant our views were covered by clouds and fog. This didn't deter us as we still walked up the 999 steps and appreciated the engineering and meaning behind the "Stairway to Heaven" - my husband and I even walked up to the summit. The next day, it was very sunny and the weather was warm and perfect for us to see the Avatar Mountains and explore the Forst Park - Bailong Elevator, Golden Whip, No. 1 Bridge and many more amazing views that took our breath away. But, I couldn't help but want to go back to Tianmen Mountain so I contacted Xiao Ting via WeChat and she really tried to make it work for us to go back that afternoon but time wasn't on our side. So we decided to leave it for the next day and hoped for the good weather to continue. In the end, we did manage to fit it in on our last full day, this meant a lot to me as it was my dad's 70th birthday. To which, my husband and I walked back up the 999 steps again with my thoughts of wishing my dad continued happiness and good health on his birthday and with the clear weather along with the amazing views around me I hope my wish will come true. Overall, my stay at Lanting has been a very memorable stay as it was to celebrate my dad's birthday and it was for me and my husband's first trip to China. Lanting definitely delivered above and beyond in my eyes but their customer service is 100 out of 100, thank you to the day and night staff but I can't thank Xiao Ting and Xiao Sheng enough.

Rooms are large, clean, modern and as pictured. Breakfast buffet has both Chinese and western dishes. We booked our admission tickets for national forest park, tianmen mountain and grand canyon through concierge (Ting) and they've kindly provided discounted tickets (saved approx 20-30rmb per ticket), booked us entry times for forest park and provided daily route planning. Location is very convenient, approximately a 10 min scenic walk from the east gate entrance to forest park. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful and very pleasant stay at this hotel in Wulingyuan. The staff was pleasant and very helpful in making arrangements for our visits to the Zhangjiajie National Forest and Tianmen Mountain. A very special thank you to the entire event planning staff. They are great! 🙏🏻

We stayed at Lanting for 3 consecutive nights and we are really satisfied. It is just 2 mins drive from the National Park so it's very convenient to us. Thank you for helping us to arrange for pick-up from our previous hotel, thank you for allowing us early check-in, and i'm truly grateful for not charging us penalty for misplacing the door card. Xie xie ni men.

I had a wonderful stay with my best friend. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located near major attractions. The staff were welcoming and attentive, making us feel at home throughout our stay. We especially enjoyed the spacious room and beautiful views. Overall, it was a memorable experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
