This is a really warm and cozy hotel. From the moment you step into the lobby, the kind and lovely front desk staff handle check-in with meticulous care. The room and restaurant service staff are polite, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast offers a wide variety. The self-parking area is spacious and well-organized. I highly recommend staying here.

This hotel is conveniently located near Zhangye West Station, making dining and getting around very easy. As always, the Hampton by Hilton rooms meet their standard, the service is warm and patient, and the breakfast offers a rich variety. It's a great hotel choice for a trip to Zhangye.

When I came to Dunhuang, I chose this newly renovated hotel, hoping the facilities would be better.
**Location:** I saw in the description when I booked that it was very close to the night market. In reality, it's about a 15-20 minute walk, which isn't super close. However, taxis in Dunhuang are cheap, starting at around 6 RMB, so it's still very convenient. It's also a short taxi ride to Mingsha Mountain, Mogao Grottoes, and the Dunhuang Museum.
**Environment:** Since it's newly renovated, it's indeed quite good. The shower has great water pressure and hot water. The facilities are also complete, and having a humidifier is a big plus. I was told the fridge was removed because few guests use it this season, but after calling the front desk, they sent one up. Also, the main road outside is under construction, so there's some noise during the day, but it doesn't affect sleep at night.
**Cleanliness:** It's cleaned daily and is quite tidy. The breakfast selection is quite rich, with both Chinese and Western options. They have freshly made beef noodles, lamb soup, and wontons, so you definitely won't go hungry.

The location is fantastic! The shuttle from Mingsha Mountain to the city center stops right outside the hotel, making everything super convenient. It's truly right by the night market, and just a short walk to the famous 'fancy' restroom photo op. The service was excellent and communication was smooth. They helped us upgrade to a room with a view of Mingsha Mountain and even offered breakfast delivered to the room, though we had an early train and couldn't enjoy it the next day. Next time, I'll definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends. Our one-day trip to Mogao Grottoes and Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring was incredibly fulfilling and wonderful. We visited 20 grottoes in one day, ate the famous Jingyuan Galu hand-grabbed mutton, went to Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring, watched the sunset, and saw the night lights and the Big Dipper. There was absolutely enough time to enjoy everything. Plus, there's a bus stop right by the hotel – the experience was really great! My only regret is not staying longer in Dunhuang. I'll definitely be back.

Just a few minutes' walk from Dunhuang Night Market, the hotel was clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The front desk staff were all very welcoming and always had a smile on their faces. Ms. Xiaoqing from the tourism department, who picked us up, was also incredibly warm and hospitable. Big thumbs up! Next time I come to Dunhuang, I'll definitely stay at Dunhuang Hotel again.

The hotel wasn't really up to standard. I booked an 'honourable room' because it had an air purifier. However when I tried to cool down the room with the air con it didn't work. I called reception and they said the air con wasn't turned on and only 'natural ventilation' was available! And this was when the air pollution outside was at very high levels.
Really not acceptable in a supposed 4-star hotel that advertises that it has air con - this is part of the reason I booked! The staff were as helpful as they coukd be under the circumstances - they bought in a fan which made the temperature bearable.

Navigating by car was easy, and there's parking available both in front and behind the hotel. The room was well-equipped with smart features, including a humidifier. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, always ready to help – truly fantastic. Breakfast offered a good variety and tasted great. The hotel's location is excellent, with plenty of dining options nearby, especially Brothers Barbecue, which was outstanding. Several attractions are within walking distance, making my trip to Wuwei very enjoyable. The only minor drawback was a slight odor in our room.

This was the second Mercure hotel on our trip, and overall, the facilities were quite good.
**Facilities:** The hotel is well-equipped. The lobby is clean and bright. As expected from an Accor property, the decor style and design elements are largely consistent. What truly stood out was that on each floor's common area, right outside the elevator, there was a row of complimentary bottled water. This is quite rare in other hotels and very convenient for guests to grab. Breakfast is served on the 21st floor, offering a panoramic view and a great sense of openness. On another note, staying on the 14th floor, the water pressure was a bit low, and the shower felt like it didn't have enough flow.
**Hygiene:** The room's cleanliness was generally acceptable, but I found a long hair stuck to a tile in the bathroom. It felt like the cleaning wasn't thorough, which was a bit off-putting. Also, there was a small tear on the bed linen. I'm not sure if it was an oversight, but ideally, it should have been replaced.
**Service:** The hotel's front desk manager took my feedback very seriously. Afterwards, they even proactively called us to inform us that the issues had been rectified. This was truly excellent.

This was one of the most comfortable stays I've ever had! The front desk staff were incredibly attentive, and the lady who checked me in was so kind and gentle. The room was spotless and tidy, and all the facilities were smart-enabled. The surrounding area has excellent amenities, making dining very convenient. The breakfast at this hotel is absolutely fantastic – a perfect blend of Western and Chinese options. They have wonderful staff, delicious food, and even tiny wontons for the little ones! I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip.

As the final stop on my northwestern tour, I can't praise this hotel enough. Since it was off-season, they upgraded my room, and it was incredibly spacious, as shown in the pictures. A staff member guided me to my room upon arrival, and I even received some complimentary desserts. The room was spotlessly clean, and the smart home features were excellent. While the breakfast selection wasn't huge, it had all the essentials. The location is fantastic too, within walking distance to the night market, and it's a very short taxi ride to the airport, high-speed rail station, and various attractions. On my checkout day, my flight was repeatedly delayed, and the hotel kindly allowed me to return to my room to rest. I'm very grateful for their hospitality.

GGuest UserMy stay here was absolutely fantastic, completely exceeding my expectations. The hotel's location is super convenient, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, making getting around a breeze. The room was spotless; no strange odors from the carpet or bedding, and the mattress was just right – not too soft, not too hard. The soundproofing was excellent too, which meant I actually got a truly restful night's sleep, a rarity for me in hotels. What really impressed me were the thoughtful service details. The front desk attendant checked me in quickly and even proactively asked if I'd prefer a higher floor, then upgraded our room! Even the cleaning staff greeted us with a smile. There were complimentary snacks and white fungus soup in the room, and you could ask the front desk for a foot soak tub between 6 PM and 11 PM. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, hot water instantly, and strong water pressure – perfect for washing away the day's fatigue. It's truly rare to find a room of such quality and warmth at this price point. I'll definitely prioritize staying here again next time I'm in the area.
XXiaoQbumojiOverall, I'm satisfied. The price isn't expensive, so it offers decent value for money.
Facilities: The room itself is quite good, on par with your typical Mercure or Ji Hotel in a city. However, there's a disconnect with the public facilities like the laundry room, elevators, and restaurant, which are a bit subpar, more like a guesthouse.
Environment: It's right next to the night market, so the location is excellent. There's also a shuttle bus across the street that goes to the Mogao Grottoes.
Hygiene: There were some blind spots for cleanliness. On the day I checked in, there was still a positioning sticker from the previous guest's bathtub liner stuck to the tub. It's not a major issue, but it does show the level of hygiene.
For around 200 yuan, it's a very good price. If it were peak season, they'd need to improve a bit more. I regret not taking photos of the interior, but the hotel's pictures are accurate and trustworthy; the actual room is exactly as shown.
GGuest UserThis is a truly classic five-star hotel with its own large parking lot that connects directly to the front desk. The room amenities are incredibly comprehensive, featuring a mini-bar stocked with local Dunhuang snacks, plus a foot spa tub and bath salts – a really impressive touch. The decor has a bit of an 'old money' vibe, and after staying at a lot of Huazhu hotels, I found it a bit hard to get used to this particular style. However, every nook and cranny of the room was spotless and odor-free! Even the carpet was surprisingly clean. Furthermore, the breakfast buffet in the morning was truly 'beyond five-star,' with about six different food stations, offering an even wider variety than InterContinental, and the flavors were incredibly authentic. I highly recommend ordering the lamb soup; its taste is unbeatable.
GGuest UserAmazing value for money! I got a luxurious experience for a very reasonable price, what a pleasant surprise!
This hotel truly exceeded my expectations! I never thought I'd book such a high-end hotel for such a great price.
From the moment I walked in, I could tell it had great taste. The interior decor uses high-quality materials and has a fantastic design. The room decor was very unique and stylish, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable – I slept like a baby. The service was impeccable; all the staff were super warm and friendly, always ready to help, which made me feel very welcome. Breakfast also deserves praise, with a wide variety of delicious and exquisitely prepared dishes.
Even my picky German husband raved about this hotel. Next time we bring the kids for a trip, we'll definitely stay here again! Highly recommend!
GGuest UserWhen traveling to Dunhuang, I wanted to book a quiet hotel and chose this hotel. The result was unexpectedly good. Not only was it quiet, but the environment was also very good and very cultural. The preface to the Lanting Collection was carved on the wall of the lobby. I heard it was written by the boss. . The service was also very friendly. Check-in was quick, they answered all our questions and sent us to the room. The room is also very warm, the facilities are new and complete, and there is a humidifier. It is really good to have a humidifier in Northwest China. The bathtub also comes with a disposable bathtub cover, so you can take a bath with confidence. I came back very late from my trip to the Western Front. I asked for two extra pairs of slippers, which were delivered quickly. Good hotel, good service!

GGuest UserI chose this hotel for my trip, and the room was thoughtfully furnished. The twin beds were very spacious, and two adults could comfortably stay in one room. The bedding was clean, pure white, soft and gentle on the skin, and provided just the right amount of support. After a long day of business travel, I could fall asleep immediately. The upholstered headboard was a thoughtful touch, preventing discomfort when using my phone at night. The placement of power outlets and switches was also very convenient, making charging and controlling the lights easy. The hotel's attention to detail was evident; the throw pillows and bed runner were stylishly coordinated, not the generic hotel furnishings, but rather a comfortable and inviting touch. There was also a lounge chair by the window, perfect for relaxing in the afternoon sun or enjoying a cup of tea. Cleanliness was impeccable. The sheets and duvet covers were spotless and odorless, the floors and surfaces were impeccably clean, and the bathroom was spotless and tidy, giving me peace of mind. The staff were also very attentive, checking me in quickly and patiently answering any questions. Overall, the service was excellent, making me feel very comfortable.
It's very close to the museum and Crescent Lake, making it very convenient to get around and providing a great experience. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, I highly recommend choosing this place!

AAnonymous UserThis is by far the best value-for-money hotel I've ever stayed at, with the most exceptional service! When I arrived, the driver who picked me up was in a suit and very polite. The hotel rooms are huge and spacious. The restaurant's à la carte dishes were surprisingly delicious and reasonably priced, and the breakfast selection was also very rich, outperforming a good majority of other hotels. But the absolute best part was the hotel staff. In the morning, while I was having breakfast in the restaurant, another guest accidentally spilled chili oil all over my jacket. I was really upset and felt helpless. The restaurant staff immediately reacted, helping me send the jacket for cleaning and drying. It took less than 20 minutes from start to finish, and it didn't disrupt my plans at all. It's because of the professionalism, warmth, and thoughtfulness of the restaurant, laundry, and front desk staff that this little travel mishap was quickly resolved for me. I really love Zhangye as a city; from the hotel to the attractions, it's given me a fantastic travel experience!
GGuest UserThis hotel has a real warmth to it. As a businessman, I'm constantly on the road, booking and paying on the spot. I'm not very tech-savvy, so the online stuff confuses me. Xiao Li, the lobby manager, was incredibly enthusiastic. After patiently listening to my situation, she told me that booking through the platform would be more cost-effective than an on-the-spot reservation and even walked me through how to do it. The young lady who checked me in, Xiao Ya, was not only beautiful but also very professional. She upgraded my room for free and even gave me a sand-proof neck gaiter and a mask, which was incredibly thoughtful given the current season of flying catkins. They also offered a complimentary breakfast. Even though I'm Muslim and couldn't eat it, the gesture itself was heartwarming enough.
