Echeng Hotel (Xiamen Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street)

The transportation is convenient and fast, and the environment is beautiful, comfortable, and clean.

Don't book this hotel ever again! I have no idea how it got a 4.9 rating!!! Firstly, as soon as I entered the room, there was a strong, unpleasant smell, and they didn't even use an air freshener. Secondly, the table and sofa were quite dark, making them look dirty. Thirdly, the blackout curtains in the room didn't close properly, so after 7 AM, sunlight streamed right in, making it impossible to sleep in. The facilities are truly awful. Fourthly, the air conditioner's temperature display light stayed on all night, and the light control button on the remote didn't work. So, I was kept awake by that AC light all night and slept extremely uncomfortably. In summary: This is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in!!! It can't even compare to a Grand Mercure hotel. My experience at Yicheng Hotel was absolutely terrible!!!

The location is pretty good, and it's a new hotel. The breakfast was a bit awkward though, haha. The staff mentioned that the restaurant is outsourced, not directly managed by the hotel, which left a bad impression on me. Overall, it's still good though!

I originally booked for three days and two nights, then extended my stay for another day. The environment is really good, and everything is quite clean. The location is excellent, only about a five-minute walk to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, which is super convenient! They even have robots deliver food!

Highly recommend! We arrived very early in the morning and they still managed to check us in. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The location is excellent, just a short walk to Zhongshan Road. The front desk had plenty of snacks, and the little treats tasted great – my kids especially loved the cookies. Definitely great value for money!
