4-Star Hotels in Anhui, China

The hotel is located conveniently between the front and back mountains, making it easy to catch both sunrise and sunset. However, the room facilities are old and dated; the TV frequently blacks out, and the soundproofing is terrible – I could hear people spitting downstairs as if they were right next to me. The hotel breakfast was unappetizing, with hardly anything good to choose from. But considering everything has to be brought up manually, it's somewhat understandable. Overall, while Huangshan's scenery is stunning, conditions on the mountain are indeed challenging. On the positive side, the staff were all very helpful. There's definitely significant room for improvement.

The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming and the location is super convenient. What really stood out was how the hotel anticipated our needs, even before we thought of them. Since it's on a pedestrian street and cars can't drive right up, the front desk proactively asked if we needed parking for our car and if we needed help with our luggage upon arrival. So thoughtful! The hotel's cleanliness was impeccable, breakfast was varied and fresh, and the afternoon tea was a lovely touch in an elegant setting. They even offered a comforting late-night snack. It truly felt like a home away from home. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Anhui, and I'd recommend it to all my friends!

I wanted to share my experience from this stay, which truly exceeded my expectations. The hotel's location is excellent, perfectly situated with all amenities nearby, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing, dining, and shopping. What I found most reassuring was the cleanliness; both the room and common areas were spotless and bright. There wasn't a speck of dust in the corners or any stains in the bathroom, and all the toiletries were neatly arranged, which made me feel very comfortable. The in-room facilities were comprehensive and thoughtfully designed, providing a great user experience. You can tell the hotel puts a lot of effort into maintaining its hardware. Furthermore, the service here was exceptionally heartwarming. The staff were polite, attentive, and genuinely friendly, demonstrating professionalism in every detail. From check-in to check-out, I felt a genuine sense of sincerity throughout my stay. It's perfect whether you're staying for a short visit or a few days. I've already saved this hotel and will definitely be returning.

A very satisfying stay. From the moment I got out of the car, the warm welcome from the security and front desk staff, to the thoughtful details in the room after check-in – every single aspect exceeded my expectations. The front desk service was enthusiastic and attentive, always willing to help, and check-in was swift. They also recommended some excellent local restaurants. The security guards were also very kind and actively helped with my luggage. The living room in the room was spacious, bright, simple, and elegant, while the bedroom was cozy and comfortable. I slept incredibly well. Overall, it was far beyond what I anticipated.

Traveling as a trio, we booked the family room. Being on the fifth floor was a bit high, and coming back from hiking without an elevator was quite a challenge! 😂 The room offered a great view of Bright Peak (Guangming Ding). It's a perfect spot for a two-day trip, right on the way to the West Sea Grand Canyon, and convenient for catching sunrise and sunset from Danxia Peak 🌅. The butler service was also very thoughtful ❤️.

Chose to stay at Mercure based on Ctrip's recommendation for two nights. It's within walking distance to the Namdaemun Transfer Center, and there's a restaurant downstairs, making transportation very convenient. The room was very clean, and housekeeping was excellent. The front desk staff were warm and patiently helped me plan my itinerary. The breakfast had a rich variety and tasted good. The facilities are complete, with a laundry room and a gym available. Highly recommend overall!

Pretty good, the hotel is very close to the Xiaoyao Stream Transfer Center, so you can easily walk there to catch a bus. Breakfast is on the 2nd floor and quite substantial, perfect for fueling up before heading out. It's currently the off-season for Huangshan, so we only started queuing for the shuttle at 7:10 AM and got on within about ten minutes. It was foggy on the day we visited, which made for a unique and different kind of scenery. The hotel staff were also very helpful and proactively asked if we needed a pickup service, which was a great touch. Highly recommend!

This hotel is really great. We planned to visit Tunxi Ancient Street after hiking Mount Huangshan, and the hotel is very convenient, only about 2 kilometers from the bus station. It's super handy to stay here before climbing Mount Huangshan. If it's your first time in Huangshan and you're unsure of directions, you can check out some guides – they'll tell you that the Xiaoyao West Transfer Center is the closest to the mountain entrance, and this hotel is the South Gate branch. Vienna Hotel is a chain, and this particular one offers a fantastic overall stay.

The room was quite clean and tidy, equipped with both heating and air conditioning. The view was also spectacular, with a viewing platform right outside the window. They provided green tea and black tea bags. Down jackets were available in the room for guests to wear when it got cold at night and in the early morning. The housekeeper was excellent and very thoughtful. They helped us with directions, provided weather updates, and even offered raincoats when it rained. Breakfast was a buffet and tasted decent. The dinner buffet was a bit pricey, and the overall taste was comparable to a Northeastern Chinese boxed meal.
