Mercure Hotel

Overall, a good experience. The room seemed recently renovated, as there was a slight odor. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic, especially Yaoyao. The breakfast was plentiful.

The room layout is quite sensible, and the bed is very comfortable. The food at Xu Mama Restaurant downstairs is delicious, and the location is super convenient, right at the Tangkou highway entrance. The only downside is that the new renovation smell is a bit strong.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from the Huangshan South Gate Transfer Center. The room was clean and comfortable, and they even thoughtfully provided noise-canceling earplugs. The breakfast buffet opens at 6 AM, and the hotel also offers free hiking pole rentals.

Facilities: All rooms are equipped with smart amenities. Hygiene: The room was clean and tidy. Environment: The location is excellent, right near the Huangshan Transfer Center, and the Xu Mama Huizhou Cuisine restaurant next to the hotel is delicious! 😋 Service: The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. Before our hike, they provided us with walking sticks and raincoats, and when we returned, there was a complimentary self-service afternoon tea.

The room was very new and clean, spacious and comfortable – unbeatable for this price range. The service was also excellent, and the hotel was very generous with breakfast.

Just a few minutes' walk from the South Gate Transit Center, and there's a decent restaurant right next door, so dining is convenient. The mini-fridge had a coke and water, which was perfect for taking a bottle with me on my hike.

Our trip to Huangshan was made even better by choosing the Mercure Hotel Huangshan South Gate Transfer Center. The hotel was quiet and impeccably clean, and the breakfast offered a great variety of options. It's super convenient with restaurants and a supermarket nearby, and getting to the transfer center was a breeze. We'll definitely pick the Mercure again next time we visit Huangshan.

The hotel has an elegant design and a pleasant, comfortable scent. The bedding was great, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the hot water in the shower was excellent. It's a 10-minute walk to the transfer station. Breakfast was just okay, but the coffee from the machine was really bad and could definitely use improvement. Also, I booked a 'Guest King' room, but was given a 3rd-floor room with no view. Looking at the room configurations, there seems to be no difference between the 'Deluxe' and 'Guest' room types, so there's no need to pay extra for an upgrade; it just depends on what the front desk allocates at the time. Oh, and there's a free self-service laundry machine (washer and dryer), which is quite good, though don't expect your clothes to come out perfectly clean.
