5-Star Hotels in Madeira, Portugal

Excelent choice for our stay in Madeira. The hotel is located in a natural botanical garden - some will count this as a minus, but I disagree. On our arrival, at 2AM - Bolt cost was 25USD (31kms). Excelent service, very clean, lots of activities and friendly staff. Totally recommended.

Everything was fantastic, hotel location, services and design of the hotel. I enjoyed the 2 nights there. Unfortunately the welcoming was not good for me as I waited for 3 hours and 20 minutes. Yes I came early before the check in time which is 2 Pm and I came at 11:50 and the front deck staff ( Eduard ) confirm to me that my room will be ready at 2 pm but till 3:10 pm only I got to my room after I esclate my issue to the front deck manager ( Peter ), the problem was not about the time I lost, but the attitude of front deck staff as he is looking to my face multiple times and he didn’t come to say sorry that your room not yet ready just to apologizing…

we have stayed here for 5 nights and the breakfast choice was as great as we have thought after reading the reviews simply because they stick to just fixed items whereas when we stayed in 5 stars hotels in asia, there's always slight difference of options daily for breakfast. the stay was ok, I would stay it feels more like a good 4 stars than a true 5 stars

The breakfast is very good, suitable for children, the location of the hotel is impeccable, it can be said that the best. Recommended by British friends, the price is more expensive than other hotels. I didn't feel anything special when I looked at the website pictures, but I still believe in my friends and I booked them. Check-in is at night, from the front desk reception to the lead to the room to experience the professional, enthusiastic and meticulous service of the hotel staff. Needless to mention the room, there is a hotel manager's personal welcome speech, service introduction box, postcard, welcome dessert... Feel the bay's breeze night view on the balcony, drink some red wine, great. After a long-distance flight, take a shower in the classic and elegant bathtub, sweet as a dream. At 7 o'clock in the morning, the sun has not come out, greet a new day in the heated swimming pool in Jingyi. If you like sea water, you can swim in two seawater swimming pools, especially the unique piscina pool on the beach, let you let go of your imagination. Breakfast is a surprise. Every meal is carefully prepared, with a wide selection of ingredients, a wide variety of foods, and a lot of local specialties. The tableware is exquisite, and you can enjoy the feeling of the rising sun. The breakfast manager is great, remembering the name of each guest and feeling warm. The garden of the hotel, as a gardening professional, can only Wow, linger on, can't bear to leave, look at the picture... The hotel is old and the location is very good. We live in the tower and we can see the sunset at night and the sun is shining in the morning. The breakfast room is very good. We ate outside and loved it. There are many varieties of breakfast, and the quality is good. The swimming pool has an outdoor swimming pool, so the bold can swim directly in the sea.

The hotel service is very good, the room is very clean, you can put together a big bed or split it into two single beds, the room is large, although the hotel has a long history, it is well maintained, there are indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and there is snorkeling on the sea. The hotel is built by the sea with beautiful scenery. The lower part of the hotel has one side against the cliff, similar to the Shenkeng Hotel in Songjiang, Shanghai. It is convenient to walk to the city for 15 minutes. There is a bus stop at the door. The breakfast is also very good. The local climate in early February is really pleasant, and the air is very good. It is worth coming again.

The hotel is conveniently located near the Lido area; great restaurants around the hotel and the airport bus stops right outside the hotel (return cost 8 euros)! Staff really friendly also and the team arranged a little surprise for my partner s birthday also. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast buffet was really good too with lots of choices. Hotel amenities were good too. All in all a great hotel. We also enjoyed the 30min walk to the old town from hotel but appreciate this may not be for everybody…though plenty taxis and the local bus route are a skip and a hop away.

I liked it very much, but we knew it!

We were very comfortable at the Pestana Grand Hotel. The guests were 60+ , which did not disturb us. The food could be a little more spiced and after a week half-pension it was enough. The mattresses were very soft at first, but I did so well. The internet is very weak, but somehow everywhere on the island, not enough to work m.E.. All in all was but a super relaxing week U d in the evening there was almost always life music (for the older semester:-) )
