However, because it's so close to the scenic area, it's located in a restricted zone. ⚠️ You MUST use Didi (ride-hailing app) to get directly to the B&B's doorstep. Plus, the hotel offers a 7-seater shuttle service, so transportation is a breeze for families. The hotel has a unique charm and a strong sense of history. The service is exceptional, and the room facilities are brand new. They pay attention to all the details, like providing disposable toilet seat covers and bathtub liners for a relaxing soak. They even offer slippers and toiletries for children. There's a complimentary late-night congee and afternoon tea every day, and the breakfast sets are incredibly varied and delicious!

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! The front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. I especially want to commend Ms. Qu Xianlin, a server in the restaurant, for her exceptionally thoughtful and enthusiastic service. She personally brought us coffee and fruit, which I found very touching. Thank you, staff of Sunshine Hotel! The bedding was comfortable, and the room was spacious and very clean. I'll definitely come back if I have the chance.

This hotel truly impressed us in every way. The service alone deserves 5+ stars. Miss Wendy (who is the front desk manager and looks like the only one who spoke English) was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and incredibly proactive. Wendy anticipated our needs, provided helpful local recommendations, allowed us to choose the room we preferred, and even helped us to select tickets to the national park without any hassle. The room had a fantastic view of the mountains, which made the stay feel very special. Breakfast was outstanding—easily a 10/10—with a wide selection and a beautiful view from the restaurant. The location is also a major plus: very close to the train station and extremely convenient for both the airport and train stations. As an added bonus, there is restaurants nearby, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere in the evenings. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie. Because of the Wendy we extended our trip in this hotel for another week.

I was very satisfied with my stay this time! The hotel environment is elegant, the room is spacious and comfortable, and the cleanliness is impeccable. The staff were warm and professional, making me feel right at home from check-in to check-out. The location is also very convenient, making it easy to get around and find food. I will definitely choose this place again next time I visit Changsha!

A very unique and memorable stay in Zhangjiajie! We stayed 2 nights in the Morning Glow King Suite Bedroom. The highlight of this homestay is its cave concept. The reception area is huge, impressive, and beautifully designed, creating a real wow factor upon arrival. The property also features a cave restaurant where breakfast is served, and dinner can be arranged with advance booking. There is also a cosy cave lounge for guests to relax. Our room was large, comfortable, and very clean. The facilities were well maintained and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. Location is excellent. The homestay is hidden behind the famous theatre performance venue but only a short walk to the main street, making it convenient while remaining quiet. Highly recommended for travellers looking for a unique accommodation experience in Zhangjiajie. The cave setting alone makes it worth staying here.

Staying at Forest homestay was the best decision we could have made during our trip to China. The service was truly 5 star. The staff at the lodge are so kind, helpful and efficient. We got personalised itineraries each day that changed a lot based on the weather, which was quite mixed! I was very impressed by their efficiency and flexibility. Each day we were driven to and from the park gate (for free). Pickup was within a couple of mins of us messaging that we were ready to leave. All of the staff were wonderful, but Guo Pu was a standout from our trip. Not only did he cart us around and respond to any questions via WeChat within minutes, but he made sure we got the most out of our time there - he pulled fruit from fruit trees at the lodge for us to eat, showed us the various animals they keep onsite, and took photos of us at the sky mirror. He was really great at giving instructions for getting the best effects! (Photos attached) The room was superb - lots of great features like a heated air function in the shower that was helpful for drying off wet clothes after we got caught in a downpour. The room is a rustic style and there’s a few places that could do with a lick of paint and tidying up, but this added more to the rustic charm! The view really was incredible. The location of the lodge might first seem far from the action of the park, but trust me, this is a blessing in disguise! The park gets incredibly busy, especially around Yuanjiajie. The busyness really can ruin the natural beauty. Being close to the Westgate allows you to access the park from the most uncommon direction which is actually marvellous as it means you are less likely to get caught up in crowds and queues as you are travelling around the park in the opposite direction of the vast majority of the tourists. This really makes a difference and maximising the time that you have in the park. Because of the mixed weather, we ended up travelling most of the top sights in the park again on the single good weather day and this worked really well because of our direction of travel. The Westgate is much quieter and the surrounding area is much more peaceful than the busy area around the east gates. This allows you to really enjoy the peace and beauty of nature when you aren’t exploring the park. I would highly recommend staying here when you visit Zhangjiajie, and I’d like to thank all of the staff for such a magical and amazing time.

Harmona resort and spa hotel is amazing place for rest. Very comfortable, clean. Service is great. Daily cleaning. Personal is very polite. Resting here, we have really enjoyed. View is top beautiful. It is a little far from city, but it is worthy to stay here, landscape is unbelievable. Who is tired of city mess, it is ideal place for retreating.

We stayed 2 nights at Wyndham Garden Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain, i booked 2 rooms for me and my parents with room combination of 2 pax and 3 pax each. The room is clean and the view is nice. Breakfast also not bad. The hotel location is also near to restaurants which we just walk for few mins for our dinner. The breakfast has many variety and quite nice.

The hotel is excellent. Even though I didn't stay there myself, I booked it for a guest, and they gave great feedback – comfortable beds and a rich breakfast. Personally, my impression of the hotel is also very good. I often waited in the lobby for my guests to head out, and I'd always grab a cup of coffee and a few cookies. The hotel never stopped me from taking these free items, even though I wasn't a staying guest. In fact, they also offer unlimited free ice cream and drinks in the lobby, but I only ever went for the coffee. This really shows how generous and classy the hotel is!
