This hotel was truly excellent, and probably one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in with regard to the quality of the rooms, and especially the quality of the service provided. The building: reception, interior, balcony, and rooms themselves, are all extremely modern, well maintained, and have lots of technology such as automatic curtains, voice control (in Chinese only), large televisions, big windows, EXCELLENT air conditioning, robot food delivery, in-room alarms, electronic light controls, modern electric toilets, and even more that I won't list here.
The hotel also has on-site free laundry service (self-service but the detergent is provided), gym, and a very good breakfast. The location of the hotel is very good, and we found it convenient for everything we wanted to do, including being only a short walk (or Didi) from the city centre, and only 10 minutes walk from the Tianmen Mountain cable car.
However, the true stand out of our stay was the service. It was my birthday during the stay, and the hotel decorated the room with balloons, provided a cake, happy birthday lettering in Chinese, and made sure that the surprise was kept from me until my partner arrived to be there with me to receive it. I would like to especially thank Xiao Li for helping to arrange everything during our stay, and all of the staff that were involved in our care. The service was truly outstanding and far beyond what I have received at five star hotels in the past. They were quick to reply to any WeChat message and no request was inconvenient for them. We really felt looked after.
We booked the mini-suite and this room was incredible. Extremely spacious, with two toilets, a living room, a bedroom, a hallway, a LARGE amount of storage space and cupboards, two televisions, a bath, a shower, a fridge, and three sinks for washing. This was the best hotel room I have ever stayed in and we were so sad to leave. There was no smell of smoke in the hotel at any point.
Thank you to all of the staff for making our stay so special.

The Grand Hyatt Changsha truly lives up to its five-star reputation! The stunning frontline view of the Xiang River is absolutely gorgeous and perfect for photos. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped. From the front desk to the housekeeping staff, everyone was attentive, thoughtful, and quick to respond. Being right next to a shopping district and attractions, it's incredibly convenient for getting around. The breakfast was authentic and plentiful. My entire stay was impeccable, and I highly recommend it! This is a tranquil luxury hidden right in the city, with both details and service being top-notch.
Exceptional Stay! Beautiful, Spotless Hotel and Unmatched Hospitality
Our stay at the Sulv Lianhua Hotel was absolutely perfect, largely thanks to the incredible hospitality we received. A special, heartfelt thank you to Qing Qing, who went above and beyond to make our trip memorable! She greeted us with a wonderful room upgrade to an incredibly beautiful, traditionally styled room that we fell in love with instantly.
As someone who is very sensitive to odors, I was incredibly impressed by how clean the room was—there was absolutely no smell at all. Many hotels, especially in historic areas, struggle with a sewage smell, but this hotel was perfectly fresh and spotless.
Throughout our stay, Qing Qing was exceptionally responsive to every single question we had. She even helped us arrange a free ride to the station and kindly granted us a late check-out, which made our departure entirely stress-free. Fenghuang itself is magical—the town is so vibrant, and the views at night are absolutely stunning. We cannot thank Qing Qing and the hotel enough. Highly, highly recommend!

We had a 3-night stay here. Overall a very good stay.
Reception is excellent – warm and welcoming. We were also upgraded to a deluxe room. Upon checking in, we requested the TV to be facing us. They were very fast to send the maintenance guy to change the direction.
On the last day, there was a blackout for about 30 minutes. The staff cautioned us not to use the stairs but wait for the blackout to be resolved. She is a staff working in the breakfast room. I am impressed with her comments as it shows she looks after customer safety. We told her it was just one floor down and we would be careful. The reception was also very apologetic about the blackout when we checked out.
Coffee and tea are also available at the lobby.
The only feedback is the carpet at the lobby area needs cleaning – they look dirty. Worse still, given that it is a five diamond hotel, guests were lying around at the lobby area with their legs on the table. This is unsightly.
The travel agent on level 1 is also good. We booked the ticket to Tianmen Mountain – it was cheaper than online prices, and she provided good advice and information.
Overall a very good stay except for the unsightly hotel guests and carpet at the lobby area.

The staff are very helpful and accommodating, the rooms are spacious, clean, and new (or newly renovated), and the location is central and easy to walk or DiDi from We stayed one night in a regular room and one night in the room with the tub. The tub is humongous! Easily fits 2 people lying straight. Included in options for free tea service is a pot of their local specialty, yellow tea, which is nice to try, or you can pick some milk teas and desserts. The teas are good, the desserts and breakfast was just okay. There are food stalls and restaurants everywhere though, so you can just eat out or takeout and bring to your room to eat. Overall amazing place to stay while in YueYang!

I’ve been travelling for decades and stayed at a huge variety of places. By far this is the best one I’ve ever been to.
The whole staff and expecially our butler Yuan yuan和xiaotang were super helpful and friendly. I was so much impressed by their help and readiness to adjust , find ways to solve our problems or fulfill requests. We’re travelling with a child , so we had a lot of requests! We’ve been to a range of 5-star hotels around the globe, but have never seen such help and hospitality.
I’d highly recommend using the hotel taxi for the airport pickups and getting around since it is much better than the local didi choices. You just don’t have air conditioned didi options in the village no matter how much you’re ready to pay. Just old cars with open windows. The hotel cars are new, spacious and comfortable. And the drivers are all very good.
We’ve also enjoyed breakfast very much. Lots of options. And especially good for a child (not spicy and a huge variety of buns).
The location is close to the national park entrance and you walk around 10min to the entrance through a very nice and picturesque park by the river side!
The hotel features its own natural cave with colourful lights. So beautiful! And it’s a great escape in rainy days or demanding days when kids and elder people aren’t exactly eager to go anywhere else but still wish to see something. We’ve even discovered a tiny colony of bats inside!
The hotel has several nice terraces overlooking the park, riverside and the village center. We’ve found it ideal for having snacks or tea outdoors and enjoying the village lights in the evening. The whole hotel territory and the pool are so beautiful, well designed and perfect for taking pictures.

This hotel boasts excellent facilities. The modern Nordic design is sophisticated and elegant, and the rooms are spacious and spotless. With smart home controls throughout, a Serta mattress, and panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, my stay was incredibly comfortable. The service was absolutely impeccable; the butler was attentive and thoughtful, proactively upgraded my room, and provided a welcome fruit platter. Responses were always prompt and efficient. Breakfast was incredibly lavish, featuring local specialties like Hengyang rice noodles and fish noodles alongside Western options. The freshly ground coffee was delicious – every bite and sip was a pleasant surprise. The amenities are comprehensive, including a 24-hour gym and free laundry service, making it suitable for both business and leisure. I forgot to take photos of some areas, but if you're visiting Hengyang, you must stay here. Highly recommended!

My stay was absolutely fantastic! They upgraded my room and even granted a late checkout, making the whole experience incredibly pleasant.
This truly lives up to its reputation as the benchmark for high-end luxury hotels in Hengyang!
Staying at the Four Points by Sheraton Hengyang, I was completely immersed in the top-tier quality of the Marriott brand. A discreet yet luxurious ambiance pervades the entire hotel. The double-height lobby design is incredibly grand, with marble textures complementing elegant geometric chandeliers, creating a sophisticated play of light and shadow. The understated yet lavish decor truly showcases its high-end foundation, and the atmosphere is just incredible.
But the highlight was definitely the luxurious experience in the guest room. The modern Nordic-inspired color palette was incredibly stylish, and the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offered expansive, clear views, perfect for admiring the city's stunning nightscape.
The room features smart home devices, high-end bathroom fixtures, and exclusive branded toiletries of outstanding quality. Coupled with the custom King Koil mattress and high-thread-count bedding, it offered ultimate softness and comfort, ensuring a truly luxurious sleep.
The public areas are also lavish and fully equipped, with a heated swimming pool, a top-of-the-line Life Fitness gym, and a spacious pillarless ballroom, all readily available. The staff were attentive, dignified, and gracefully polite, providing thoughtful and efficient service throughout my stay. From the hardware facilities to the smallest service details, every aspect exudes luxury and quality. This is undoubtedly the premier choice for business travel and quality stays in Hengyang!

Facilities: I was initially quite torn when choosing a hotel. If you're not a fan of high-rise hotels, then this one is absolutely perfect.
Service: The service was incredibly good! They upgraded our room and even included breakfast. The upgraded room was fantastic, and the food delivery robot was super fast – no long waits at all. Plus, the laundry service was also excellent.
Late checkout until 3:00 PM (subject to availability): On our last day, we had some things to take care of, and they allowed us to check out at 3 PM, which was incredibly considerate!

EEloise L.This is probably the best hotel I’ve stayed at by far. If I come back to Changsha, this will definitely be my go-to hotel from now on.
First and foremost, the hotel is clean! That’s my biggest pet peeve when it comes to hotels, and this place exceeded my expectations. The hotel is also themed, so the atmosphere feels much more pleasant and unique compared to a lot of modern hotels. I especially loved the small library space they have.
The room itself is spacious, and the layout is perfect. I like that there’s a separation between the toilet area and the shower area. I also appreciate that the windows can be opened for fresh air. Overall, the room is super quiet, which made the stay even more comfortable.
The service is impeccable. Check-in was smooth, and they offer free laundry service and complimentary afternoon tea every day during your stay. You can also request bottled water for free, and the minibar is stocked with drinks and snacks that are all complimentary as well.
Honestly, I can’t think of a single issue I had during my stay. Highly recommend!

TTuertutuThis hotel is absolutely fantastic! We booked eight rooms and a mahjong room. The mahjong room is actually a suite, it's huge, and the mahjong tiles are big. The hotel even adjusts the mahjong machine program based on the type of mahjong you want to play and assigns the corresponding room. The regular rooms are also exceptionally spacious and very new. It's also very close to Tianmen Mountain, and the breakfast spread is incredibly rich. Highly recommend!
GGuest UserOverall, my stay was quite good. The hotel's environment, service, and facilities were all satisfactory, especially the food, which was excellent, and the room service was also great. The only downside was the complimentary travel photography session. The composition and photo quality were really disappointing; I couldn't even pick one to be retouched, so I ended up not wanting any of them. It felt like a waste of time and really soured my mood. Honestly, if it weren't for this photo service, my overall impression of the hotel would have been even better. I'd suggest the hotel either improve the photography team or simply cancel this complimentary offering.

GGuest UserStaying at Forest homestay was the best decision we could have made during our trip to China.
The service was truly 5 star. The staff at the lodge are so kind, helpful and efficient. We got personalised itineraries each day that changed a lot based on the weather, which was quite mixed! I was very impressed by their efficiency and flexibility. Each day we were driven to and from the park gate (for free). Pickup was within a couple of mins of us messaging that we were ready to leave. All of the staff were wonderful, but Guo Pu was a standout from our trip. Not only did he cart us around and respond to any questions via WeChat within minutes, but he made sure we got the most out of our time there - he pulled fruit from fruit trees at the lodge for us to eat, showed us the various animals they keep onsite, and took photos of us at the sky mirror. He was really great at giving instructions for getting the best effects! (Photos attached)
The room was superb - lots of great features like a heated air function in the shower that was helpful for drying off wet clothes after we got caught in a downpour. The room is a rustic style and there’s a few places that could do with a lick of paint and tidying up, but this added more to the rustic charm! The view really was incredible.
The location of the lodge might first seem far from the action of the park, but trust me, this is a blessing in disguise! The park gets incredibly busy, especially around Yuanjiajie. The busyness really can ruin the natural beauty. Being close to the Westgate allows you to access the park from the most uncommon direction which is actually marvellous as it means you are less likely to get caught up in crowds and queues as you are travelling around the park in the opposite direction of the vast majority of the tourists. This really makes a difference and maximising the time that you have in the park. Because of the mixed weather, we ended up travelling most of the top sights in the park again on the single good weather day and this worked really well because of our direction of travel. The Westgate is much quieter and the surrounding area is much more peaceful than the busy area around the east gates. This allows you to really enjoy the peace and beauty of nature when you aren’t exploring the park.
I would highly recommend staying here when you visit Zhangjiajie, and I’d like to thank all of the staff for such a magical and amazing time.
GGuest UserI arrived at 9 AM to check in and was told the room wasn't ready yet as it hadn't been vacated or cleaned. However, thanks to the front desk supervisor's excellent coordination, my parents were able to check in early and settle in comfortably. I booked a super large double room, and it really was huge – you could almost call it a small ballroom! The room's facilities were clean and tidy. The rice noodles for breakfast were excellent, and the restaurant staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. Before we left, the supervisor even thoughtfully arranged a high-speed rail drop-off service for us.

GGuest UserThis is the best Hampton by Hilton in China. I had a wonderful stay, the hotel is clean and the staffs are so helpful. The minutes you stepped in to the hotel, the receptionist was helpful, the housekeeping staffs are polite and want to make sure you are comfortable, i loved the laundry 007 servicelady in the laundry room are very helpful, after hiking all day in the mountain, we are soaking wet, the self service laundry service had a long queue as everyone needs use the machine, the lady helped out to make sure everyone are happy, top service.
The breakfast is so good, meeting the taste buds of Western and Asian taste. The free soft drinks in the mini fringe was much appreciated after hiking all day. There's free soft drink and ice cream in the lobby for the customer. So thoughtful and much appreciated by my partner.
I am highly recommended this hotel. I am so happy.
GGuest UserWe started planning our trip to Zhangjiajie well in advance and spent ages looking for a hotel online. We were so indecisive because my family is really particular about accommodation, but we absolutely loved this hotel. The bedding was super comfortable, and it was so quiet at night. When you're traveling, a bad night's sleep can really ruin your mood – it almost makes you wish you hadn't come at all! And the food! The hotel has its own restaurant, and the chef's dishes were amazing, even better than what we found outside. Authentic Hunan cuisine, especially the mandarin fish – oh my god, it was incredible! They put a kind of herb called perilla leaf in it, so fragrant! It was even better than any fish I've had on the coast, and the boss himself caught it (we even went fishing with him, but we weren't very good). Everyone, you HAVE to order this clear soup mandarin fish!!!!
