Pros: Big rooms, newr town, clean room.
Cons: noisy beside the street, water tank motor near our room which creates noise every hour. Bidet and flash of toilet broken. No generator in case there is brownout.
I am happy to recommend Fat Lips Surf Lodge as a great place to stay in Siargao.
The location is excellent—situated along Tourism Road in General Luna and conveniently close to popular spots such as AFAM Bridge (Catangnan Bridge), Catangnan BBQ, Shaka Café, and Cloud 9. It is also within easy reach of many of Siargao’s well-known restaurants, cafés, and tourist attractions.
The place itself is cozy, aesthetic, and surrounded by lush greenery, creating a relaxing tropical atmosphere. The rooms are air-conditioned, and I was especially impressed by how clean and fresh the sheets and linens were. Having a private balcony overlooking the greenery was a wonderful bonus.
Everything about the stay was smooth, hassle-free, and well-organized. Guests also have access to a shared kitchen, which is very convenient if you prefer to prepare or cook your own meals.
One thoughtful touch that stood out was that they provide a coffee press along with freshly ground coffee beans for guests to enjoy—perfect for starting the day in a peaceful setting.
Most importantly, the host was incredibly helpful, accommodating, and responsive throughout my stay, making the entire experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, Fat Lips Surf Lodge offers great value, comfort, convenience, and a welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Siargao.
The location is gorgeous, and the huts face the sunrise! The staff are so helpful and friendly. They helped me organise travel back to the airport at the end of my stay, and they have a really talented surfing instructor on-site. The huts are really clean and well maintained. All I would say is, as it's a hut, you can't be squeamish about things like ants or geckos, and the internet connection in my hut was a bit weak. But overall, I would highly recommend this accommodation. Very good price as well. I loved it there!
I had a pleasant stay at IAO Boutique Hotel, thanks to its convenient location in the middle of the city. The road nearby is lined with restaurants, making it easy to explore local food, culture, and even enjoy a festival during my stay. It was a lovely experience overall.
However, my room was located near the reception, and it was quite noisy. I could hear the sounds of people coming and going as well as conversations, which disrupted the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. Despite this, the stay was enjoyable.
Stay here for two nights with my family.nice hote.l room is big and clean.i like the toilet nice shower .staff is really friendly.they welcome us with the big smile..alots of foods around and not far from the shopping centeri highly recommend this place .thanks guys for your good hospitality.
A great hotel on the ocean bank! Unforgettable dawns right from the balcony of the room! The room has all the necessary and clean bedding! The staff and the host of the hotel are very responsive and kind people! The hotel's anturgeon with sea attributes is very beautiful! Все понравилось, рекомендуем!
VCDU Prince Hotel is located conveniently near the main road with easy access to nearby malls, restaurants, and banks. The room was spacious and had decent wifi. The staff was courteous. I also liked their lobby cafe that served good food at reasonable prices -- making my stay even more convenient since I didn't need to go out for dinner anymore.
The accommodation is decent. I wouldn't say it's amazing, but it's alright for the price. Hot water is available. The location is good.
I saw in other reviews that the road to the hotel is bad. I want to give my opinion: yes, it's not great, but don't forget where you are! This is an island village. About 70% of the roads here are bad. However, you can easily get to the hotel on a moped. There's a 500 peso deposit.

AAnonymous UserYou get what you pay for. If you want a budget accommodation with privacy and don't want to stay with a hostel, this is an option. Okay naman location since it is along Tourism Road. The downside is walang masyadong kainan na malapit kapag lumabas ka kaya need mo magtricycle palagi everytime gusto mo kumain. Kaya they also offer free breakfast kasi wala ka nga naman makakainan sa labas na malapit. 6:40am start ng breakfast nila tas yung babaeng assistant wala man lang urgency na ihanda agad at 7am pa magsisimula magluto. Lol. The worst part is yung pinapatay nila yung breaker ng electricty kapag tanghali (kasi inaassume nila na walang tao sa room) kaya minsan sobrang init kapag nagstay ka sa don. So need mo pa sila tanungin kung brownout ba or pinatay lang nila breaker tas tsaka nila bubuksan ulit. Lol. I suggest wag na kayo magstay dito and mas better kung makahanap kayo ng accom along Town Hall para malapit sa kaninan. Note that they collect a key deposit of 100pesos which wag ka na umasa na mababalik. Since all departure flights sa Siargao ay umaga and tulog pa sila around 5am then yung main house is nakalock so I guess yung 100pesos na kinolect is parang payment na rin sa key duplication so if ever na matapat din kayo sa ganung situation eh wag niyo ng iwan sa room yung susi at itapon niyo nalang.
GGuest UserBasic hotel. The room was clean. The bathroom had a broken faucet and toilet seat. No bidet shower. The PVC flooring was also very worn. Renovations were taking place over two days. It was noisy. And the hotel generator, which had been running during the first power outage, hammered away for several hours during the night. But at least we had electricity, of course. But sleeping was out of the question. Scooter rental directly from the hotel was good.
JjinnnnnsIt was difficult because there was no toilet cover, but it was okay because the generator was turned on at a certain time even though the entire island was out of power.

PPhillipsThe room was very nice. Pool and beach were advertised for the property. The pool as no more than 2x3m. The beach was maybe 1m wide to the shore, then all rocks - really not useable.
Staff was very kind. When we told them the beer was warm they told us it was because the refrigerator wasn’t working properly. Many of the food items were out on the menu and we had to wait about 40 minutes for tacos and nachos.
The property itself was ok, but will probably choose somewhere else to stay if I go back to Siargao.

AAnonymous UserAll the staff were really nice except for that one transgender lady there that sometimes would run events. She doesn’t smile or say hi to everyone and would sometimes roll her eyes for no reason at all. But besides that, the place has got to be the best hostel to stay in if you’re looking to socialize and make new friends.
