The twizel town is very beautiful and the place was at the right place. However, the room we choose wasn’t that great. I know it’s a small town but reception area was closed by 7pm so you need to make sure you arrive before time else need to message the check in time.

The motel room is very clean, the car also has a place to park, not far from the city center, and overall is good. The only thing is that the sound insulation is not very good. We live in a small villa facing the street. The single-story glass on the second floor is a bit noisy when there is a big car. But still recommended, the Chinese at the front desk are more lax

The room is clean but small. It is a youth hostel. The shower and toilet are public spaces. The cooking area is large. It is in the center of the town. You must go to eat lobster BBQ.

Great location right by a beautiful lake — perfect for the scenery. The accommodation was generally clean and comfortable, and the bathroom in particular was well-maintained. The kitchen is well-equipped with plenty of pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, a toaster, and microwave. However, some of the cookware could use a proper clean as there is burnt residue on them, and a few of the stovetops don’t work reliably. Cleanliness could be improved overall, as there was some rubbish under the bed. The walls are quite thin, so noise can be an issue — you can hear people walking up and down, as well as doors banging from guests coming in and out of rooms. It’s worth noting that guests need to bring their own towels, make their own beds on arrival, and ***** the sheets before leaving. Overall, a pleasant stay in a fantastic location, with just a few practical improvements needed.

Late checked in no worries at, location very close to airport and city, free shuttle transport to airport, clean facilities and owners very friendly.

I had a single night here in a small unit. It was very clean, and well set up with a table and chairs, small fridge, microwave, cutlery etc. The internet worked well, and the bed was comfortable. I stayed on one of the coldest nights in years (it snowed!) but was kept nice and warm. They use a self check in system, but I still have not found the email with the entry code - luckily, the owners arrived just as I was trying to check in (they can also be contacted by phone). I was able to park by the unit but turning around might be awkward when the place is busy. The motel is in the line of motels on Papanui Road, and a short drive to Merivale Mall for great coffeee at the Savoire Café.

It was a wonderful stay at the accommodation. Check in is super easy and they will give you the instructions beforehand. The hosts have been very nice and helpful. Anything you need it’s just a call away and they will get it right away for you! It’s a good place to stay if you are traveling to Lake Tekapo the next day too!

Great place to stay. Close to the new O-Studio saunas and the tram. The only criticism would be to use 100% cotton in all bedding. It would cut down on the microplastics pollution that occur when washing. Highly recommended!

Room is a bit cramped when full, but when I stayed we had people come and stay for one day only. So not too full. I can’t state enough, I love the idea of turning historic jail to accommodation, which is incredible idea. Kitchen is clean and huge, each bed has their own storage for pantry things in the kitchen, cozy corner is wonderful, books and puzzles! Love loveee! They have two best employees; pumpkin and onion🐈⬛🐈 If you like walking, it’s just 30is min to city centre and there where botanical garden is.

I was very happy with the Blackhorse Hotel. The room I had was quite spacious , the facility was clean, the bed was so comfy, even had a large tv and I had a wonderful staff member that was accommodating and very friendly. A few minutes to McDonalds for easy meal. Not wanting to spend a lot on accommodation for my trip I was happy with my choice and would recommend for other travellers passing through.
