Convenient transportation, small room but good quality and affordable price

The first time I lived in the orthodox squatter house, I was pleasantly surprised. The house is very distinctive. We arrived around 830pm and planned to take the bath shortly, but by the time we settled and got downstairs (around 9pm), someone else was using it so we couldn't get in until after 930. It was a shame that we couldn't enjoy the hot bath as much as we wanted as we tried to hurry out for the next group since they were waiting after us but I'm not sure if they were able to use it as the bath closes at 10pm.

I stayed for two nights. The twin room was large and clean and very satisfied. The toilet and bath were also easy to use separately. I want to use it if I have another chance!

The hotel is located right outside the Otsu Station ticket gates. Entering the property is through the attached bar and restaurant. Most of the nearby restaurants seem to close around 11pm. There are no cooking utensils, but you can bring your own food and drink in the common areas. There are also pots and water dispensers, so we were able to eat cup ramen inside the hotel.

The hotel is small and a bit old. It uses keys, but it is still very clean. It is very close to Hikone Castle Station and some rooms have a view of the Hikone Castle Tower. The hotel has massage chairs and ice cream.

The dinner is the famous local Sukiyaki pot, and the breakfast is traditional food. The hotel is very clean, but the facilities are old. There is a public bathroom and outdoor hot spring where you can look up at the stars. We are the only family living on the whole floor. Due to the location, there are very few people. The toilet is outside the house, which is a bit inconvenient. The service is very Japanese, warm and polite.
